Finally got around to starting Hot Shot. Why in the shit is the MC so desperately attracted to this violent, disrespectful, emotionally unstable individual?

Like sure, Casey is attractive, but I would’ve lost pretty much any and all feelings the minute Casey started mouthing off and threatening my career, and even if I were stupid enough to stick around despite that, I’d have been gone the minute they started hurting people out of anger.

Every time I think Choices has declined to its lowest it’s just gotten worse and worse and worse.

The Endless Summer MC is one of the best we have in the app and I don’t see that talked about nearly enough. They were a cosmic entity, yet they were also so incredibly human and grounded and just…normal. They were so unremarkable and that’s what made them remarkable.

They were also integral to the group, but not because they were an OP badass type character. They were integral to the group and each individual friend because they helped each person find their own strengths and worths.

When I really think about it, it does come off as rather TERFy when people preach that it's bad to want more GOC stories because "this is one of the few video games where we play as female locked characters, let women have this one thing". Yeah when they say "women" you KNOW they only mean allo cis gender-conforming women, most likely white and straight too.

You're gonna root against male MC options for the sake of "muh few female locked MCs", but we all know damn well you're not gonna root for trans MC options or GNC appearance/romance options for the female-locked MCs. Or any other sort of variety in the options or portrayal of these female MCs that doesn't try to pander to Facebook Karen Moms.

I have to say, this trend of cool new characters joining our party and leaving 1-2 chapters later is hella cheap. I like Imtura and Tyril well enough, Nia and Mal are consistently getting on my nerves, and I don’t feel strongly about Aerin one way or the other.

I want to get to know non-love interest characters better. They were the strongest part of Endless Summer. They were the strongest part of ILITW. Hell, they were even the strongest part of The Freshman.

Let us have strong platonic friendships. Let us get that good development.
