Hear me out though: Alastor goes missing for days he doesn't show up when the hotels being built, they know he's still alive because of Niffty and Husk's deal right, but at some point Rosie starts worrying for Alastor because they all saw what happened with Adam and Rosie goes to Charlie for help and like Charlie noticed he was gone. Picture Lucifier saying "Wheres that Radiohead friend of yours.", but charlie agrees to help and it turns out that Niffty has known where he was the whole time and takes the whole crew with them

AND ALASTOR IS A WRECK

Mans looks like hes been pacing for days on end he's bleeding out from a gaping wound on his chest from an angelic weapon THERES BLOOD EVERYWHERE the radio tower is so much more destroyed because of him destroying it and Husk is all like

"Woah, Boss." and he like walks in his path trying to stop and calm him down, but Alastor just keeps pacing and ignoring him well Niffty runs around cleaning and talking about what a mess hes made.

I want Alastor refusing to look at or speak to anyone and Charlie on her knees begging him to stop and let them talk to him as he just goes demon and destroyed the radio tower worse and worse. Vaggie thinks hes really lost it and Angel dust is kind of covertly worried.

Eventually Rosie steps in and shes the only one that can pull him out of it by literally grabbing him which scares everywhere because like no one touched Alastor. Like he pits a hand on people's shoulder, hugs Niffty, but no one really touches him first. Rosie just kind of grabs him and sits him down and they all try and help but he's sort of just shut down and no one can figure out why. Also he's still smiling the whole time, but it doesnt look real.

A break in his facade.

Eventually they just take him back to the hotel and fix him up and Alastor just pretends everything goes back to normal, but from then on their kind of a little closer, even if Alastor is drawn away more than usual.

Because they know his smile can be fake. They know he isn't just a ruthless bloody killer their for entertainment. They've seen his development.

And as much as Alastor hates to admit it, They know him better than he thinks.

- “I’m here to listen.” he reassures. as the initial tears and your breathing start to slow, he’ll start to listen to the situation, and throughout it expect him to be nodding all the way. he just wants to make sure you know he’s listening. - and really, he is. if you need help trying to fix a problem? this guys there, if you just need to talk for a little bit, he’s always up to listen. he just wants to see you happy. - that being said, he’s happy the two of you could talk at this level. there’s something of a bond that comes from it.

- expect him to start checking up on you more, especially just asking if you need to rant to anyone. coworker problems? parking ticket? ranting family member? he’s practically heard it all.

- he’d ask you to go watch movies after this, I don’t make the rules. he might even take the day off for it.

Andre

- he might immediately worry he did something wrong, but when he figures out this is an entirely different problem, he’s doing everything he can to help you calm down (he’s definitely had his own panic attacks before though, so he already has a few ideas in mind)

- he reaches for a hug, wrapping his arms around you with a soft sigh. “I’ve got you. I promise.” He hums out, letting you sob into his shoulder.

- he’s generally the most down to earth out of the group when it comes to mental health stuff. he has nowhere to judge. so by all means, if his partners having trouble with it? he’s all ears. sometimes having someone to just listen to you can go a long way. he really cares about you, and he knows you’d do it for him.

Past:

Mil was one of the few mudokens kept in vykkers labs when she was younger specifically because she was a fertile queen, and she also had this mysterious vestigial wings on her back which was rare and the Vykkers wanted to study it.

When she was of adult age, she was put into a bidding, and sold off from vykkers lab to a glukkon with a sizable factory, as an investment piece. The glukkon, with the idea with keeping her to sell her off for a higher price later, kept her in a small cell where she would be guarded every hour, only let out to serve him or for basic needs like bathroom and food. She was not aloud to speak to other mudokons, since the boss didn't want any interloping between slaves. Due to being fed very little Mil was severly skinny and unhealthy.

She was kept as a maid/servant to the glukkon and was beaten badly on a daily basis, deprived of basic needs, and sometimes starved if she messed up. On occasions shed be forced to commit sexual acts on her glukkon boss to avoid punishment.

