Canela, you looked like you were about to have a panic attack when walking to the book store. Did someone happen that scared you or are you scared of someone? Are you in danger?

"I must have been deep in thought thinking about what books I wanted to read when I got here. I mean there's so MANY here to choose from. I guess I looked overwhelmed to other people. I should probably be more careful how I carry myself outdoors, don't want anyone else WORRYING right? "

The braixen inhales deeply once she is finished, having almost forgotten to breath while giving her explanation. She closes her eyes, and tries to steady her breath as she composes herself once more. She quickly recovers and reopens her eyes, where she then reaches over to collect her books on the table.

She rises out of her seat to begin leaving, but is quickly surprised by a sudden new face. The sensation of a freshly opened heated oven envelops the area instantly once the Meowscarada yells,

Canela felt relief for a second, before her mind caught up with her again. Reality set in, she knew what might await her when she would open her eyes again. She had felt it, after all. But maybe it didn't happen this time, maybe I was just so surprised my face got hot from embarrassment, she thought. Yea, that must be it, I don't have anything to worry about.

The braixen opens one eye cautiously, then quickly opens the other as she looks at the meowscarada. A flustered but pain look spreads across her face as she assesses whats before her.

She glances around the room before addressing the pokemon in a hushed voice, "Uhm....Hello. You wouldn't have, say..looked different when you entered the store, right? Please say no.."

Canela continues to laugh nervously, trying to laugh off the moment as her own thoughts race in her head. What do I do, what do I do now! A sharp, pulsing pain quickly enters her head, causing her to groan and hold her head. She tries to shake it off only to be met with a dark, foreboding voice that whispers into her mind.

Canela’ shallow breathing transitions into slower breaths, as she concentrates to drown out the voice that torments her mind. Her spatula fizzes and sparkles, changing in hues as she chants a familiar song repeatedly to herself. One. Chill. Two. Chill. Three. Chill. Four. Open your eyes and worry no more. 

After a couple minutes, she brings the spatula close to her mouth, giving it a gentle peck as a glimmer of light starts to glow faintly. Canela raises it high and takes a long, deep breath. The tip of the utensil glows brighter, lighting up the area like a lamp piercing through its dark corners.

From her mouth, a thin light follows the breath as she exhales. As it floats out, the breath glows as if strings of light trail out and around the spatula. As soon as the strip reaches the orb, it expands and swells. Soon after, the light flares out from the spatula, and wisps of light and magic swirl around Canela and Charade.

The braixen mumbles a command and the light fades from around the girls, and disappears from Canela's tool. She straightens up from her bow slowly, and stretches her arms over her head while a big smile spread on her face. She then continues to stuff her spatula back into her tail, before planting her paws on her hips and saying quite loudly,

"Damn, that felt GOOD!!!"

Paige squints his eyes further and pulls his head back to it's original spot. "Oh okay! Maybe I should ask the other customers in the store if they've seen anyone here doing something strange, just in case."

Canela squints back at him and says behind clenched teeth, "You're such a chismoso."

Hey paige, im guessing canela is a frequent visitor to your store? What do you think of her? Do you recall the first time she ever visited?

"N-not to say reading is bad, but she didn't really do that before she left. She's not the type to sit inside, but I guess spending two years studying something does that to someone."

Paige puts the photo away and sighs.

"I'm not sure what's been on her mind lately, she's been pretty distant the past couple weeks. Maybe she's taking the bakery job seriously now, which is good, I guess! I just wish she would open up about it, I just know something is bothering her, but I'm hoping she'll talk about it eventually."

[The white espeon smiles] Hey, I hope you do not mind having an old hag like me around.

Do you come here often? The owner of this place seems to know you really well. If you do not mind as well, what kind of books do you like to read?

"His family was actually one of the first 'mons to welcome my parents when they first came to this town, and helped them get situated with the bakery. Funnily enough, Me and him didn't actually get along at first, but…with a little help we eventually became really tight."

Canela looks wistfully at the paper puppets which now swirl and sway above her pile of books. Her eyes glimmer briefly and the aura around her finger grows brighter as she continues playing with them; she stops suddenly and shakes her head, taking the two puppets in her paws and seemingly crushes them. When she opens them again her paws are empty, the pieces of paper being no where in sight.

She becomes aware again that she has company, and glances back at the older pokemon swiftly before straightening her back. She then reaches over to her books and presents it to the espeon.
