With this new trailer, we get a better look at the bag on the table. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a donkey or a bear (it has donkey feet, but the ears are wrong), but there's no mistaking the cute penguin. And is that little white and red egg cosy thing a mouse?. Daddy Kurt has been reading Baby Bethany bedtime stories - it looks like "[2 words] Bo?" in the title. Coincidence or not, there's a Christmasy movie about a donkey called Bo - The Star - due for release in November 2017.
Any ideas?

Lucifer season 6 thoughts:
I feel better than expected. I finished Lucifer s6. My fav season, My ranking: s6, s4, s2, s1 s5 s3. I hope down the road there will be more even thou Netflix never gives movies or spin-offs to series I care about. There are chances Tom & Lauren may not come back. Tom said he would be open to it but he had a hard time accepting the contract for s6 so who knows…. Lauren said she thinks the story of her character is done and she does not think a spin-off about Chloe can be made and I agree. Who knows? Maybe she still can make an appearance. <spoiler> I would be fine even if Rory mentions Deckerstar. I am OK they did not get married. Their souls may still can get married. Question one: Why does Chloe wear Lilith's ring when she appears in Heaven? Question two: does Chloe still have the necklace after ep 8? I am glad it's stated she wears it often even if we do not see it. I hope she does even after Rory's birth and on.I hope Amenediel tells Chloe how Lucifer is doing while he is away. I am glad the producers said Lucifer checks on his family from time to time. Question three: Where is Linda in the future? Who is the Linda Martin in jail? My theory is Linda may left her job or she wrote a new book under a pseudonym. I wish to see more of Trixie and get to find out if she is mad at Lucifer for leaving. I adore Maze trained Trixie, I want her to keep doing that and may ease her anger toward Lucifer if she is really bitter. I wanna see Trixie, Charlie and Rory interact. I was over the moon when Maze and Eve had the Romeo & Juliet balcony scene, amazing! I wanna see their honeymoon and their future. Maze is my favorite character. I care like a demon.  I wanna buy Ella's t-shirt. Her development had me surprised. I love it. I knew Rory's wings shape came from Chloe's temper & her job, so good! I wanna know why Chloe was busy sometimes like Rory stated. I wanna see who teaches Rory to fly and who she gets to fall for. I want to know if Rory gets to meet Deckerstar again. I love the actress who plays Rory,  I first saw her on Blindspot. Many tears have fallen from my eyes during season 6 and I hope to rewatch the show very often. My top series on Netflix. Glad the interviews addressed where Trixie was in the final moments.
Networks should take notes about that Bones cyber spin-off :D I wanna see it come to life!

love, death & robots s2 thoughts
*not spoiler heavy but general LD&R spoilers*
Tumblr media
overall: meh. i didn't hate it, but i didn't quite like it either. it felt like it just... fell short of its own concept. unfortunately it has a bit to do with how short the season was, but a season's length alone shouldn't be a reason for dislike itself so i must elaborate!!!!
what i'm primarily referring to is how it's tagged as an "adult animated anthology" and why that's been so enticing for adults who enjoy animation. s1 gave us such a diverse set of animation styles, attributed from a variety of different studios across the globe, so it felt like a long love letter to those who enjoyed the medium. but s2 seemed to focus on the Hyper Realistic Animation That Almost Feels Real style, which was disappointing. (no hate to axis studio & blur studio tho!! they make great stuff!!!) s1 had its fair share of that, too — beyond the aquila rift is a standout contender — but with s2 practically half the length of the first, you could really feel the disparity with the lack of animation styles. i really wanted to see something with the aesthetics of blindspot or fish night, and i can't say that any of the s2 episodes were comparable.
and this might just be me, but i also missed Happy episodes!!! low tension!! fun!!! s2 showed stories that ended in a nice way, but i wouldn't call exactly them Happy. i mostly missed the silly energy that three robots gave us, which let the viewer a breath of fresh air amidst all the... Death. probably not enough L in LD&R, i think.
plus, while pretty much every episode in s1 was an adaptation of some sort, s2 just felt... less than what the series intended. like, sorta in the same way black mirror s5 was — we're seeing [insert concept here] used in a different way, but since we've already heard it many times before it becomes less interesting. in LD&R's case: robots turning on humans, immortality, Wow Beautiful Woman, etc.. again, i get that they're adaptations, but even saying that feels like an excuse. zima blue from s1 was an adaptation, and that was the best episode of the series imo! so maybe it's a matter of less interesting content, or maybe i'm hard to please? just the fact that there were no original episodes at all was a bummer, especially since the concept from the witness was so wild. however i am glad that they didn't continue with the gratuitous sexual violence that was prevelant in s1... i Was Not a fan of that.