Mil was saved by a Big Brother Slig, named Klunk, who originally was tasked with gaurding her, but had pitied her. And after a few months of gaurding her, he had broken her out of the factory, killing the glukkon boss in the process.

Present:

Now free, Mil lives in the mudokon village where she regularly bakes sweets for Alf's Tea and rehabilitation. She is now much happier and healthier than she was before and is working on moving on from her dark past.

Positive traits: she's kind and sweet and always wants to find a way to help people around her. She is Gentle and will make sure to be as understanding as possible to anyone who comes her.

Negative traits: she's very shy and nervous, always afraid of making mistakes. She Will cry or get scared easily because of her trauma.

Quirks: she's very touchy, relies on touching people to make sure she feels safe and secure. She will also stim with her hands alot, biting her thumb, twiddling her fingers, hugging herself, and flapping her hands.

She loves sweets and all foods. Admittedly, she has a big sweettooth after her escape.

Extra:

- tends to be quiet in large groups

- despite being touchy herself, she cannot handle sudden grabs without warning and will panic

- uncomfortable around any glukkon, and if in the city will avoid contact with any if possible.

- loves slogs, wants to have one herself one day

- despite being a queen mudokon, doesnt have any plans to lay eggs in the future.

the line of succession to the throne would be: rhaenyra, jacaerys, lucerys, joffrey, aegon and viserys (idk whos the eldest), aegon, helaena, aemond and finally daeron

he knows he wont be king unless some catastrophe happens and kills his whole family but still a little bit jealous

aemond takes advantage of being the 9th in the line of succession, since he has very "few" spotlight on him, so he can live a normal life like all of us mere mortals

uses his prince title when needs something (that includes the girls 🤭)

am i the only one that doesn’t have hope anymore? like at all? i don’t trust the duffers anymore and i feel like us(the bylers) created all this byler thing in our heads and we just looked too much into the details in the show :(

i dont blame you for not having hope bc volume 2 for byler definitely was a disappointment and i understand not wanting to look between the lines of the monologue and get hopes up only to be disappointed again but DO NOT think we just made all this up!! if byler doesnt happen i genuinely think that it was their plan originally and then they trashed it.

its not like theres two or three potential hints towards it. there are dozens and dozens of clues and subtext from the dialogue and actions of the characters but also the cinematography, the lighting, the score and tracks they use, the parallels to other couples on the show, the placement of their characters, and probably so much more we havent even noticed yet. we did not make anything up.

after volume 2 i wasnt that sad or mad because more than anything i was just VERY confused. because none of mike wheelers actions make sense unless hes deeply struggling with internalized homophobia. there will be genuine plotholes in the whole show if they stick with mlvn til the end.

lets look at mikes actions alone. can you answer ANY of these questions with an answer thats NOT related to his sexuality?

why did mike not let el touch her when they were kissing at the beginning of s3?

why did he say “its not my fault you dont like girls” if thats not projecting?

why did he say he loves her out loud to everyone else but then pretend he didnt know what she was talking about when she brought it up again?

why did he look so confused when el kissed him and said she loves him and why did he keep his eyes open and didnt kiss her back at all?

why didnt mike have any indication of even having a gf in his room besides the letter we saw him read, while el had a whole shrine and a “book of letters” from him? why did, instead, mike have wills drawings up all over the basement and has a while binder for them that we saw in s1. book of drawings.

WHY on earth wouldnt mike hug his best friend who he hasnt seen in months at the airport? its not because he knows wills feelings, the duffers and finn and the script itself have confirmed hes oblivious to his sexuality and feelings for him.

why did mike look so nervous to ask will about the painting? if it was just because their friendship was kinda dying i think he would have said it as if he was bored or didnt care but instead he looked like he cared a little too much and was trying to hide it. this is right after reading el’s letter that said that will might be painting for a girl.

why did mike barely even look at el as they were walking out of the airport and why did he wear something very different for mike as if he’s portraying someone he’s not?

why would mike emphasize so much “WE’RE FRIENDS!!! we’re friends!” will didnt mean it in a romantic context but mike took it that way.

why was mike kinda an asshole to el and didnt comfort her after the bullies at the rink? “she didnt look fine?” what the hell.

