The endless contradictions of empathy in this game is so so good. I want Brawn to be okay, to have people that he can trust have his best interests at heart and aren't using him, I want him to have a little space amidst the missions and battles to be able to figure out his sexuality on his own terms like he might've been able to before he died. And yet I'm also aware that he's hungry, and that he likes it when his meal is afraid of him, he likes to be a predator. He’s so young in this world and arguably the most innocent in this group, but mechanically speaking he has the lowest humanity of the four. Every character has a monster within them in this game, just in slightly different forms. 

I love that the uncertainty and turmoil he feels about his life and his sexuality is a tie to his humanity, a deeply human problem of desire and shame, and in turn the false bravado and confidence that he wears like a suit is indicative of the beast. Perhaps when he was alive that swagger and rage was just a mask, but now in death it clings to him, the violence he can cause is real and thus so is his power. He can use that strength to his advantage to get out under the thumb of the many people who want to use him, but if he leaves behind that torment and turmoil entirely it could lead to a downward spiral towards the Beast

Y'all I want Brawn to be an anarch so bad. He deserves it.

The one thing I can't get over about this finale is he 100% would have helped Kiếm had he been able to. Despite everything, he still likes all of these people (tho probably not Khalida anymore)

cuz he has no idea what any of them ever thought of him. This whole season the coterie has been defending him and helping with his self-esteem, but they don't actually seem to think that highly of him behind closed doors? Meanwhile Brawn thinks he's found his people.

But when he's in the world of the anarchs? That's where he actually belongs. He wants to stay, but he has to convince himself that these are the bad guys. Because joining them would mean leaving the safety of the Cam and the people who made him believe they care about him.

The constant "let me go," and "don't make me hurt you" during the fight just broke my heart. He wants to help his friends. He thinks if everyone just calms down he'll get them back again. But they've been using him from day one, and they're just going to keep using him.

Brawn is the blunt instrument. He's the comic relief. Yeah, they'll cheer him up when he's down, but is that really them wanting what's best for him? Wanting him to be happy?

My hope is that if and when he meets the anarch coterie, something will click. He will understand that the Cam will never have his best interest at heart. They will never love him.

Brawn fucking deserves to be happy.

@Xanderrific did such an incredibly beautiful job with this character. Seriously, hats off. I can't wait for more.

I wonder, if Rey and Brawn had been in each other’s spots (since Rey always wanted entry to the tower, and Brawn has been slightly warming to the Anarchs), what would the dynamics between Rey and Khalida, and Brawn and Fuego look like? Brawn seems more willing to slot himself into a hierarchy and let someone else guide his actions, and I feel like Fuego might have found it easier to convince him to do her bidding, possibly pulling them both down the humanity spiral much faster. I think Rey and Khalida would get along rather well actually, both are very business-minded and goal-oriented, and Khalida is young enough that she doesn’t hold the Ivory Tower’s prejudices against the certain clans, as evidenced by her coming to Brawn’s aid when he’s disrespected.

Camarilla Coterie Question

So I’m trying to remember some info about the Camarilla Coterie. Can someone tell me what Brawn, Khalida, Coco and Keim predator types are? The only thing i remember is Khalida’a feeding restriction is  she can only feed on people of a certain net worth but I can’t remember if it was stated or explicitly shown what their predator types are. I only remember them feeding in Simons club which doesn’t help me figure it out. Or they just that hasn’t been established yet in the episodes.
