#Listen to my problems #just remembered that yancy has night terrors well into adulthood and he lives alone in a big house because his parents didnt want to move to #central city with him. and he doesnt sleep until he has to he stays awake in his kitchen drinking beer and crying sometimes just because #and when veronica moved in she would sleep on the sofa and take care of him at night ... (veronica has nightmares sometimes too...) #she had a major freakout about her missing eye and shes still steeped in paranoia that theyre gonna find her (unspecified they) #she doesnt like touching people much but she hugs him and only him and lets him give her silly nicknames .. x #and sol .. then sol came home with yancy ... and sol came into yancys room (yancy likes him a lot ...) and they would hold each other at #night simply because theyre both warm bodies #yancy doesnt know that hes just a machine .. sol was so much more to him. before he was gears and wires he was yancys friend ... #yancy is Callous about the wires. he forgets sometimes he loves machines but more than that he loves sol ... you see .... he is a cool #machine but theyre best friends they like each other .. #hes yancys bodyguard he takes care of him throughout the day and throughout the night #person by person yancys big house starts to fill up .. #just realised something funny. sol and grace are from the same hitman agency. sol choked yancy out and tried to break his neck before he #hired him and grace was invited to come over by sol and as soon as she stepped into the house she was chased around with a knife by veronica #like both of them tried to kill their special one thats really funny #i say special one because sol is yancys special one but grace and vero are literally just girlfriends who have sex

This was never supposed to be this long??? But what if Andrew & Aaron found out they have a sister?

- Andrew and Aaron have a sister

- They find out after Aaron does one of those 23&me tests about two years after they graduate from PSU, he’s curious about possible medical history things in their family & maybe Andrew is a little curious too

- Along with the medical history, they see their mothers greek heritage & then they see Portuguese & Scottish makes up the rest & accept that fact

- Neil & Andrew decide to learn Portuguese together next (which kinda doesn’t always work in their favor considering Nickys fluency in Spanish allows him to understand quite a lot)

- But they see these things & move on, there’s not much to do with the information ultimately

- Until three years after this, Aaron whips open Andrew&Neils apartment door in NYC (Aaron is doing residency w Cornell Med & Neil & Andrew are playing on the same NYC team)

- “We have a sister” he says into the dead silent apartment

- Andrew gets up & they leave for some time & Neil kind of just sits & waits

- When Andrew gets home he just slides his phone into Neils hand, a picture on the screen

- A girl, in her young twenties if that, is smiling on the screen & Neil knows it is this mysterious sister

- “Her name is Lilah. She contacted Aaron through that DNA shit. We’re going to meet her on Tuesday, she goes to school in the city”

- Neil stares at her tanned skin & dark hair & hazel eyes that mirror the man sitting to him & the small dimple that creases her right cheek just like the twins & sees them in her

- When Tuesday comes, Andrew tries to be pretend to be fine, but Neil sees through it if only by the small quirks that come from knowing someone so well

- Neil, Andrew, & Aaron meet her in a random small cafe near NYU, Neil there for Andrew (& maybe a little bit for Aaron though neither will admit that)

- She’s already sitting & through the window she looks so small that Neil almost laughs

- When they walk in she stays in her seat & smiles up at them & it doesn’t seem to get past anyone that she doesn’t stand up to hug or touch like most people in the situation would

- They sit & talk for awhile, asking about each other’s lives

- She was five years younger than them, had grown up in NY, & was graduating from one of the SUNY colleges that semester & wanted to become a history teacher (neil could practically feel andrew & aaron eyes roll as they no doubt thought about Kevin & how well these two would get along)

- Lilah had been in foster care herself. She had met their father once when she was 11 & last she heard he was dead & his family didn’t have much interest in her. Her mother had died when she was 8, drugs

- “Daddy-o had a type, huh?” She mused & something about it was so AndrewAaron it was almost unsettling

- Andrew asks a lot about the foster care. She seems to understand what he’s trying to find out

- “I’m okay. I managed to get a good one where i lived from 14-18. I’ve always been safe. I’m okay” Lilah stared at him like she somehow already knew all of Andrew & Aaron’s secrets & when her eyes slid to Neils it was almost like she could have figured his out too

- They leave when the sun has been down & the cafe is closing

- Lilah becomes a fixture in their lives

- Nicky just about dies when she meets her & she hugs him right away & she smiles a kilowatt smile & her dimple is on display & Neil doesnt miss Andrews quick look away or Aaron’s soft smile

- Nicky & Lilah become like brother & sister & it’s a blessing that Nicky finally has someone who just wants to be in his presence the same way he loves being with others

- Kevin & Lilah have some sort of weird stare down & then Lilah cracks a smile & looks at Andrew & tells him she understands why Andrew watched him for so long

- They argue about history each time they see each other & end up drunk & yelling & passionate & they’re really best friends & no one is surprised when they hang out just amongst themselves

- She eyes Renee suspiciously & whispers to Neil that she bothers her & she can’t figure out why. Neil gives her a small smile & tells her she’ll get used to it

- Lilah is soft & kind & though it’s not hard to tell life has not been soft or kind to her, it’s inspiring to see how she is the way she is

- Sometimes she leaves for a long time with Andrew & Aaron & they come back, Aaron & Lilah puffy eyed & they all start drinking & Lilah sleeps on their couch & is always awake before all of them

- Sometimes Andrew & Lilah sit on the couch together for hours, just staring at a tv, not saying anything & Andrew is always less tense in the days after

- Neil notices she always asks to touch & he thinks that no one ever told her to ask she just knew

- & surprisingly the twins (& everyone) tend to relent to her on anything. She asks to hold their hands or gives hugs or to get ice cream (even when Kevin is around he’ll agree)

- She just makes sense, she fits perfect in their world & she becomes a part of it almost seamlessly

- Aaron will proudly tell anyone of his sister doing gods work as a high school teacher for underprivileged kids

- Nicky will pout when she can’t hang out every moment he’s in the states

- Andrew will quietly love her as fiercely as he does his whole family without ever saying the words

- The whole original Foxes accept her & love her

- Neil finds even himself curious about her when she’s not around for a week or so & will even seek her out himself for a run around Central Park

- Lilah is the piece they didn’t know was missing & they’ll never let her go