WHY COULDNT MIKE SAY OR WRITE THAT HE LOVES EL!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT SCENE IF HE ACTUALLY GENUINELY DOES LOVE HER??? why didnt he say it right then if he did?

why was that “i feel like i lost you” scene so god damn flirty? he’s never looked at el the way he looked at him here.

why did he nod when will told him that its scary to open up to people especially if they dont like the truth? why did finn say that this “psyches him out”?

why did mike say “its not fate, its not destiny, its just simple dumb luck” about first meeting el and then claim to her that the moment he say her in the woods was love at first sight? we know that this is a blatant lie and will should know this too.

why did mike look at will like THAT during the painting scene!!!??? (i will admit tho this could be finn wolfhard just wanting his character to be gay so he plays him gay but they could have used shots of him not looking at his lips but they kept them in.)

WHY DID WILL HAVE TO PUSH MIKE TO CONTINUE TALKING TO EL!!!!!???? HE WASNT GONNA SAY HE LOVES HER BUT WILL PUSHED HIM INTO IT!!!!!!!!

and thats just his actions alone!!! now lets look into the more technical film choices theyve made when it comes to mike wheeler. again, can you answer any of these questions with an answer thats not related to him having internalized homophobia?

why did they make it clear that max and lucas at day of the dead were having a date (“im spending romantic time with my girlfriend”) and then choose to place mike and will together but not with them, as if mike and will were on a date too.

why did they film mike and el’s break up in s3 so playfully and humorous with bright lighting, lots of colors, an audience, max and el laughing, and fun music after vs mike and will’s fight which was very dark and blue, pouring rain, harsh shadows, and played an emotional original score track?

WHY the eye witness parallel?

why would they frame mike in a closet in s3 during that awkward unreciprocated kiss? this is the biggest thing by far for me that makes me think he’s gay for sure.

why did they frame mike reading el’s letter so that theres a literal fucking one way sign pointing to an open closet?

why did bouncy upbeat music play when he and el reunited at the airport? they could have made it emotional but they made it light and playful as if its more friendly than romantic.

WHY DID THEY PLAY A TRACK CALLED “IN THE CLOSET” WHEN MIKE STARTS SPEAKING!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT WILL!!! this is also right after he said “we’re firends we’re friends!!” no its not just because el is in a literal closet here, the track starts during mike and wills fight.

why did they play a track that is EXTREMELY similar to the track eulogy during mike and el’s fight, a track thats only played when someone dies.

(emotional, tender music). why. its only used in romantic contexts. we see it used with byler, lumax, jopper, and once with mlvn when theyre at the pizza place.

why did they frame will out of focus in the middle of mike and el when they reunited!!? at first i thought this was just to emphasize will’s pov but now im thinking it might be more symbolic of will getting in between mike and eleven. he himself isnt doing that at all though, quite the opposite actually- he keeps giving mike relationship advice and hes the reason mike told el he loves her, so it must be in reference to how will is disrupting mike and els relationship because of mikes feelings for him.

why did they keep will in the frame when mike said he loved her? the only other time we had a similar one on one emotional monologue delivery to someone was in s2 when joyce, jonathan, and mike were trying to reach will and mike told him asking him to be friends was the best thing hes ever done. that was shot as if there were no one else in the room it was very centered around just will and mike, whereas this monologue shows will in the same frame as mike as well as will and jonathans reactions to what hes saying.

and lastly, WHY did they frame every couple so dramatically paired off together in the final shot while el was all alone. joyce and hopper, mike and will, and jonanathan and nancy. theyve done this in the past but this was the first time they made it excruciatingly obvious.

damn i wasnt gonna list out every thing i know when i first started answering this but thats what i ended up doing. anyways, again, i understand giving up considering how disappointing volume 2 was, but absolutely no way was it all in our heads. look at all that.

i still have hope just for the sheer fact that not only mike wheeler as a character, but all their film choices surrounding mike wheeler make no fucking sense unless hes gay and DEEP in the closet.

