After the Rain

Lately there are few dramas that have excited me and I decided to explore KBS drama specials. And I must say that they have surprised me positively. This drama "After the Rain" manages to hit the nail in the story, with just 2 hours it's complete and emotional and leave us satisfied 'til the end.

Kim Kang Woo as Bonggil. I love Kim Kang Woo. He is a very attractive man and it is always a pleasure to see him perform. I thought Bonggil is a character we can relate to and empathize with. Despite being a rude man, brusque and discouraged with life he has a huge heart and just wants to be happy.

Lee Seol as Youngran. She is not a well-known actress but I thought she was wonderful. The character is sincere, innocent and strong. And she's going to come into both men's lives and change everything.

The father and Bonggil. These two spend time fighting but there is a lot of love behind all the screaming. There is a satisfying amount of familiar feelings in this story.

In the last few minutes of the drama I wasn't sure if there was going to be a happy ending and I was surprised at the way the show changes things in the last few minutes in a way that feels impressive but at the same time satisfying and natural. So great!
