Ooo your AU’s seem so cool Wild 😱💕! I’m curious about the “Everybody Lives” AU and the “Time Travel fix it” with Finral and Vanessa 👀. What has been your favorite part about those two AU’s 🤔?

My favourite part of the Everybody Lives au is tracking just how different the world ends up with all the people that survive.

The time-travel fix-it au- so, the Dark Triad win and the gates to the underworld are open. All of the Bulls except Vanessa, Finral and Gauche die when the gates are opened.

Gauche figures out that, theoretically, Finral and Vanessa can go back in time and change things. He doesn't go with them.

Finral and Vanessa arrive about a year before Asta and Noelle join the squad and, whilst they don't drag the Bulls out their hole--they don't want to change too mcuh too early--they do stop them from digging the hole any deeper

OKAY I've been thinking about this one since you sent it and also I had to draw it so here we go

Coral Peacock Nebra

So imagine that instead of having her head shoved all the way up Nozel's ass, Nebra decides that she doesn't want to spend her life in her brother's shadow, and wants to make her own path. She's got her pick of any squad she wants, and she entertains all of them, to Nozel's growing anxiety. It’s fun to make big brother sweat.

While 15-year-old Nebra is busy torturing Nozel with what squad she will join, Nozel sits down for tea with Dorothy. He rants and raves about the dangers Nebra could put herself in if she's not under HIS watch, but pushing back will only make her resist harder! It's a lose-lose for him! How can he ever assure her safety when she wants to join a squad that will treat her like everybody else?

Dorothy, who is a little high and very wise when she's a little high, is like, dude. I'm right here?

In Nozel's panic, he didn't consider that an offer to a squad would be far too tantalizing for Nebra to ignore, because while she will be admitted into any squad she picks, nobody is inviting her.

So Dorothy just. Invites Nebra. And Nebra, whose confidence is made of straw, is absolutely flabbergasted. She accepts on the spot.

Being a coral peacock is a pretty rude awakening for Nebra, because while Dorothy promised Nozel that she’d handle her delicately, she does not handle her as delicately as Nozel would. Nebra is made acutely aware of her weaknesses, which she does not like at all. There are tears. There are tantrums. There are thoughts of just quitting and leaning into being a wall flower for the House Silva. At least that way she wouldn’t get her feelings hurt and her ass kicked.

Then Dorothy takes her aside and, in her usual bubbly way, tells her to chill the fuck out and train. People get better at things when they work at them, Dorothy reminds her. And Nebra’s like, Incomprehensible, have a horrible day.

But her failures mount and despite her growing embarrassments, she can’t convince herself to quit. It’s technically allowed, but wouldn’t it be more embarrassing than trying this “work on it” thing? She does not know, and at this point she’s too afraid to ask. So, humbled to her breaking point, she asks Dorothy for help. And Dorothy could not be happier.

Dorothy planned to pair her with a more experienced knight with a liquid affinity, but Nebra makes it very clear that she is Attached to Dorothy. Dorothy’s not sure how that happened, but if she makes Nozel’s little sister cry one more time, she might lose his trust. It’s just better to give in and train the brat herself.

Shockingly, Nebra derives the same comfort of solitude from Glamor World as Nozel does s/. It’s kind of a pain, but Dorothy fits training sessions into her schedule. And what do you know? Nebra starts coming along! She’s actually pretty good at this “working on it” thing, and that makes training fun for both of them.

Nebra is thriving as a Coral Peacock. Her confidence is soaring, her attitude problem is checked, and she’s getting stronger by the day. Nozel is, admittedly, shocked. He was hoping for the best, but he was always low-key expecting that Nebra would come crawling back on her hands and knees. Not that he’s disappointed, but he does kind of miss his little sister...

Dorothy is loving this. Not only does she have a well-trained royal raising her star numbers, she’s also got a little sister! One who knows all sorts of juicy details about her best friend! This really couldn’t have worked out better.

Anyway, there’s no way that Nebra doesn’t steal Dorothy’s look eventually, even if she’s not a witch and also not a dream magic user. She liked the hat so she got herself one. Hers has cherry blossom petals on it. It’s purple.

Yay, sibling requests!

Can I please requests a oneshot where Nozel is hit by a spell that causes him to lose control of his emotions and everyone thinks he'll be angry or extra cold, but instead he's just crying and gushing over how cute and amazing his siblings are. Including Noelle.

