Caio Apache Vip1 - Capital Antiga linha 0201 - Bonfim / Ribeira x Campo Grande A linha 0201 nasceu como Bonfim X Campo Grande, sempre via Monte Serrat e Boa Viagem, a linha tinha como ponto final a Baixa do Bonfim. Na década de 90, para a reforma do entorno da Igreja do Bonfim, o final de linha foi transferido para o Largo do Papagaio. Com o final da reforma, o final de linha da 0201 retornou à Baixa do Bonfim. Tempos depois a parada final dessa linha foi transferida para a Ribeira. Funcionando em paralelo à linha 0210, as duas linhas tinham o roteiro bem parecido. A diferença era que a 0210 não passava no Monte Serrat. Porto: maioria dos AL’s estão no Centro Histórico e no Bonfim

O vereador com o pelouro da Economia da Câmara do Porto, Ricardo Valente, afirmou na última reunião do executivo que, no final de maio, estavam registados 8.866 unidades de Alojamento Local (AL), sendo que a maioria dos novos alojamentos locais localizam-se nas freguesias do centro histórico e do Bonfim. Adiantou ainda que nessa altura estava também registados 147 empreendimentos turísticos. Depois da apresentação do relatório anual sobre o AL, não só foi alertada a necessidade de se conter o fenómeno do Alojamento Local, principalmente, na zona mais complexa da cidade, ou seja, o centro histórico, como também apelado para que o município volte a suspender o licenciamento de novos alojamentos na zona do centro histórico. Há ruas onde mais de 30% dos imóveis são alojamentos locais, foi dito na referida reunião. Em resposta aos apelos do executivo, Ricardo Valente assegurou que quando o regulamento do alojamento local for revisto, os novos registos ficarão suspensos. Read the full article

Rio police pursue organized crime gang after triple murder

Police in Rio de Janeiro are carrying out a major operation in some of the city’s biggest favelas since the early hours of this Monday. They are trying to arrest 100 men linked to the Red Command organized crime group, which was behind the murder of three doctors last week, and of the four men accused of killing them.  

Roughly 1,000 police officers are participating in the operation, which is also using drones, facial recognition, and license plate cameras. According to the state government, it is the first time a major police operation in Rio has used such high-level technology. 

Officers are also using body cams on their uniforms as a way of preventing the unnecessary use of force or violence against innocent residents. Rio’s police are one of the most violent in the country, being responsible for almost 30 percent of all the state’s violent deaths last year. 

The operation is taking place in the Cidade de Deus favela to the city’s west, and the neighborhoods of Penha and Maré to the north. Residents complain of massive shootings since dawn. Some schools have been closed, affecting more than 20,000 students. Healthcare units also shut down. So far, there are no reports of injured people.

The popular belief says that the person who will use the ribbon should put it around the wrist twice and tie with three knots. One wish is made for each of the nodes. Important: do not go around telling your wishes. It is necessary to keep secret so that wishes are fulfilled. Oh, and hold on to anxiety! The wishes only come true when the ribbon breaks on its own. In other words, there is no point in cutting it or forcibly pulling it out, see?

Despite being a tradition that began in the Catholic Church, like everything else in Bahia and Salvador, the Bonfim ribbon is also a strong symbol of local religious syncretism. The accessory also represents the typical African roots of Bahia and is considered by many to be an amulet. Sold in different colors, each ribbon represents an orixá. Look:

Green (dark or light): Oxóssi Light blue: Yemanjá Yellow: Oxum Dark blue: Ogum Colored or pink: Ibeji (erê) and Oxumaré White: Oxalá Purple: Nanã Black with red letters: Exú and Pombagira Black with white letters: Omulu and Obaluaê Red: Iansã Red with white letters: Xangô Green with white letters: Ossain
