Create Your Legend: Final Names

Thank you all who participated in the naming poll! Here are the final names for our characters!

Some of you may have noticed that our lord's name is actually two combined together. This is because we actually had three names take first place! Those names were Vanilla von Extract, Arlet, and Breakfast. Since one of these names already won for the wyvern, Breakfast will be the name of our lord's legendary weapon, which they obtain later on in their adventure! Here's a sketch of it.

Thank you again for participating in all of these polls! This was very fun to do, and there will be a bonus poll in a separate post.

@ the latest addition, I wonder if that's somehow related to why the quest sometimes spawns Act 1-clothes!Bethany or Carver for one of the last cutscenes. It happened to me like 3 times.

from what I've observed, if you play the quest straight through they'll spawn in wearing their warden appearance but if you save the game in the middle of the area and reload, they'll load in their default act 1 appearance instead. I have no idea why exactly that would be happening. there is an awful lot of code that re-checks and re-applies follower appearances at various points and it's possible something just got overlooked in that area.

🕹️ What’s the first Zelda game you ever played?

First one I ever saw in action and maybe played was Majora's Mask, which was over at the place of some of my parent's friends. But that was only a few minutes, so I don't think that'd really count. The first one I did actually buy and play for myself was Twilight Princess.

🗻 If you were in a Zelda game, where would you live? What would you be doing? (aside from being the hero or princess)

Probably just live as a hermit on either a place like the Great Plateau, or the Hebra Mountains. Those are pretty cozy places.

⛩️ Favorite Zelda Dungeon/Location?

For dungeon, the Sand Ship from Skyward Sword! And location overall. . . honestly pretty tough to chose just one. The Moon from Majora's Mask? The Sacred Grove from Twilight Princess? The sewer system from Twilight Princess? Plenty of choices, really.

💣 Favorite Zelda Item/Weapon?

The Magnet Glove from Oracle of Seasons! It has been over a decade since I last played those games, but that thing left a very strong impression on me back then.

👍 Favorite Zelda Headcanons?

Oh, I got one that I never actually saw somebody else share or have! So, you know how the Oracles games were originally meant to be a trilogy, yeah? But the only ones we got made are the ones that featured the oracles based on Din and Nayru, who correspond to Power and Wisdom on the Triforce. Well, I always found it a bit Inch Resting™ how Onox and Veran sort of resemble Ganondorf and Zelda, and figured that the villain of the third Oracle game would have been visually similar to Link. And, well, if you look at the next Capcom-developed Zelda game, The Minish Cap, there is Vaati's human(oid) form. . . Not really sure how much this counts as a headcanon, but it's what I got.

Well, for starters, there's the big one that I mentioned to you directly a while ago: you coming out as enby yourself, and not really changing your gender expression in any way that I could notice I suspect helped me a lot in figuring out that I myself might be enby myself. Even if I'll have to admit that these days, I'm more and more accepting that I'd probably really like to appear/be read just a smidge more feminine and a lot more androgynous oop-

That aside, you're probably the longest-running of my mutuals on this site, though admittedly with some breaks. I dunno, I just like looking back and seeing that you're still here, even after all this time.

Oh, that's definitely. . . Ma'crish from Xenoblade Chronicles! I just love the quest where she keeps Nopo'rikh, a 26 year old Nopon like a pet, and potentially thwarts his attempts to escape live his own life! Or the quest where she demands that one of the cooks in Colony 6 cooks the food that only she likes, at the expense of his entire business! Or the quest where she talks down to another Nopon in Colony 6 and calls herself the sweetest person in the Colony!

Currently reading: aside from weekly series that i keep up with, i’m currently hopping around between 2DK, G-pen, Alarm clock (a yuri series about a no-nonsense interior designer and her disorganized aspiring mangaka roommate), Kaiju No.8 (a shonen jump series about fighting kaiju, recommended to me by @bakumanfaces), aaaaaand Wyrd and Other Derelictions (an anthology of horror short stories, recommended to me by @thebirdroads)
