My favorite yellow and one of my favorite sentai characters overall. I love how he’s a 20th century red colored yellow instead (Yusuke Liveman but yellow basically). He is the most eldest brother coded character ever; the way he gets very upset when he doesn’t have full control over a situation or can’t fix someone’s problem right away, insisting he go with Kai and Fuutaro to the theme park bc “Blue doing things on his own makes him uneasy”, his playfully rude teasing of Sae and Kai, so charming. I do like how he doesn’t mind giving up control when he realizes a situation is out of his depth, like him letting Sotaro make the call on what to do with the friendly grill Org bc he knows his experience of getting his ass whooped by Orgs alone for a year would skew his decision.

His amicability did surprise me, bc prior to starting Gao he looked like the kinda stubborn second-in-command character who butts head with the leader, but no actually he knows petty squabbling would compromise their mission, very military man of him. Also love how genuinely smart (deducing that Rouki was the same naked guy Kakeru saw in a river) and friendly he can be (REALLY wanting to do karaoke with Silver to help integrate him into the team). I also love his lil quirks that aren’t important to the story but give him more flavor as a character, like his random English, his moral stance against eating birds and playing the ukulele a whole 2 times.

Oh and he is so very handsome to me. Kei Horie I love your eye shape and crooked teeth, Yasuhiro Takeuchi I love your long muscular legs, unga bunga awooga