Nozel Silva oneshot, ft. the Silva Siblings, Dorothy and Fuegoleon

"Please Nozel~" Dorothy came to the Silva household one day, she was just at Julius' office, reporting her recent mission.

"No." The Captain of the Silver Eagles ignored her.

"I uncovered this spell during my latest mission and it will make one lose control of their emotions, so let me try it on you please!" The Unsworth pleaded, "You're the best person I know that controls their emotions well!!"

Hearing her compliment, Nozel stayed silent for awhile.

“Why not take it as a game!” The captain of the Coral peacock challenged playfully, “to see how well you can keep in control! Besides the spell will wear off in 2 hours!”

Nebra and Solid looked on the conversation in fear. They knew what it was like being in their brother’s wrath, he’ll either be super silent or super angry and they were scared.. for their life.

“Er…” Nebra tried to stop the tragedy that was about to unfold, “Captain Dorothy, why not try it on Solid!”

“Hmmm?” She looked at Solid with a look of distain, as her features scrunched, “but solid can hardly control his emotions anyway!”

Ouch. Nebra could help but snigger as Solid scowled.

Nozel gave a scoff, “very well, but only for 2 hours, or I’ll kill you Unsworth.”

Dorothy casted her newly learnt spell and mana radiated around Nozel. His eyes slowly closed, and his body went limp in his armchair, as if he went to dreamland.

He woke again 10 minutes later, the 3 of them surrounding him.

“Are you o-okay brother…?” Nebra asked cautiously, not wanting to be the one to trigger the extremely emotional Nozel.

Nozel’s eyes widened and he stood up, cause the other 2 Silva siblings to jump back in surprise.

He grabbed the both of them and embraced them in a tight hug, “you guys are my amazing siblings. I would have been so lonely if I didn’t have the both of you around me. I always feel so proud that the both of you look up to me and I always want to be the best role model for you both..” his voice cracked a little at the end.

Nebra and Solid’s eyeballs almost popped from their sockets. Either because Nozel was hugging the living life out of them or because they were so shocked their eyes opened so widely.

Dorothy stood there, amazed at her magic but she wasn’t really surprised. In her dreamland, this was how Nozel was. She knew Nozel Silva was a big softie inside, he just didn’t know how to express it.

“Hehe, Fuegoleon needs to see this!” Dorothy giggled as an idea sprung into her mind. She disappeared all of a sudden, leaving the 3 siblings in their embrace.

“I’m sorry I’m always so hard on you two,” Nozel pulled back and looked at the both of them. The tears in the corner of his eyes, “I needed to take care of you both and make sure you’ll grow up to be strong and be able to take care of yourselves.”

Nozel hugged the two of them individually, patting the back of their heads, cooing about how they’re an amazing sibling and how they will be great mages.

Fuegoleon burst through the door, “I heard Nozel has gone mad!!”

Nebra and Solid looked at the Crimson Lion Captain in despair , “Captain Fuegoleon… Help us!”

Nozel turned to look at his rival, “Fuego!” He went over and put an arm around Fue’s shoulder, causing goosebumps to form on the Vermillion’s skin and sending shivers up his spine.

“What happened, Nozel?” He looked at Nozel and then at the other two dumbfounded Silvas, seeing their eldest revealing his true emotions shocked them, although it was a heartwarming feeling, they were just not used to it.

Before any of them could answer, Nozel exclaimed, “aren’t my siblings the best of them all? They so cute and are such great kids..”

His eyes were laced with red streaks. Even the great Fuegoleon was flabbergasted, and he couldn’t find any words to say.

"We've come a long way Fuego.." the emotional Nozel squeezed his friend's shoulder, "thank you for being my friend, making me a better person."

Fuegoleon wasn't used to his childhood rival being so straightforward. His feelings were mutual, but he was just not used to expressing it with Nozel in this manner.

"Nozel~" Dorothy appeared again before Fue could answer, "look who I brought?"

Everyone turned and saw Noelle standing there, with a puzzled expression on her face, "w-what's going on?"

"Noelle!" Nozel exclaimed, running over and enveloping her in a tight hug. "Look at how much you've grown! The last time I held you, you were still a toddler.."

There were tears in his eyes when he pulled back and looked at Noelle. He pressed both his hands on the sides of her face, taking a good look at her in adoration. She stared at him, overwhelmed by this side of her brother that she has never seen before.

"I'm sorry I was mean to you. Mom told me to take care of all of my siblings.." The elder Silva started to cry, "You've all grown up now and you're all strong and amazing. Mom would be really proud.. I'm so proud too.."

