i know you said you didnt want to talk about it, but re: one of the other anons about the soukor drug cases.
The second video they linked they said a "top global group from sm", but when i actually went to the video's comments, it seems that it was only about BTS members? theres also one comment that the youtube creator hearted that translated to "BTS did it, but why is our EXO tagged ㅠㅠ". and there are several comments defending bts members, regarding things the video implied, but no comments on exo members.
also about the alleged br*thel list thing, i highly doubt that any information will come out about those celebs if they havent taken drugs at the buildings. most of the men on list are single/unmarried, so theres also no means for "hes having an affair" if there are no drugs involved.
As I said when you see this fuss happening know that the government fucked up and they need a distraction to sway the General Public's Attention from the real matter to a stupid Idol scandal. And all companies sign this with The government to help distract the people to not create a Frenzy in the community and create internal wars and fights which may lead to Separation, Vandalism and Rebellion! It's a Political tactic to control the People of the Land.
And in back, the companies get immense Sponsorships and Raise in their Shares and stocks and bigger exposure. It's a WIN-WIN situation for both parties, only the idols are the victims but some get real cash for accepting to be the bait aka Media Plays.
Government asks big companies to release relevant idols' OLD scandals from the archive to create a gray smoke to hide the real Chaos! Some idols go as sacrifice as their companies sold their info and scandals with evidence for the governmental institutions and sell them and their secrets to the media and Sasaengs! Yes companies sell their Idols! You saw how YG simply sold everything about GD and later on when they were asked they said he's no longer under them so they don't know. Lol you see the betrayal. And they do that when they don't care or want an idol anymore and they just don't care about his career and they did ruin B.I from iKon and BOM from 2ne1, and Lucas from NCT, and Chanyeol, and Bobby and GDragon and TOP from BigBang, and Goo Hara from TARA, and many many more.
Remember they hid the big issue with the old president's impurities and scams and Crimes by bringing up "the Burning Sun" scandal that happened way long ago, and they hid the burning Sun with Jenkai, it was all happening at the same period of time.
Camouflage over Camouflage over Camouflage.
They hid that government personality named "Kyungsoo" during the same day by Dropping the " D.O or Kyungsoo from Exo have officially left SM entertainment" the same day the other Kyungsoo fucked up, while Our D.O's leaving SM fight with SM happened in January but they didn't expose it because SM would lose stocks! They did all their best to hide no company would risk the Loss they will face when the exposure of their potential idol leaving UNLESS they're getting Way more money and Shares and Stocks than what they'll lose 😉 you got what I mean 😉?
They used Kwangsoo and exposed his relationship to hide a lot of shit happening back then. Even though many said him and that woman were just in a business relationship. But I don't wanna believe that.
They used NCT's Taeyang's past and ruined him to hide some political issues and SM thought it was the best time to drop it because it's even more convenient that Kris's departure is happening and affected the company so bad. And they used Baekhyun and Taeyeon and exposed their relationship to hide all this.
Again Camouflage over Camouflage over Camouflage.
Some on the other hand get casted in less harmful scandals aka " SET UP DATING SCANDALS MEDIA PLAY" like Jongin and Jennie did, and Kaistal and Jisoo and Ahn Bohyun and HEECHUL and Momo and So on, Jennie and GDragon. Though Jenkai came to Cover up a lot, to Cover up The burning Sun and Jennie's Lazy Scandal and her affair with her Own Boss YG.
The only couple whom I think were genuine are Jihyo and Daniel, at this point.

Yang Hyun-suk resigned only in façade → quietly returned
Tumblr media
Yang Hyun-suk (54) announced the launch of the new girl group 'Baby Monster' and returned as YG Entertainment's general producer.
YG Entertainment posted a video of 'YG NEXT MOVEMENT' on its official blog at 0:00 on the 1st. Through this, the launch of the new girl group 'BABYMONSTER', which will be introduced in 7 years, was officially launched and the 7 members were revealed for the first time.
In particular, Yang Hyun-suk appeared in the video and was introduced with the subtitle 'YG General Producer'. Previously, in June 2019, Yang Hyun-suk announced his resignation due to Seungri's Burning Sun scandal. Yang Hyun-suk said, "I thought there should never be a situation where YG, its celebrities, and fans are harmed by me anymore. I intend to lay down all positions and all tasks at YG."