Some notes on the boom!Rouge and Shadow dynamic. Goes for most of my boom!Rouge aus but is probably most relevant to the roommate au(s)

Shadow will not admit Rouge is his friend. She's his "roommate" or "coworker"

Rouge is more perceptive than most people, and Shadow doesnt like how she keeps trying to unlock his "tragic backstory"

Shadow will call other people "pathetic" both to defend her without actually interfering and make that person feel bad but also as a roundabout way to make her smile

Once he actually wants to hang out with Rouge he has to find a excuse. "I thought you didnt like exploring ruins and trekking through the jungle?" "I said i only like to do it on my terms"

Doesnt realize it but starts to get defense of Rouge's reputation/pride and will step in when he overhears incorrect gossip, as well will defend her honor when she's not around.

When he agrees to work with Rouge, he notices she always uses the terms "partners" or "assistance", never things like "work with me" or "work for me" or "we're a team" (which he hates)

He cant hide in the background as much now because Rouge is extroverted and will stop to chat with people and ropes him into the conversation

Rouge sees and speaks about people in a different way than Shadow does, and slowly he starts to see people in a different light (ex. begins to have some more respect for Sonic)

Will compliment Rouge because she's cool and consistently impresses him, however this leads to rumors they are dating and Rouge has to stop him from destroying a building

Rouge doesnt straight up insult him but she will call him out if he offends her or is acting particularly stupid

Rouge will often fall asleep on a chair or the couch and he'll take off her shoes and cover her with a blanket. Thats about as directly nice as he will get. If she's really upset and he doesnt know how to comfort her he sometimes offers her one hug and just kinda stands there with his hands touching her back (he knows touch is her love language so thats his way of directly comforting her)

this kid has a chip on his shoulder and it makes him surprisingly easy to nudge him into doing what Rouge wants

Shadow is a organized guy while she is the "normal" amount of messy. Shadow will pick her stuff up and she gets mad when she cant find things

Rouge naturally calls people pet names. Shadow kept telling her "dont call me that" and she respects that but she just uses a different pet name the next time. He decided pretty quick that he had to pick his battles with her and that wouldnt be one of them

Takes Shadow along on her "expeditions" because he can poof right past the booby traps. He'll complain about it but comes anyways

Finds out a lot of people have beef with Shadow (unsurprisingly) but will only tolerate a small amount of bad mouthing ("im gonna stop you right there. If you dont have anything nice to say about my roommate to me than dont say anything at all")

Absolutely considers Shadow to be her friend but she finds it funny how he wont admit it so she goes along with it. There are plenty of moments where she sees Shadow in more of a "little brother" light and she treats him accordingly

She makes bets with Shadow whenever she can slip one past him because she knows his pride wont let him run away. Karaoke has become her favorite prize

Wont invite people over to her house because 1) theres a lot of expensive and illegally acquired artifacts and 2) Shadow will purposefully make it awkward out of boredom

Shadow is smart but he's also so blind and sometimes it drives her crazy. He'll jump to assumptions and she'll have to talk to him like "yes thats ONE possible way this could go, but what reason does he have to do that? He's never done that before"

Rouge is a fairly touchy person. Shadow doesnt like affection but occasionally he'll be distracted enough she'll be able to squeeze his shoulder in passing or put a hand on his back/arm. Even less occasionally drop a kiss on his head/cheek. If he's in a good mood and they're waking along she can sometimes get away with hooking their arms together. She hugged him once when she was really worked up but without warning him and he just awkwardly patted her back with one hand

hey bestie i just saw you give some good advice to someone else so im wondering if i could get your two cents about this situation?

tw; pedophilia and harassment.

so when i was in elementary school there was this guy who took all the schools photos and did some tech work. he was grossly infatuated with me, to the point it made 5 yo me very uncomfortable. he would always hug me, kiss me, hold my hand, and take pictures of me and only me. in middle school (he retired right after i went to 6th grade) theschool called him in to show a slideshow of all the pictures he took of us. over half of it was just single shots of me walking down the hall or eating lunch, meanwhile every other photo was of a group of students doing some specific event like sliding or on a field trip.