He looked at his 3 siblings with their mouth agape, they were content that they got to know the real feelings of their brother, but they just didn't know how to respond.

"I'm so happy right now, my head's starting to get a little light.." The captain held his head and Solid held his brother.

"Family hug!" he announced, and used his magic to pull the 3 of them close together into a tight embrace.

Their faces were so awkward, Dorothy and Fuego couldn't help but laugh at their expressions.

"I guess this is your doing?" Fuego raised an eyebrow at Dorothy.

"Best family counsellor ever~" Dorothy winked at him as he gave her a thumbs up and a nod of agreement.

Nozel started to lose his consciousness and the Silva siblings helped him back to his armchair.

When he regained his consciousness, they realised that he lost all his memory of what happened earlier.

"so, how was it when my emotions were out of control?" he asked.

"SCARY." they replied in unison.

Thoughts on Magic Knight Entrance Exams

I have been thinking on how the Captains really choose their recruits during the Magic Knight Entrance Exams, so instead of studying, I gathered those thoughts here. It also has some thoughts about the Entrance Exam itself in the beginning 😁

(Ch = chapter, Ep = episode)

Entrance exams.

Based on the manga, every year, in March, those that are 15-year old get their grimoires in the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony (Ch:1).

In the manga, the Magic Knights Entrance Exam is after six months from there (Ch:2). This would put it to September. It's unknown whether they recruit every year or if the recruitment is distributed differently, since instead of serving a certain amount of years, it seems to be more of a job than military service. Since lot of the characters seem to have joined Magic Knights as 15-year-olds, it seems to suggest that it is a yearly occurance. (E.g. the wiki says Julius joined Grey Deers' immediately as a 15 year old, meaning he has served ~27 years.)

We are only shown that there are possibly over 165 participants, and considering that the captains handpick those they want, there can't be an immense sum. They neither seem to recruit too many at a time - Black Bulls recruited 1 (since Noelle didn't participate in the actual exam), seemingly Golden Dawn also only took Yuno and as far as we know, Sekke could have been the only Green Mantis recruit. The squad sizes should probably also have an effect (how many more the squad needs to maintain their size), but it's hard to make guesses based on that. It seems like they recruit very few people every year, though. According to the anime (Ep:5), the first participant even chosen is only number 71, meaning 70 first participants didn't become knights.

Captains.

As said before, the Captains make the choices in the entrance exams. The interesting thing is that they don't seem to have their vice-captains to help with the part, but rather...just someone from the squad (Ch:2). While Yami has Finral & Gordon, it looks like William has Siren Tium by his side and Fuegoleon has Leopold. The anime seems to show Nebra by Nozel's side (Ep:4).

Maybe the vice-captains take care of the missions while the captains spend their day choosing recruits, so they pick someone whose judgement they trust?

So how do the captains choose who they want?

As shown by everyone wanting Yuno, they all want someone powerful (possibly due to the four-leaf-grimoire), someone somewhat ambitious - Yuno's calm demeanor could also have an effect. All were willing to look past him being a peasant.

Yami, William and Charlotte are the easiest to make guess for what kind of people they are looking for.

Yami (Black Bulls) wants outcasts and people who interest him. He wants to provide a safe growing place for hooligans and outsiders (Ep: 86). This means he also recruits largely outside of the exams. I'd wager that for him, having some physical strength is also a plus (looking at Asta/Magna).

William (Golden Dawn) recruited those with elves' souls and possibly those with great potential for growth - those who could bring hope to normal people. He is probably likely to take already powerful people.

Charlotte (Blue Rose) most likely looks out for passionate women to give them places in the squad and possibility of defending themselves and others. Interestingly enough, it has been mentioned that she also has men in her squad as "errand boys" (Ch:111), which...has implications I don't quite like. I'm not sure what is Charlotte's criteria for choosing men to the squad and I'm not sure I want to know.

Since Fuegoleon's and Nozel's squads also form the Royal Castle Knights (Ch: 173), they both are likely to lean towards more noble candidates. I trust Fuegoleon to discriminate less than Nozel on this part. Everything here is guesswork, though.

Nozel (Silver Eagles) would most likely recruit dedicated and cool-headed people with good amount of mana. I wouldn't be surprised if he only recruited nobles, but as seen with Yuno, probably also takes those with great magical ability.