Even after that, Yang Hyun-suk was handed over to trial for threatening an informant in order to end the drug investigation of B.I, a member of iKON. This was recently acquitted by the court, and Yang Hyun-suk implied a return by saying, "Now I will do my best in my original position."
In the end, Yang Hyun-suk returned with the launch of a new group. He said, "You can think of it as a baby with YG's genes. As the first group to be announced at the new headquarters, we can introduce a team called Baby Monster."
However, since the resignation was only a facade, the return was a scheduled procedure. Yang Hyun-suk said, "I have hopes that I will become a star who will surprise the world, just as I have surprised myself through monthly evaluations for the past four years. I hope that you will evaluate me according to what you see and hear."
Starting with the first introduction video on January 1st, YG Entertainment plans to sequentially introduce the skills and information of Baby Monster members through continuous promotions.
They explained, "Baby Monster members are the final elite members who have overcome a thousands-to-one competition to become YG Entertainment trainees and have undergone professional training for the past four years. Most of them are teenage girls."
"Because I am still a trainee before my debut, I planned this program with the intention of first showing Baby Monster's skills and talents to the public without filtering, and receiving a cold-hearted pre-evaluation. scheduled,” he added.
Baby Monster is a junior group of BLACKPINK, the world's most popular female group, and a new girl group released by YG Entertainment after 7 years, drawing global fans' attention.
BLACKPINK's Jennie praised Baby Monster, saying, "They seem to be doing very well overall." Lisa said, “The combination of 7 people looks very good,” and showed extraordinary affection by directing the choreography.

#FightForWonho
I’ve been in a lot of fandoms in my life. The main ones being One Direction, Supernatural, and now K-Pop. Never in my almost a decade of fandom have I seen such an outpour of love and support and community than I have witnessed in these last few days.
It started as an outcry from hurt fans; hearts broken and lives shaken up at the fact that they were losing a member of their favorite group. It started as a fight to keep him, but it has grown into something so much more than that.
For days now, we’ve been trending hashtags of support and love and solidarity for Wonho. It seems the entire K-pop community is on board; even the other fandoms. The overwhelming love that is being shown for this man, astounds me. It goes to show that when you treat people with love and kindness, those same things will be returned to you twelve-fold.
So far, Monbebe have been trending hashtags for almost 2 days straight, have garnered almost 400K signatures on the petition to have him reinstated, have organized meetups for peaceful protests all around the world, and have even gathered twenty thousand dollars to buy ad space in New York’s famous Times Square and around Seoul, South Korea, to protest the mistreatment of Wonho by his company, Starship Entertainment.
Starship has been mute on the entire goings-on since the beginning of it last week, when a notorious troublemaker with zero credibility, tweeted one little tweet with a malicious rumor, that absolutely blew up to ridiculous proportions. After all the drama, Wonho was the one who resigned from the group, citing his reasons as protecting the group from the harm of being associated with a person like himself.
Starship complied to his request, and Monbebe raged. Shortly after that, another rumor from the same people came about Wonho and some weed he apparently smoked some six odd years ago. We know from previous scandals (namely, iKON’s Hanbin, more well-known as B.I.) that this a serious accusation, and after hours of silence - again - Starship released (only to the press, not an official statement), that Wonho’s contract had been terminated.
Despite the obvious heartbreak, Monbebe’s just cried out louder. And a movement was born. It has stopped being about only Wonho at this point. It has become a way to gain awareness and influence change in the industry. Change for entertainment companies to take real action against defamation, instead of just claiming that they will. Change for entertainment companies to treat their idols like human beings, and allow them to grow and change, like people do, from the mistakes of their past.
This has grown globally, and now we continue to fight this battle, and wait for Starship and the rest of Monsta X to break this silence. Because we are being heard, and if Starship will pretend not to hear us, we will scream louder, because we won’t let another innocent man’s life be ruined by someone with absolutely no credibility to her name. He deserves to be defended by his company, not dropped on his ass, and if they won’t listen, we will drown out EVERYTHING else, and MAKE them listen.
Monsta X fighting! Wonho fighting! Monbebe fighting!

How Survival Shows Hurt iKon’s Popularity
It’s been three years since iKon’s debut yet they still haven’t made a “Big Bang”. iKon has all the talent for creating 100 million view music videos, but the numbers are not reflecting their potential - most of their music videos sit at around 10 million views. On the K-pop playing field 10 million views is by no means little, but as the successors of the global-sensation Big Bang, and now Blackpink, iKon is not living up to everyone’s, and I’m sure their own, expectation. The root of the problem? Survival shows. Who is Next and Mix & Match were designed to promote iKon, but, ironically the survival programs did the exact opposite.