i hadnt seen him in years until i started working at an afterschool program at my old elementary school. turns out he was a volunteer and is teaching the kids photography.

the first day i saw him come in he was disgusting. grabbed my hand and refused to let me let go in front of all my coworkers. immediately after they all silently decided to leave the room and leave me all alone with him. all while he was saying "it's sooooo good to see you, i missed you so much, you look soooo good, is so good to see you, im so happy to see you, you look really great." he said all of that easily 6x each. finally i was forced to hug him and then i ran to the bathroom to hide.

the next week i forgot he was going to be there and ran into him again, qith him putting his hands on my shoulders and arms. btw this guy is like 70.

so every single wednesday since i first started 5 months ago i run to the bathroom and hide. if he comes into the room i run and hide or i pretend to be busy with my job. he often just comes into the room and trains his camera on me and only me. it makes me feel revolting because there is literally no escape. even if he isnt touching me then he's taking photos and videos of me that he probably uses when he gets home.

i cant bring it up to my coworkers or boss because my coworkers all adore him and my boss is a male apologist and a boymom. she doesnt think males can do any wrong and jumps through hoop after hoop to excuse actual sexual harassment from multiple of our students. im already trying to find a different job but the job market here is absolute shit. i dont know what to do.

i would honestly give similar advice to the other woman and the delivery driver. avoid, keep people in the room, write incidents down in detail, look for another job, etc. and even potentially say 'i am a colleague now, please be professional, i don't like strangers touching me'. once you get a job on backup, perhaps look into who's on the school board, and if there's any parents with children currently in the school, if you feel comfortable, perhaps mention his actions when you were a child (you could say it was another student that you just witnessed or they told you, if you don't want to reveal that info about you), plus his current actions now, and that you feel he's not safe around children. someone with a child currently in the school is more likely to make a fuss, and someone on the board has more sway.

there should also be a local, regional, or national authority over your school, and you could make an anonymous report stating the ignoring of sexual harassment, including from adults, by the heads of your school. if you could get others on board, whether former or current students, then multiple reports going to the appropriate authorities in regards to school oversight is more likely to prompt an investigation.

and then they pick up tango, whos just dealt with parasites, and then parasites dock on their ship, and then two of thw crew get taken, and then they get sent back in time to the 1300s and theyre left almost entirely alone. sure, there are two other people there, but they never leave thw goddamn tower, and it feels like false and stress are entirely by themselves

and in my head this is when theyre like. theyre in love but theyre not dating? theyre roommates and their relationship is just what it is. theyre never girlfriends theyre just in love and exist with each other. deal with things as they come.

and then wels shows up. this guy is so badly third wheeling ans he doesnt wven knowwww hes just like huh. okay. this is a normal thing thats happening <- guy who lived exclusively with men, and then lived by himself for the past Many years

theyre just. very domestic kind of? everything is weird and screwed up and they live in 1300s england and they dont know what theyre doing!!!! but theyre together and theyre just. living. and in love. theyre so important to each other you dont get it

and then everything goes wrong all at once

stress leaves, which is fine, stress leaves all the time - she can take care of herself. better than false can, in some ways. but then wels’ clone shows up and they kill him and he falls to the bottom of the tower and bdubs and etho are gone - and false allows herself a moment to realize that she never knew that bdubs and etho were gone which means that she has no clue how long its been since they disappears

and then she follows after stress but stress is gone and her neighbours are dead and infected and she lets their bodies fall to rest because theyre ALREADY dead and this is a mimicry of them that’s puppetting their bodies and they said that they touched stress and they deserve nothing less than to be burned

shes so protective of stress and im normal about that prommy

god no yeah im skipping straight to the chapel its. i want some people to be able to read it for the first time so

okay so in the chapel scene, false finds stress finally and it all feels so tension filled because you know something is wrong and sometimes you know WHAT is wrong [i certainly did] and its terrifying and false is asking stress to come home because how could they not go home together?

