okay let me tell you about this years bridal season 🩷 everybody knows new york fashion week just finished up so the trends for 2024 are fairly recent but i think we have a pretty good idea of what we’re heading for… a lot of them are SO good!!!!

for silhouette, we saw a lot of tulle and statement pieces—the drama and flair persist! but a lot of them have that classic, fairy tale inspired, skirt to them and i LOVE that. i love that. recently a ton of dresses have been mermaid dresses or fit and flair ones which i DO NOT care for, so i am SO so ready for the return of the ball gown…

short veils are coming in!!! i like them a lot to be honest, especially with shorter dresses (also in) or separates (i’ll get to in a moment), some of them also feature the flower embroidery or appliqué that has been popping up around which i like a lot!! i like florals when they are understated and nice…

SEPARATES… suits. oh my god suits…. this is a lesbian moment and not a fashion snob moment but we NEED MORE WOMEN IN SUITS… bridal suits this season have been so good i’m genuinely obsessed… separates that aren’t suits have also been coming into the public eye and i LIKE separates i think they work. but a lot of them work better as like reception outfits than bridal dresses, but that’s like. a matter of opinion and i really do like most of them…

there’s also been more color, blue has been really popular this season which i LOVE! something borrowed something blue and such… it’s also just cute !! white and blue look really good together!!! anyways. that’s the rundown.

Wiederhoeft Spring 2024 was easily one of the most exciting shows of New York Fashion Week. As lovers of the brand knows, Wiederhoeft specializes in kitschy fashion, with huge emphasis on dramatic bridal fashion. The show included pieces with their iconic appliques and beadwork, such as the oversized beaded bow on white gown, or my personal favorite, the intricately beaded white skirt with matching gloves.

The brand is also adding a wholesale fashion line, which means that we also got to see more simple designs such as this silk gown and tailored suits with strong lines.

The line also included some simple shirts, one of which was the "security tank," which has already become the most wanted piece from the collection.

My favorite look from the show is definitely this graffiti-looking jacket and pant set, paired with the crystal underbust corset top.

The blend of commercial pieces with Wiederhoeft's usual quirky pieces is the brand's way of showing that they have a look for everyone.

Notable guest at the show was Julia Fox, dressed in a classic Wiederhoeft micro-mini corset bridal dress, styled with an extremely dramatic veil (which I absolutely love) and a mini purse embroidered with "till death do us part." I definitely love how daring the veil is, especially paired with extreme platforms!
