Sometimes I wish I'd been told about audio dramas earlier, not just because they're amazing and there are so many out there, but because it feels like an incredibly daunting task to try to catch up on one of the original big ones: Welcome to Night Vale. I've been following @datmcomic's Death and the Maiden comic for a while now, and I absolutely love the colour palettes that are used. Particularly the different palettes for the two main characters, Amors and Evita. So I made a piece inspired by each of them!

It took me so long to find the right purple for this one. For some reason vibrant purple beads have been hard to come by for me. @thepenumbrapodcast was my gateway podcast. It was recommended to me in 2020 and it got me through some rough pandemic times. It also paved the way for me to find all of these other fantastically queer podcasts!

I missed the beginning of Dracula Daily last year and couldn't catch up thanks to how busy I was and the ADHD. I'm absolutely loving that I can read AND listen along this year thanks to @re-dracula! And even if I do fall behind, it's been so easy to catch up by putting on the podcast while I do things around the house - though sometimes I do just need to sit still and absorbe the fantastic and haunting sound design. It's also great to listen to while I'm making jewellery! All that to say, here's my Re: Dracula piece!

A re-post of my Wolf 359 piece! This was made before I figured out the math on my bracelets (optimal is 120 beads for a 4-sided bracelet) so the colours are a little randomly placed, but I think it still holds up!

I haven't had very much time for my jewelry since ether holidays but had a wonderful excuse to get back into it to complete an order for a podcast friend! It's so interesting to me to make a bracelet months or even years after I did the original design. I have new bead colours I didn't before, new clasp styles, have gotten better at it...so it's fun when I do something for a friend and get to update things a bit! Here I've got my original pieces on the left and the new pieces I did this week on the right!

The biggest change was with the Far Meridian bracelet - had some new colours that felt closer to their cover art's palette! I actually made two new versions and this is the one my friend picked out of the three.