and stress wraps her arms around false’s neck and hugs her and she apologies and false doesn’t get why but then stress pushes her down and theres a grub in her mouth and stress has opened her eyes and her eyes are red and false realizes that stress has already died and shes being puppetted by an alien. and wels comes to get stress off of her and stress wrangles herself out of her grip and false has had a gun under her skirt for forever, and finally she pulls it out to use it and

stress is already dead

it doesnr make shooting her through the skull feel any better

and to me its. what if someone stole your lover and put her face on and said “i love you” in the only way either of you have ever said i love you, and it tried to kill you too and it made you stare into her eyes as you killed her killer and. and. and you press your boot down on the grubs that killed your lover and you send wels away to go get you fire so you can burn them to hell and when he’s gone you cry. because your lover is gone and you didnt kill her, but it feels like you did, and she’s gone

and you don’t really get over it either. you get cloned, and your clone gets grubbed and your clone keeps saying that YOU killed her with your own two hands and a gun, but you didnt. you killed the being that was pretending to be her, and youre trying to kill the being that is pretending to be YOU but she keeps saying you didnt love her enough because if you loved her you would have let her live, and you keep saying she was already dead, but your other is infected too. and maybe she’s right

but this has long since become your life mission - to get rid of the grubs - and you can’t drop it now. you can’t doubt yourself now.

and you kill her, and you killed stress, and you swear to yourself that all you ever did was lay the dead to rest. surely. surely.

and then t=♾ and there’s stress again and she isnt grubbed and you missed her and you love her and youve loved her and-

but she says that she was alive even when she was grubbed and her eyes arent red so you cant force yourself to believe that her mind isnt clear, and then your double says that you wouldn’t have killed her if you loved her but you KNOW that you killed her BECAUSE you loved her but everything is breaking apart and maybe you killed the one you love and then

and then stress is back, and ren is there and both of them are people you failed but theyre both something like alive and you think that maybe you were the monster the whole time

explaining this is just. they were in love and stress died, whether when she was infected or when false killed her and grieving over her has made false who she is and WAUGH

okay so theyre doing it. escaping to go home with maven! bonding moment ahead, i can feel it.

oh wait cal is coming with them? aaaaand weve got ourselves an obligatory awkward moment where the protagonist catches one of the guys bare-chested™. sigh. well whatever. girls be thirsty ig. lets point out how hes got a bruise near his heart?? is he okay?? i suppose he is but ouch.

oh wait so maven asked cal to help mare go to her home. ohhhhh. that makes sense.

cal obviously thinks its a bad idea but mare takes no shit. she wants to go home. so cal agrees. i should mention how adorably funny mares excitement is. like a toddler lmao.

its also implied that cal was expecting to play chess with maven. im pretty sure its chess.

she catches a glance at scars on his back. he keeps them despite having access to healers to tend to them. this is interesting. since he is shown to be the type to see past his own glamorous life and privilege, im guessing he keeps them as a reminder of his peoples suffering. maybe hes trying to connect with the people he knows little to nothing about, and thats why he also sneaks out pretending to be red.

they leave, and cal leads her to a… basement storage room. im genuinely confused why are there weird metal shapes that move in here. mare is suddenly passive-aggressively complainig about his huge armor closet. i get that shes mad at how close hes to the whole war tactic planning but… its not like hes got much choice is it.

he responds honestly saying he doesnt want to wear armor when he bring her to her family as to not make them feel threatened i suppose?

mares got a good point. honestly i just assumed they were gonna have a walk around the stilts and see her acquaintances and loved ones from afar. wouldnt going to her home and talking to her parent require a plan or an explanation that isnt “ive been betrothed to one of the princes because they found out i have powers. oh yeah, i have powers! neat huh? so as i was saying, ill have to pretend to be a princess for the rest of my life and this might be the last time i get to see you all.”

oh ok so theyll pretend they took mare in to work for the royals like at the beginning and cal will be her ride. oh yeah cal has a motorbike which is cool as shit. but also… if this werent a fantasy universe this would look hella cliché.