Who is Next
The problem begins with YG’s decision to create Who is Next. The point of the program was to first, debut a group that could live up to reputation of Big Bang, and second, build a strong fanbase for the winning team. WIN failed on both ends. First, WIN ended up debuting Team A, thereby the more mellow, ballad group, and history shows (day6/2am) soft pop groups do not become global sensations. Second, WIN divided the fanbase between Team A and Team B, thereby removing a solid support for Winner - and iKon. Furthermore the entire premise of WIN was flawed. The show had two teams pitted against each other, instead of the traditional survival show where individuals are eliminated one by one. Effectively this meant YG couldn’t actually present its strongest boy group. I recognise this is an incredible controversial opinion, but if YG had debuted Jinhwan, Mino, Bobby, B.I., and Junhoe, I dare say iKon could match - even exceed - the popularity of Big Bang. The format of the show also removed the novelty of of a new idol group. JYP’s survival show Sixteen successfully promoted Twice because the final members was only announced in the last episode, which final lineup was never shown until Twice’s debut. On the other hand, the teams were already set in WIN, therefore there wasn’t the same novelty to iKon’s debut.
Mix & Match
The next mistake was then creating Mix & Match. Fans would have been perfectly happy if YG debuted the six members as the next male idol group. The reason why iKon lost on fan votes wasn’t because fans wanted different members. I truly believe it was primarily because Team B was younger, and voters recognised they would have a second chance but Team A would not. Therefore, since there was no need to “Mix & Match” the show wasn't necessary. You can argue that another reality program helped build iKon’s fan base but that would be if it showed the charisma of iKon. Instead all we saw were stressed out, exhausted young boys sucked into yet another pressure cooker. Mix & Match didn’t show the character of the members only their desperation to debut. It pitted the members against each other when fans really wanted to show teamwork. Finally another reality show just dragged out their debut. Idol groups should capitalise on the initial hype from when they are first released from the dungeon. Members of iKon were first revealed in WIN  on August 23, 2013 and they debuted more than two years later on September 15, 2015. By the time of their debut, viewers had already seen everything the boys could offer - there was no overwhelming excitement to their debut.

K-pop in 2019: BTS, Blackpink break new ground, but deaths and scandal tarnish image of Korean music industry
BTS topped the charts across the world, Blackpink broke records on YouTube and Twice made history on their groundbreaking tour of Japan
The ‘Burning Sun’ sex abuse and corruption scandal, the deaths of singers Sulli, Goo Hara, and Cha In-ha, and vote rigging, cast a shadow over bands’ successes
K-pop was in a strange place at the end of the previous decade. Its biggest artists, such as Rain, BoA and Wonder Girls showed potential to take the sound global, but there was a disconnect between the excitement for the music in Asia and the rest of the world.
Fast forward to 2019 and the K-pop scene is at an all-time high in terms of commercial success and global interest, with this past year being perhaps the industry’s biggest to date.
From the boundaries pushed internationally to the darkness that seeped into the pop-culture consciousness, 2019 was a significant year for K-pop as it moved forward with a new-found rush of interest while reckoning with a series of tragedies and scandals.
These were some of the biggest developments in K-pop during 2019.
Superstars shine brighter
BTS’ roll-call of achievements grew in 2019 as the boy band broke new ground for South Korean artists. Early in the year, they took part in the world’s most prestigious music awards ceremony as presenters at the 61st Grammy Awards, a moment of critical visibility for South Korean artists.
Two months later, BTS would release their new EP Map of the Soul: Persona, ahead of a well-received performance on Saturday Night Live (the American TV show has the ability to boost or ruin careers).
They broke records on YouTube with the video to the single Boy With Luv (scoring 78 million views in its first 24 hours of release – that is close to 1,000 views per second), and reached No 1 on the charts in countries such as South Korea, the US (where it tied a Billboard-chart record previously set by The Beatles), the UK, Australia, and Argentina.
BTS reinforced their global dominance by winning two awards at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and undertaking a stadium world tour; their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” concerts sold out venues such as London’s Wembley Stadium and Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. They ended the year on a high note, winning eight awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony in Nagoya, Japan, on December 4.
Girl band Blackpink made waves in 2019 with a welcome debut at the Coachella music festival in the US on the same weekend that BTS played Saturday Night Live, giving K-pop its most high-profile week in America to date.
