Btw a hugely important aspect of shubbles story was the emphasis that domestic violence and abuse doesn't have a clear cut picture. Abuse can look like many things. Violence is not just hitting. Safe words are not meant to be a means of abusing someone and then a punishment when they utilize it. Violence looks like many things and all are abuse.

I also think it's important to emphasize her points when she said she thought it couldn't happen to her again after previous situations. I've felt similarly that i know better that i could never be abused again. But it's not easy. Don't ever blame yourself. Abusers are going to abuse people and it is not your fault it happens again. It's not your fault that it happens again! Abusers infiltrate every aspect of your life they hijack your support network (or cut you off from it), they make you brush off what they're doing even when other people witness it. Abusers above all else want to abuse you and they'll do anything to keep doing that. It's not your fault. You are not expected to come out of abuse a master observer and master shield of yourself.

This is what resonated with me as a victim and I thank shubble for speaking up about her experiences to warn others.

how do you feel about darker themes in the game?

finally deciding to follow that anon’s advice and make a poll about it.

Right now, ST4RDOM is a 17+ interactive fiction game with themes like mild alcohol, violence, language, (potential) sexual content, homophobia, sexism, and other disturbing themes.

However, there are other things I want to go into. That would probably include something like racism (ex. whitewashing), and especially mentions of sexual assault/abuse.

To all the people defending wilbur who I know for a fact were likely some of the same people who supported victims of other ccs (the fanbase and cc aren't important here) you 100% told on yourself. Congratulations your support of victims is conditional when it's a cc you like! You are harming victims by doing this. You never cared. Like you don't even pause about the art you make of him, you just go back to regularly scheduled programming it's disgusting. And you're hypocrites.

Being for victims means always. It means every time. It means even when the abuser is someone you like (cc, friend, etc). It means supporting victims and denouncing abusers ones that fucking shubble said will hurt again will harm again because he's dangerous. You directly contribute to the platform and power this abuser has with your support. Do better. Or at the very least be honest to thr world you don't care about victims the pretending for me is worse because it tells me your support of other victims of ccs were more to do with your fandom/stan politics than it was about the victim at hand as you come forward to say "wilbur is innocent!" + victim blaming BS.