Fuegoleon (Crimson Lion Kings) probably recruits passionate people who want to protect the Kingdom...with certain amount of mana. I'd suspect that he likes candidates that show analytical skill and strategical skill.

The absolute unknowns for me are the four rest, mainly because we know so little of their squads.

Gueldre (Purple Orca) seems to have picked rather scoundrelly/underhanded types - people with little empathy and possibly quite a bit of ambition. It can be seen in his vice-captain, Xerx Lugner, who is seen as a saint, but is actually cruel and arrogant. Kaiser (Purple Orca) will hopefully have a different approach as the new captain. According to Fuegoleon, he is an upstanding and humble man (which begs the question - how did he end up in Gueldre's squad?), and it might be a sign that he would concentrate more on recruiting similar people as himself.

Jack (Green Mantis) recruited Sekke, who showed some amount of skill in the battle with his Cannonball (being able to defend&attack), but also seems to be rather accurate and have good control over his magic in the exam (Ch:2). En, another from the squad, doesn't really show the same cunning, but also has a great control over his magic. I don't think Jack recruits based on personality as much as people who (or their magic) interests him, perhaps?

Dorothy (Coral Peacock) and her vice-captain, Kirsch, make a very interesting combo. Cheerful dreams + arrogant beauty gives very imaginative vibes. If we knew any more of the squad, I'd imagine they could recruit people with imaginative ways of using their magic and helping them use that with teams. I have no real clue, however, what would be the criteria Dorothy uses.

Rill (Aqua Deer) probably would go for somewhat artistic types? I'd see it very easily at least. Whether they are delicate or wild with their magic, maybe those with some artistic inclination could find a place with him?

Chapter 1

It’s been 5 years since you saw your homeland. After years of exploring, discovering and living to other kingdoms and even beyond the 4 kingdoms, you are finally back.

You’re wearing a cloak over your head as you walk to the royal capital with your eyes hidden. The kingdom did not change, it’s prosperous and full of life. It made you relieved, since you saw what the other kingdoms and far places looked like. Clover Kingdom is still the best to be home with, the freedom is unmatchable.

“Oh, you’re back.”

You kneeled before the 28th Magic Emperor, Julius Novachrono, which by the way looked way much younger than the last time you saw him. You raised your head as you kneel with a keen look on your face, trying to figure out if he is really the Magic Emperor. Although Marx did show you the way to the Magic Emperor and he led you here.

“You must be confused, well I will be too if you suddenly looked 13!”

This Ki… This is still the Ki of what he knows as the Magic Emperor’s. The voice is his too, but how the hell this happened?

“Magic Emperor, I apologized for my rudeness. I must not doubt or question you, but what happened to you? Is this your Time Magic?” You bravely asked, the thinking is nerve wracking your brain.

He laughed, “Yes and no. Y/N, so much has happened in the Kingdom. I trust Marx will fill you in later.”

“Arigatou, Magic Emperor.” You said in gratitude, and stood up.

“How’s your exploration, Y/N? Have any new magic discoveries?” The excitement of the Magic Emperor is quite evident in his voice and eyes. You nearly grinned. This is really the Magic Emperor.

“Yes. I have already written it all in the report. I don’t trust my storytelling capabilities. I apologized. I supposed I could trust Marx to fill you in too later.”

The Magic Emperor loudly laughed, “Of course. You must be tired from your 5 year long journey, Y/N. Take a rest and I will let you decide which squad you would want to be in.”

“Squad? Why do I-“

“You’re gone for 5 years, Y/N. You were abolished from any squads during the first 3 years and we have no idea of your return.” The Magic Emperor explained seriously.

You nodded understanding the situation, but isn’t it obvious that she would want to be on her old squad?

“I’m giving you the liberty to choose, but like in the exam you’ll need to do something to make the captains want you. Though I doubt they wouldn’t want you in their squad but just for formality, okay?”

You saluted with your index, ring and thumb finger folded on your chest, “I understand, Magic Emperor.”

“Very well, in the meantime you could rest in the guestroom prepared for you. See you later, Y/N.”

Truthfully, you are escorted by one of the guards to the room. The travel finally took a toll on you with a sight of the soft mattress, you laid down to rest unbeknownst to you the commotion of the Magic Knights for your return.

Green Mantis’ Headquarters

“Captain, the Magic Emperor sent a message. A certain Y/N has returned and he is requesting the presence of the Captains later evening.” Sekke informs Jack the Ripper, Captain of the Green Mantis squad, “I don’t know who she is but she seems important, all the senior magic knights are buzzing in excitement, Ha Ha!”