so something i also saw on twitter mentioned how s2's writing/directing credits are mostly if not completely filled by white men, and it made me think some more. s1 was a pinch more diverse in its credits: good hunting was adapted from a shory story by chinese-american ken liu, a female writer janis robertson wrote the adapted script for when the yogurt took over, etc. again, the shorter length of s2 showcases its shortcomings. it feels like the entire series has been missing the opportunity to give voice to the under-represented communities who have struggled to break through the predominantly cis straight white lens of sci-fi. like, sonnie's edge was cool and all, but it'd be a lot cooler if you had any women and/or wlw on the directing credits. i'm not surprised, but it won't stop me from being disappointed.
i repeat, overall: meh. i heard that s3 is set to release in 2022, but truth be told i don't have the highest hopes or much expectation for it. i may watch it eventually, but i'll definitely take a look at the credits first.
but some things i did like about s2, in no particular order: the pacing of the drowned giant, michael b. jordan, the full seven minutes of all through the house, GIANT GLOWING WHALES. s2 still had some good points despite my complaints!!! ahhhh!!!!!

The Weekly Rundown (10/07/18-10/13/18)
Sorry so late! I’m getting caught up on articles. Almost there :) Time to rundown what I’m watching, loving, hating and everything in between! Spoilers ahead!
God Friended Me (”The Good Samaritan”)
Confession time: I didn’t pay very close attention to this week’s episode, but Miles and Cara continue to be adorable. Pretty sure I ship it.
Manifest (”Turbulence”)
I’m not really feeling the chemistry between Josh Dallas and Athena Karkanis. However, the chemistry between  Melissa Roxburgh and JR Ramirez is smoldering.
Josh Dallas is my blue eye baby who makes me feel all the things. He conveyed so many emotions without saying a word in the scene where Ben and Grace discussed the man in her life. WOW!
I want to believe Grace is in love with Ben and not Danny (because it's Josh Dallas and that's all the reason she needs), but I'm not buying it... yet
The whole twins being different ages is a never ending mind bender.
Seriously though what did Ben do for a living?
The Gifted (“coMplications”)
All I want is for Marcos to hold Dawn forever and snuggle with Lorna. Why can’t I have the things that I want?
But seriously though these Marcos and baby scenes are killing me.
Marcos fighting the Frost sister’s mind control was amazing. He was ready to tear everything apart to get his Lorna and his baby. SO HOT.
Andy, buddy what are you doing? Sure, they gave you a better hair cut and cool clothes, but Reeva is crazy. Tell me you know that boy!
I’m having trouble understanding why Reed didn’t want to tell his wife and daughter his powers were coming back. He has two mutant children! They tried to equate Lauren’s fear of “coming out” to Reed’s but it’s just not the same. He was her parent and he hunted mutants. She legitimately feared her father’s rejection. Reed isn’t in the same situation at all and I see no reason to for him to be lying to everyone for months.
Kate hugs Reed once he tells her the truth, which is nice, but were we really expecting her to reject him? Did the writers forget they have two mutant children?
The Gifted blew past all the build up to Clarice and John’s relationship and now they’ve sewn the seeds for the break up - in the third episode. This whole “Clarice is a spy for the Erg and lies to John about it” storyline is only going one place. John is doing his fair share of lying and pushing Clarice away. Needless to say I am unhappy with how this relationship is being handled.
F.B.I. (“Green Birds” and  “Prey”)
Finally got caught up on F.B.I. I thought “Prey” was a much stronger episode than “Green Birds.”
I am so glad they cast Sela Ward! I love her. Her character is much more likable as Maggie and Omar’s boss.
I’m here for Omar doing hot things because Omar is hot. I feel warm every time he talks about his military experience.
Still a little iffy about this show, but I’ll stick with it for now.
This Is Us (Katie Girls)
The depth of my hate for Jack's father knows no bounds.
"Or you can stay and I'll kill him." Honestly, I was okay with that option too Jack.
Randall is a mess watching his brother's movie and I stan this bromance so hard.
