Now I'm a patricide supporter but Trina is making several points. If Spencer really wanted to commit patricide, he would make that confession a big ass spectacle and blow up Nik's reputation before any custody trial started.

Instead he's still trying to do those plans where he just sort of hopes the person reacts the way he wants them to. He wants his father to throw up his hands at the first sign of blackmail and just back down. It's like he wants to declare war on his father and avoid it at the same time. That half-measures sentiment is the same one Nik had with Esme when he decided to trap her in a room instead of calling the cops and it obviously ended badly.

Sometimes I wonder how Chrissy, Mary, Veronica and Jo got on. I mean, in the early days, they must have hung out a fair bit due to just literally being in the same space. Did they like each other at all? Or was it like “ugh, I’ve got to talk to *her* again at the gig, what a drag”? lol

Actually, what makes this more interesting is that Jo And Chrissie were friends! Even before Roger started going out with Jo. So they were probably tight, and then Mary comes into the picture. Hmm, from all I know about her, she probably didn’t have a terribly easy time being social with two girls who were already *besties*. And Veronica? I feel like Veronica was probably not bad at socialising. And I’m not saying that Mary was bad at socialising, I just think Mary probably had a harder time endearing herself to people. She always seems like the kind of person to me who comes off cold while actually being very sensitive inside, someone people find it hard to connect with. Somehow I envision her getting on with Veronica though? Perhaps simply due to the whole “two best friends and two new girls” dynamic.

anyway I really liked the Barbie movie but I’m torn between like,,, I like the parallels of Barbie being the general, stereotypical, just some girl Barbie and Gloria seeming to be a regular, average woman herself. but at the same time I kinda wish we learned more about her! I get them both standing in as every-women without insanely impressive accomplishments, who are still worthy of love and acceptance and joy. but all we genuinely know about Gloria is she has a job. she has a sweet enough seeming husband. she has a daughter she’s struggling to connect with. and she’s experienced sexism. which truly is this very “general, average woman” experience, but I wish we knew a bit more like,, does she like her job? did she used to have different ambitions? does she have hobbies? desires? what brings her joy? is she gonna be okay????
