4-Eyes stared at the Eevee. Much like vulpixe's, Eevee's are often associated with being youthful (mostly due to being unevolved), although this Eevee does seem to emanate being older.. Perhaps that's where the reading comes in?

"I honestly can't imagine someone to actually enjoy reading, is it a cover to seem more mature then you actually look?" The vulpix inquired.

Not only I'm a teacher, but also a researcher. With the help of Wil, I'm trying to summarize Pokémon's habits. Sometimes, others helping me write research too.

Mostly writing stories about Legendary, Mythical, or other unseen, like Paradox. They are last seen on Paldea long time ago in Area Zero. But right now, the area is strictly prohibited for everyone, even teachers and researches.

It seems he was a bit distracted for his talk about research.

Oh, evolution doesn't mean aging. Eevee could be an old bean like me, haha. I can see elders who did not evolve. Even I saw evolved kids around age 3-5. If you want to know why I haven't evolved yet, I'll tell you.

Something about this Gothitelle gives Mirio the idea that her own tears don't often grace her face. Shortie's probably cuter when her face isn't so raw from sobbing.

"Sick friend, huh?" He spoke quietly.

"You really don't look the type to grieve the living now, Gothie.. Or the type to stay put waiting for something to happen. You gonna get a surprise for your friend for when they wake up?"

Gwen did not even address the accusation from the zo looking mon. She was used to being able to pull a zorua-zoroark from an attempt to hide, especially one as blatant as this.

Still, she was not in the mood to snap back.

“Yeah. Been sick with exhaustion and immune system problems for a long time. He kept it secret for years and even my boss did not know how bad it was. I just worry I had said something to discourage him from telling us.”

This mon was way off the mark for not mourning as of late. If it was a year ago, the psychic would have been confident with that. Prideful even.

“This year has had me cry more since I was a kid. I had to lay my mentor to rest and everything happening to Grohl here,” Gwen peered over to Grohl, steadily breathing and vines looking better, though some were still clearly flaking. “I’d hate to admit it, but my tough girl card is gone. Not that it matters.”

Gwen could not care less about what anyone said on her toughness. Maybe this was not the worst thing though. Helps her open up to others more, though of course she would control how much she disclosed to strangers.

“Though as for a surprise. I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m a bad gifter. I don’t even know if he wants something.”

This… certainly was a tall Thievul, Mirio thought. Mirio himself was a foot taller then the average zoroa-.. Human. Maybe this is just the normal size of Theivuls where ever they're from? If the vibes weren't off about this fox, Mirio would have asked to take his picture.

Hm, I see.

I wouldn’t call prayers a balanced part of any yokais’ breakfast, but they’ll suffice in a pinch. They’re more like snacks if you’re feeling peckish, like a dream.

The essence of a prayer comes from the soul, which holds a lot more value than the prayer itself. It’s this essence that can give a god a boost in their own power, especially a god like Inari. When you have hundreds and thousands of people and Pokémon praying to you every day, you’d be sitting pretty golden up there in the clouds too, wouldn’t you?

As for taste, it all depends on the state of the soul when the prayer is given. A prayer offered in sadness tends to be bitter, while one offered in happiness can be sweet. An angry prayer cursing another tends to be spicy, but I’m sure you get the idea by now.

By the way, you may as well take that picture for your Instaglam, I guarantee you won’t find another fox like me around here. But a word of advice: If you’re going to disguise yourself as a human, I wouldn’t go making friends with dogs a regular habit, personally. You’ll live longer.

“hm~ yuta hasn’t figured it out, but i know you’re hiding something,” bai comments casually. “you’d be the second one we’ve met. but i’ll keep your secret.”