I am really freaking glad Randall is taking Kate on because I AM SO MAD AT HER.
Well that conversation swerved quickly. Stay on point Randall.
Okay well now we're off on a whole other thing and Kate is crying. Good grief children.
Not sure how Randall & Kate's discussion became a fight about adoption. The point was to discuss Kate's insensitivity regarding her remark about being the only person able to pass on Jack's genes. How did she turn it into Randall's insensitivity about her miscarriage?
Beth, Miguel and Toby having a group text to discuss their messed up in laws is AMAZING.
Randall is terrible at apologizing but also WHY IS HE APOLOGIZING?
I'm trying to hang with my girl Kate here. I've had a miscarriage and it's devastating, but your personal pain is not an excuse to be hurtful to others. Understanding where Randall was coming from was not a long bridge to cross.
I am so relating to Kevin putting the pieces together regarding Jack's service.
Beth got fired? NOOOOOO. My Beth!
Toby's reaction to Randall showing up was gold.
KATE AND JACK ARE DREAM SEQUENCING AND I AM NOT OKAY. Btw Jack could you advise Kate to stop being such a jackass to Randall? Thanks bro.
Awkward Rebecca and Jack is the worst. You are soul mates kids. Get it together.
Jack wants to marry you Rebecca and have lots and lots of babies. You are his dream.
I hope Randall and Beth have 9 months of savings. Suze Orman says you need 9 months of savings.
Marriage is never 50/50. But I think Beth and Randall have been going 90/10 for awhile and it's time for that ratio to shift.
I love how the writers find commonality in their characters in ways you never thought of before. Randall and Toby sharing their struggles with depression and anxiety was such a beautiful way to bond these characters
Kate wanted to marry Mark Paul Gosselar. Same girl.
"You came across the country to say you are sorry. That's the most Dad move ever." HELLO KATE. NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. You could have added that he didn't need to apologize and you are the one who is sorry but I don't want to editorialize too much. Carry on.)
Rebecca pulled a Jack Pearson on Jack Pearson. EPIC.
Marry you the man who does dishes.
A Million Little Things (”Save The Date”)
HOLY. FREAKING. CRAP. THEY. ALL. FOUND. OUT. That was fast y’all! Wow!
If we’re blowing past the big affair secret does that mean we’ll find out the reason John killed himself? It’s an annoying mystery. Cough up the answers, show.
All the awards to Grace Park. She’s been sadly under utilized on this show until now and boy did she come out swinging. The scenes where she confronts Eddie and Delilah were amazing.
I cheered when Grace slapped Eddie. I have no sympathy for him. He’s cheating because his wife is gone at work all the time? It’s called a mortgage jackass. Guitar lessons aren’t going to get it done.
It irritates me when people act like they have no choice in who they sleep with. Eddie is walking around like falling in love with Delilah was an accident. Listen pal you are a grown ass man. You made choices. Own it. Cheating is such a mean thing to do.  Nobody is forcing anyone to stay in these marriages. Get a divorce before you go hopping into bed with someone else.
I’m only slightly less angry with Delilah but that’s only because her husband jumped off a building. Her scene where she screams to friends to ask if she was the reason John killed himself was gutting. Guit is a bitch.
By the way, even if Jon made his peace with the affair it doesn’t make the affair okay. Also, nobody asked for Katherine’s opinon. Pretty sure she’d tell everyone where to stick if if they’d did though.
I feel like Gary is representing the audience in this episode, i.e. me. I don’t think the writers needed to muddy the water with Gary’s issues with marriage, his parents divorce and his birthday. I understand Jon and Delilah were his shining example of marriage bliss, but we didn’t need to make this about his childhood trauma. His anger was warranted by itself. Delilah and Eddie did an awful thing.
We need to move it along with Maggie’s storyline. She’s the friends-with-benefit-rando-friend-everyone-just-met-but-pretend-like-they’ve-known-her-since-always. Her impermanence in all of these people’s lives makes the level she’s included in things... odd. Let’s get the cancer out in the open and solidify her relationships - particularly with Gary.
Blindspot (“Hella Duplicitous”)
Jane's hair is long. That's how ya know she's evil again
Seriously how do they not know Remi is back? She's so cranky. Jane is much more cheerful. Also, I feel like her voice is three octaves lower.
Remi can fight with samurai swords. Who knew? A list of all of her skills would be great.