Blackpink also undertook a major world tour and broke records on YouTube with their Kill This Love music video. Fellow girl group Twice made history as the first K-pop girl group to undertake a Japanese dome tour.
A new generation prepares to rise
A new crop of promising superstars made their debuts in 2019.
Daniel Kang – a stand-out member of the sensational-but-temporary boy band Wanna One – became CEO of his Konnect Entertainment label; his debut album Color on Me broke records for solo artists in South Korea.
The post-Wanna One excitement continued with exciting new boy bands such as AB6IX (one of the top-selling rookie acts in K-pop this year, featuring former Wanna One members Lee Dae-hwi and Park Woo-jin) and CIX (a message-driven quintet featuring Bae Jin-young), and new solo stars.
Big Hit Entertainment, the promoters behind BTS, diversified its roster with the launch of boy band Tomorrow X Together, who showcased a more tender image. The group had a hit debut album and generated interest across the world.
Itzy was the stand-out new female act this year, and continue JYP Entertainment’s strong history of girl groups, following acts such as Wonder Girls, Miss A and Twice. The quintet became an overnight sensation with empowering singles such as Dalla Dalla and Icy, and toured Asia and America.
Groups such as Ityzy, Blackpink, G)I-dle and Everglow show the promise of powerful K-pop girl groups.
The darkness comes to light
The K-pop world was rocked by a the multifaceted “Burning Sun” scandal, named after a Seoul nightclub co-owned by Seungri, a former member of the boy band BigBang. The club was at the epicentre of one of the biggest scandals to hit not just K-pop but South Korean society.
Involving sexual assault, prostitution, hidden-camera footage, drug use, police corruption and tax evasion, it captivated and baffled a world that seemed unable to reconcile K-pop’s squeaky-clean image with this raft of crimes.
The fallout from the scandal has been major, and there is more to come. Seungri retired from BigBang after being charged in connection with prostitution. Singer Jung Joon-young was sentenced to six years in prison after admitting to filming women in sexual and compromising acts without their permission, and sharing the footage in chat rooms. Choi Jong-hoon, former guitarist and keyboardist in K-pop rock band FT Island, was sentenced to five years in jail for sharing illegal photos, illegally filming and sharing pornographic videos, and bribing police offers to cover up gang rape and drink-driving incidents.
The scandal also led to the exit of YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-suk. The 49-year-old stepped down after allegations of drug use, providing prostitution services, tax evasion and having corrupt relationships with police.
The music industry faced embarrassment after the revelation that it had rigged results of TV singing competitions Produce 48 and Produce X 101. South Korean authorities found that the winners had been chosen from the start, despite viewers paying to vote for their favourites.
News of the rigged vote, and the backlash which followed, put at risk the careers of popular girl group IZ*One and boy band X1, which are made up of contestants on the two shows.
The were changes to the line-ups of many bands this year. Super Junior announced long-time member Kangin would leave the group following years of controversy over assaults and drink-driving; B.I departed boy band iKon after allegations he had attempted to purchase banned drugs marijuana and LSD; Hwall left The Boyz over long-term health issues, Woojin departed Stray Kids for reasons unknown, and Wonho left the internationally known group Monsta X following a series of accusations about his past, including that he was in debt.
Tragedies, but hope for the future
The saddest K-pop stories concerned the deaths of singers Sulli, 25, Goo Hara, 28, and Cha In-ha, 27. Former girl group members Sulli and Goo were suspected to have taken their own lives after years of dealing with online cyberbullying and malicious comments from South Korea’s hypercritical fans. Cha In-ha, a budding actor, had not faced public criticism and the circumstances of his death on December 3 are still not known.
Their deaths highlight the need for the industry to recognise the extreme stress its stars deal with and to provide resources to head off the risk of more deaths.
Slowly but surely, change has been coming to the industry. Groups such as BTS, Twice, Stray Kids and Ateez have tried to tackle the stigma in South Korea about discussing mental health by speaking about the issue in interviews and through their lyrics.
Earlier this year Twice revealed that band member Mina was suffering from anxiety and stage insecurity, and would be sitting out the group’s tour. More recently, former Wonder Girls member HyunA shared on social media how she has been dealing with depression, panic disorders, and a fainting condition.
While K-pop is dealing with growing pains – and there are probably more to come – perhaps in 2020 fans will be celebrating the global accomplishments of its superstars rather than mourning its victims and reeling at its scandals.
