POPEYE.

Frank Rocky Fiegel, inspiración de Popeye, fue un marinero polaco asentado en Illinois, que andaba enredado en peleas y grescas.

Conocido por su descomunal fuerza, hizo correr a contrincantes mucho más grandes. También es recordado por su buen corazón y cariño hacia los niños. Elzie Crisler Segar (vecino suyo), creó el personaje en 1919 en una tira cómica del periódico New York Journal, inmortalizando a este sujeto. Por su aspecto, se le bautizó Pop-Eye (ojo saltón).

Olivia fue inspirada en una mujer real llamada Dora Paskel, mientras que Blutus, se inspiró en un grandulón que llegó al puerto donde estaba Franz Fiegel, y peleó con él... ganando Popeye ante la incredulidad de todos los espectadores.

Everyone will always remember the good memories back in the old days.