Do I call her Remi or Jane y'all? I'm going with Remi for now.
Remi's impression of Jane being worried about Kurt was pretty spot on. Well played evil one.
Anyone else enjoying Remi looking all murdery every time anyone mentions Roman is dead? Same girl. Except I'm sad Luke Mitchell isn't on the show anymore not murdery because that'd be weird.
Jane's dying except she's Remi so like that's a double dose of suck.
Oh score. Cure. This is like Elena being vampire. They'll fix it. I ain't worried. Imma gonna get Jeller babies. Or should I say PLEEEEEEEEEASE give me Jeller babies.
OH MY GOD SHE'S HALLUCINATING ROMAN. Luke Mitchell IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so here for Roman being the crazy voice in Jane/Remi's head.
Sorry Remi. Your super evil terrorist group is canceled. Sorry not sorry girl. Watch Season 1-Season 3 and catch up girl.
Two Sandstorm operatives is more like a club than a terrorist group, but okay Remi. Gotta start somewhere I guess.
It's weird that the cure is re-erasing Remi's memories but also let's re-erase Remi's memories. I ain't a fan.
Damn. Blake is dead? That... was unexpected. Okay so now I'm imagining that Blake and Roman are happy in heaven together. Leave me to my dream.
Kurt is scared... I love you my cupcake.
Wiping her memory and meeting Kurt Weller was the best thing that ever happened to Remi because she's not nice and Jane is awesome. Kudos to Blindspot for reinforcing their central love story while also wreaking absolute havoc on it.
Is Zapata evil now? Is everybody evil now?
Weitz is director. Ugh.
"You can't keep watching me all the time." Girl, he does that when you are totally healthy. Kurt Weller giving Jane fuzzy bunny stares is the show. Seriously, someone show Remi S1-S3.
Haha. She squeezed Kurt too hard to hurt him. What a bitch. Also awesome.
Zapata's smile when she sees Reade on TV. Girl go home.
Rich and Patterson are gonna cure Jane using Santa magic and it's gonna be friggin awesome.
Reciting the wedding video is creepy Remi.
Noooo.... don't break out Mama Shepherd. She be crazier than you Remi and at this point that's saying A LOT.

Gotta say, I’m a liiiittle annoyed with Blindspot: I was all set to check out after s2 - I knew some spoilers and it felt like that would be a good time to wrap it up, but they did a really good job of luring me into s3 and tempting me to invest in it. I legit had a post written that I deleted about how Rich Dotcom should be a bigger part of the show (because boy does it need the comic relief - even the fucking lighting is serious and dark most of the time) and welp, there he is, like they read my mind. Plus the new tattoos look super rad, and the boring main arc is at least being replaced with a new different arc that’ll be boring in new ways.
Still not completely sure if I’m gonna keep watching, I’m not super emotionally invested but I am impressed with the improved writing and that might be enough to keep me around? It’s rare that a network TV show, especially one with CotWs and big complex conspiracy mystery arcs, actually manage to impress me or even not completely disappoint, I will give them that. There are a lot of stupid-traps they DID step in, but a lot more they avoided in a way most shows usually don’t, and I respect that. Shame about the main ship though, it still doesn’t quite do it for me - feels kinda forced/rushed and that’s definitely one of the stupid-traps they did step into. Tbh that’s probably the reason I’m even considering watching more - I don’t feel like I have anything to lose by doing so, there’s no ship they can ruin for me. Blessing in disguise, I suppose. Maybe I’ll save up and do another marathon in a couple of seasons, idk, we’ll see.

@althoughsolemn replied to your post: casual poll what should i catch up on first? the...
s2 of timeless has been quite a ride… I’m still recovering from the finale tbh ;)). Tho i’ve been thinking about catching up on Blindspot too, actually. Haven’t watched since S1 and i haven’t heard spoilers but i remember liking it back at the beginning.
i'll be honest about blindspot. i thought season 1 was great if a little slow at times. season 2 was a hot mess but the finale was really good. s3 has been my favorite so far but that was the increased patterson. i just have been off my tv watching game :(

And what the promo DIDN’T tell us...