he built it- yeah ok that is pretty damn awesome.

mare hesitates at first but obviously gives in and puts the helmet on. she wants to go home, damnit.

she got so nervous she held onto him so hard he had to pry her off. and i mean, its her first time on a bike obviously shed be pretty scared.

also she missed his warmth as soon as she let go. makes sense that shed be at least a little touch starved. aw.

mare takes the chance to ask him, in her own way (making remarks about how often he does this and all), why he wants to hang out in red bars rather than his luxurious palace. he comments that hes going to be king one day and doesnt get to be selfish. mare points out the king should be the only one who does. and it mqkes sense cause thats how she sees it. the only way shes known how to live is stealing and risking her life. and shes seen the silvers get everything they need and want. it has frustrated her understandably.

cal finally answers. the king should know his people. yeah i called it. makes sense! he wants to empathize with them. hes doing what he can. hes trying to be a good leader. to see what the world is like instead of being told how it is by everyone else.

ouch. but true.

cal tells her that it would cost them they alliance to other kingdoms. that theyd be tron apart by them. which… makes sense. but mare believes its possible to make it better. that norta could be the start.

the conversation dies as they make it to her home. cal waits outside bc he noticed how nervous mare was, the sweetheart, but she tells him to join anyway. they go in she and wakes up his brothers bree and tramy first. mom and dad join in as they notice whats going on. everyone is happy to seer her. well. gisa only pokes her head out. and wheres shade??

they congratulate her on getting a job, and comment that the story for the brothers discharge and their full pension was a lottery they won.

Up above us, Gisa scoffs. […] “Yes, we’re very lucky,”

poor girl. shes lost her hand for all these things to happen. it feels more like a trade than actual luck to her. she gives mare the cold shoulder and asks about cal. which is a bit hurtful but… fair, from her point of view.

dad know hes not from around there. cal quickly makes up a story of how hes from harbor bay and changes his accent which i gotta admit, good quick thinking! he comments how the servants travel a lot, which prompts her mom to be horrified. mare remarks that its good money. i mean its definitely better than stealing, from their point of view mares doing an honest attempt at working.

bree is suspicious and makes a comment about liking kilorn better. lmao.

oh fuck. is shade dead???

“He tried to run away. He was executed. Beheaded.”

holy shit. dude. things are getting real.

mare is so angry shes making lightbulbs buzz. guess the act is about be up.

she makes a mess, cal cant get to her and everyone already knows. mare angry because they found out shade was in the scarlet guard. and yeah, thats more likely. before she looses herself completely, though, kilorn comes in. he snaps her out of it.

but obviously the bug secret is out. and at first kilorn think it was the silvers doing, but she tells him its just her. he acts like shes a complete stranger despite her family clearly stating that she is red. cmon dude, shes going through a lot and you decide to pull that?

“Give me a knife and I’ll settle this right now,” I say, glaring back at him. “I’ll show you what color I bleed.”

she clearly means it, dude, stop that.

she explains everything. leaving out mr jacos’ findings, bc cal is there. she points out she doesnt know if theyll ever understand how or why she is the way she is. and i mean yeah, its one hell of an exception. she breaks the “rules”.

cal pretends to be a bodyguard now, and tells her its time to go. her whole family thankfully agrees to keep the secret, but kilorns fucking mad for some reason.

mare and cal leave, and he tries to comfort her about shade, but shes so close to loosing it she stops him, saying she needs to make one last stop.

its to wills!! she goes there to tell him everything, but he already knows somehow??

oh, some dude named tristan, also from the guard told him. shit, wills got some acquaintances, doesnt he?

tristan nearly bolts when he learns one of the princes is outside. of course he would! killing or kidnapping a prince? holy shit! he calls her a silver for “protecting him” but mare points out that cals pretty damn good at defending himself using his fire.

she makes her reason for presence there clear: shades dead because of the guard and she wants to use her princess privilege to help the cause. nice, short and sweet. and absolutely perfect to kick in some plot.

