The idea about wedding band au is very delicious, I’d read for sure. You know, it could even be 5+1 thing, where the premise is: five times they played on other people’s weddings and made their special days even better, and ONE time….))))

It’s a bit random, but quite recently one youtuber got married and Basstracks were playing at their wedding, and as a closing song they chose one they never played before, despite being very sad, at least in their interpretation. Your guess?? It was - Sugar, we are going down… i didn’t listen to it yet, I think it’ll be instrumental, and it is on Spotify. It’s just feels so weird to listen to the covers of their songs, you know?

Listening to their covers is always a weird experience because Patrick is just So Much at all times. That said, I just went and listened to this version of "Sugar" and I actually love it hahahaha. I love that the way they play it just lets you really enjoy how melodic the song is, because that can get lost in everything else going on around the song. And they're right, it's a melancholy song (I really always felt that about it when I was writing the devil!fic, that the whole "going down swinging" there is full of such futility) and they play it in this lovely melancholy way. I don't think I'd want to hear Fall Out Boy play the song this way, but it was interesting!

(Sometimes I do wish Patrick would play love-song versions of some of their stuff. Not that I don't love their songs, but I bet Patrick could croon a gorgeous love ballad out of Last of the Real Ones, which has beautiful lyrics. Pete says he doesn't write love songs and that is just not true, Patrick just kind of masks them a bit.)

j-hope performed some tracks of this album as well as others of his solo songs during the 2022 edition of the Lollapalooza festival (Todays’ Bangtan tweet, Naver post, Weverse Magazine article). Videos of the performance are available in the official Youtube playlist for Jack In The Box. Jimin came to support hobi for this big performance (Instagram post).