Disclaimer: I really suck at not spoiling spoilers. I’m sorry. I spend so much time trying to put together clues from the obscure (and let’s be real, frequently misleading) comments Martin Gero and the cast make that I forget the rest of you might not be QUITE as obsessed with Blindspot as I am. (In which case, I’m not entirely sure why you’re following me, but thank you and I’m glad you’re here!) I will TRY to remember to tag my posts as spoilers, but honestly, anything that looks like me rambling on trying to figure out what’s going on probably contains some sort of spoilers, so feel free to skip to the ones that are obviously gifs or clearly labeled as “fanfic.”
Anyway…. we got a few clues from the S3 Blindspot promo that NBC slipped onto the air without telling anyone. But a few huge questions remain:
When/where/how was Jane tattooed? MG told us that Roman is behind them and that the new tattoos sometimes refer to the first layer of tattoos, which made sense since 1) Roman is hella mad at Jane, and 2) he is one of the few people (or the only one?) left with the knowledge of the first layer of tattoos. But Jane seemed pretty surprised to discover she turns into a human Lite Brite, so apparently she didn’t know she had been tattooed. So when would Roman have done this? Jane would ostensibly have gone into hiding immediately after she left Kurt. So if the assassins couldn’t find her… how would Roman? Unless… Jane has been in contact with Roman. It seems in character for Jane to decide that if she was going to be a fugitive anyway, she might as well use that time to hunt her brother down. (And she might suspect him of being behind the hit.) When Kurt found her in Nepal, she immediately asked if Roman was behind the team being abducted… which would suggest that she is aware that he is still out there and up to something, which is information she didn’t just happen to hear from the monks while hanging out on a mountain for eighteen months. So what was Jane up to while she was running from assassins?
We’ve been told that the tattoos contain secrets about the team. Now are they secrets from before she joined the team (I assume that Shepherd knew every deep, dark secret about every single thing they ever did, so Roman would likely have known too) or secrets from what they’ve been up to during the two year time gap? If the latter, then the tattoos must be fairly recent, in order for the team to have had time to acquire said secrets and for Roman to have learned about them and incorporated them into the tattoos. (Although I still want Jane to learn about Tasha’s gambling and the fact that she sold Jane out to Carter in order to pay her debts.)
All of which means…. Jane left Weller, was off doing something somewhere for some period of time (trying to find the person who ordered the hit, perhaps?) before coming back into contact somehow with Roman (either with or without her knowledge).
Which brings us to the second big question: Who ordered the hit on Jane? It can’t have been Roman. If he wanted her dead, he would have just killed her, instead of going through all the trouble of designing fancy tattoos and abducting her. But since he didn’t, he must not have been the one to order the hit. So who else would want Jane dead?
Shepherd would be a likely candidate, since Jane ruined her grand plan. But Shepherd is in jail and apparently isn’t going to play a major role this season. And it’s not very likely that Nas and Keaton are letting her have visitors or access to her bank account in whatever hole she is occupying. So someone else in Sandstorm? We know that her inner circle is basically dead, except for Jane and Roman. So someone above Shepherd? Where did Sandstorm get their money? We saw Roman withdrawing money from a trust fund with Alice’s name on it, but where did that money come from originally? Was it really Alice’s, or was it from someone else, just being held there for Alice to come and collect, or Ian in the case of her untimely demise?
Or was the hit ordered by someone outside of Sandstorm? We know that Orion had ordered a hit on Remi once before. If Shepherd gave them any information at all, it was likely of the “I am writing all the wrongs of the universe” variety, which would probably include information about Orion/how corrupt the government is. (Honestly, I would expect Shepherd to mysteriously die in custody before she could talk too much.) So whoever was in charge of Orion– remember, there are still a few players we have yet to meet, like the White House Chief of Staff or the Director of the CIA– is still out there and might want Jane silenced before she has a chance to reveal anything that she knows. (And I’m gonna guess that since they were hinting so heavily about it at the end of last season, her memory is coming back, which would increase her liability to the Orion side.) Plus, if it’s the government, they’ve got some pretty deep pockets to hire assassins, ahem, consultants.
All of which is a really long way of saying that in the world of Blindspot, we are all Jon Snow.

i’m not quite sure how many of my active followers watch the show since it’s only somewhat popular / recognised, but i’ll be tagging anything with THIS season ( ie s3 ) as ‘blindspot spoilers’, just in case.
if you’re watching the show for the first time and need me to tag the previous seasons, please, let me know, too. i don’t want to spoil anything... unless you’re okay with it. but if you’re watching the show, you should also lmk what you think of it !
