This isn't just a police failing, it is a first responder failing

Yes the police as they are now should have shown up to take statements and investigate and, if they're first, help any injured... but usually firefighters and then ems should be on the scene even before that, and are far better trained to handle situations like that

Yes the police were 4 hours late, but I think the more distressing question is why were they still the first on the scene?

#firefighters usually arrive before ems cause there are more stations than there are hospitals #so they are trained to have a certain level of first aid and stabalizing care #but according to the articles i found neither fire nor ems even showed up? #her mother! who had also been shot! had to drive them to the hospital! #ariana delane #George Floyd #blm #black lives matter #black girls matter