she shakes hands with will and seals the deal. shes in deep now. and im a delighted by finally seeing what i came in for.

so yeah, she goes back with cal thinking abt how theyre enemies now. and how weird it is that theyre both so nice to her. him and maven. i also wonder why. they both grew up surrounded by people that hate reds. how are they so tolerant?

when theyre about to leave on the sick motorbike ohmygod kilorn shows up. he better be here to say sorry.

no, hes just here to be sad about mare leaving. i mean of course he is. they were besties. he wants her to stay. cal has to step in to intimidate him just slightly to let go. im glad he didnt have to do anything too harsh. and that he tried to keep his composure as best as possible.

“You bargained for me too, to save me from conscription,”

yeah! so understand shits not cheap!

and as they leave kilorn says hell tell farley she said hello. oh god hes gonna join the guard too.

The first time i ever felt healing in the past years was yesterday.

It was the first time ever we kinda talked about whats going on. I asked if it was making him feel uncomfortable and he said no but he can imagine how i felt uneasy about it.

This alone healed some broken bits and pieces inside me. I never really thought that he cares about how i feel. At least he never told me. That might be because he doesnt want to make it any harder for me but how would he know that the contrary is the case?

I always say that i made my peace with those feelings, but in fact the first time i actually felt a little peace was yesterday.

Still there are unsolved questions on my mind. Especially one. He had so many girls in all those years, i assume he had sex with most if not all of them. We were never an official item but he could have had me like any given time tbh, there were lots of oppertunities, but he never did.

Why?

At some point me and my now husband became a thing, i get why he wouldnt cross any more lines than he already did at that point. Always touching me in some way, flirting and making me go crazy, he enjoyed that and i did, too. ̶i̶̶ ̶̶m̶̶i̶̶s̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶i̶̶s̶.

But before that?

Maybe he wanted to protect me from being haunted but jokes on me, we all know how that went.

Maybe he actually always cared more about me then i knew and i am something special to him. But my mind tells me „haha honey you wish“ right now.

While typing „you are my brothers wife“ echoes through my head. Thats what i am to him, at least thats what he told me once.

Big ouch.

This man is my first love. That one-of-a-kind love that drives you into pure insanity, can‘t think straight and haunts you at night. I already had a crush on him when he kissed me for the first time but since that moment i completely fell for him. This kind of love is something that you only experience once. Nothing will ever compare. I do love my husband more than anything. But its different.

I still remember the day i decided to open up my heart to let somebody else in. His mother told me that he loves me and how she hopes i wont give up on him. I cried on my way home so much that my skin was sore, when my now husband showed up and tried to cheer me up. He hugged me and I cried until his shirt was soaking wet. When he looked at me and carefully wiped the tears off my face, i realized that he was always there for me when i most needed it. He always wiped away all those tears.

I needed to let some healthy love into my life and i decided to allow myself to love someone else. When i was a teen i thought you can only love one person truly but now i know thats just not true.

The lovestory of my husband and me was chaotic and painful as well. All that drama with his ex girlfriend, he cheated on me and told me about it years after. If he had told me right away when it happened i would have left. And that would have lend me down into my favorite toxic spiral again. It hurt nonetheless. After years and years of jealousy, pain, rejection and heartbreak you decide to kinda move on with the guy who always was your best friend and seems like the most precious human being. And him of all people goes straight into breaking your heart.

I think thats my type or something.

When i finally opened up about my feelings to my best friend, because she saw this little screw in my purse, i was hit with a lack of understanding. She asked why i would still spend time with him, that i dont sound like a married woman, why i wont break off contact, i would only make it harder for myself.

The thing is, those two men are the best of friends. They are literally like brothers and my husband loves him more than his actual brother.

Even if i wanted to, which i dont, theres no way i could avoid him.

I know most people will never understand how this feels like. But i have found my own way to cope with it. Having my little crumbs keeps me happy and maybe one day i will heal and those scars will fade. But i realized that i cant heal them on my own. I need the one who caused them to help me.
