With Amber and Oksana being gods now, I thought that maybe in the future they’d take on a more godly form than just being huge, and my personal philosophy is that the best gods are anything but human in design and are best when they’re flat-out kaiju.

The designs for the two are based on my theory that Amber and Oksana are themed after the mass extinctions at the end of the Cretaceous and Permian periods respectively, which I reflected in their designs; Amber resembles a four-armed Microraptor with a head and hands like asteroids, with the rest being the fiery tail of asteroids, being yellow but mixed with Amber’s green. Kodiera, on the other hand, is a volcanic, more lizardy creature with obsidian armor as well as a head modeled after Dimetrodon, but with the fangs of a gorgonopsid and a crest invoking the shape of a volcano and a droop of lava at the front invoking the eye of Koda

(I also based Amber heavily on Ultra Necrozma because “Light That Burns the Sky” and gave Kodiera elements from Groudon for the volcanism angle)

Bubbanana! (I just love this as a ship name fhslfjalfjalfjsk)

I love the concept of the ship, and I think they might have been together at one point while they were on the beach, but there isn't that much interaction between the two of them in canon that I don't really have a good sense of whether it would work and I would want to see it happen in canon just yet :/ Like, I recently relistened to the episode where they came back from the auction, and Kodira confronted Amber in the Cloaca, and I know it was in a joking manner and so did Amber, but Kodira did lord power over her with the whole cheese danish and just in general, and Amber didn't like it, and I think she didn't like the fact that Kodira became, not just a cop, but the head of the military. Now that she's not that anymore, I think there's hope for them, but the idea of them actually getting together romantically feels like a so far in the future thing that there's no way to see if it would be a thing that would work in canon if that makes any sense. In fanon though, people can go out as far as they want in the timeline and make it work however they want, and I think seeing their dynamic in that context is great lol

But they absolutely became at least friends with benefits lol

They are my fave ship of all time <3

Lup is trans! Barry is middle aged and still found love! And they love each other so much that their love is what sustains them! Barry didn't give up looking for her for 12 years! They are so good to each other! And I think what makes their love story work so well in canon even though we see very little of it is because Balance in general is very much about love and connection and the bonds people make with each other, and that theme is a very strong theme that's reinforced in everything, especially in the Stolen Century arc. So, working with that strong foundation, all Griffin really had to do was add a few details here and there, a couple of big dramatic descriptive monologues about the both of them and their love for each other, one or two more scenes, and voila! Best love story ever!

(Idk if that's how you spell voila, I know there's supposed to be an accent mark somewhere, but whatever lol)

Also, of course, headcanoning Barry as straight, so I can live vicariously through Lup about someone who is only attracted to a single gender, especially being straight, fell in love with her and sees her as she truly is and doesn't get hung up on the fact that she's trans :')