The slicer grinned, “Of course, she is. I’m going to see how it will all go down.”

Azure Deer’s Headquarters

The captain of Azure Deer formerly known as Grey Deer, Rill Boismortier, has a wide genuine smile on his face upon hearing the news. The said woman is someone he became acquainted with before she left the kingdom to explore new things.

Purple Orca’s Headquarters

Kaiser Granvorka, captain of the Purple Orca, is chilling on the headquarters. Adrian is one of the members of his squad and began reading the letter the Magic Emperor has sent him. The captain plastered a small smile which is rare, and began to say his goodbyes before heading to the Magic Emperor’s headquarters.

Golden Dawn’s Headquarters

“Very well,” William Vengeance solemnly answered, “I will not miss seeing her return. I’m going to be there.”

“Who is this person exactly?” Yuno, the vice-captain of the Golden Dawn, asked. He is also curious about the identity since everyone is making a fuss about your comeback.

William smiled at him, “She is a very strong competitor on becoming the Magic Emperor. Y/N might not be a captain but she is surely on the level. Her journey went for 5 years, with no letters or assurance of her return and just vanished from the Kingdom. Now she is back, which means every Magic Knight Squad will fight to get her to theirs.”

“Well, doesn’t she have one before she left?”

“She had,” The captain grinned, “It is abolished since her return is uncertain. Now, according to the rules she needs to take the exam like you did except she will just show her magic then the captains will decide if they want her… which is obvious. Then, she will choose among who wants her.”

Yuno became determined to meet “The Revenant”, that’s what everyone calls you, just with the thought that she is a magic knight captain level and a rival on becoming the Magic Emperor. He surely wants to meet Y/N.

“I’ll take you with me and introduce you to her,” William saw his expression and he knew what he wanted, “You can take Mimosa Vermillion too. She knows her.”

Crimson Lion’s Headquarters

Fuegoleon Vermillion, captain of the Crimson Lion, is on his desk reading paperworks with his sister in front of him. Mereoleona Vermillion is the first one to look at the busted door as their youngest brother stormed inside the office.

“Leopold, that is quite rude! When will you-“ Mereoleona was interrupted when Leopold came rushing with a letter in hand. The stamp didn’t go unnoticed by the two older siblings.

“From the Magic Emperor?” Fuegoleon asked.

“You don’t need to open it because I know what the news is!” Leopold is definitely oddly happy today.

“What is it?” Mereoleona asked, eagerly.

“Y/N has returned and all the captains are being summoned!” Leopold announced happily.

First, Fuegoleon is surprised then his thoughts went to a certain person.

“How did you even know?” The oldest asked the question again.

“The news is everywhere!”

Oh damn…

Blue Rose’s Squad

“Charlotte-nii sama!” Sol jumped in delight as soon as she told their captain of the Blue Rose squad, Charlotte Roselei, the message of the Magic Emperor.

The captain smiled, “I know, Sol.”

Sol knew that Charlotte was delighted as she didn’t correct her again with what she called their captain just now.

Coral Peacock’s Headquarters

“Our supposed Vice captain is back!” A member of the Coral Peacock squad yelled in the headquarters.

“Ha! It seems like we can watch something exciting today!” Yami Sukehiro, captain of the Black Bull, said with a grin. A letter latched into his hand.

“Captain, what’s up?” Magna asked.

Yami laughed, “A certain revenant is back, and she is finding a squad so I am going to snatch her!”

The rest of the squad just looked amused on the excitement their captain shows, which only appears rarely than it looks like.

“Captain Yami, the exam is not up this week!” Asta corrected.

Yami ignored him and shifted his eyes to Noelle Silva, who looked flabbergasted when her captain looked at her with amusement.

“Noelle, you’ll go with me. You need to see everything unfolds.” Yami laughed yet again on his antics.

“I’ll go too, Captain Yami!” Asta volunteered, making Noelle blushed.

“Yes, you come too! Finral, transport us immediately.” Yami said with a smile.

Silver Eagle’s Headquarters

“Nozel-nii-sama…”

A knock on Nozel Silva’s office made him stop with his paperworks. It’s his sister, Nebra Silva, coming in with an envelope with it seems from the Magic Emperor.

“Leave the letter there, Nebra.” Nozel Silva, captain of the Silver Eagle, told her.

Nozel could’ve brushed her off and ignored her until she left but the look on her face made him curioused.

“I think I have an idea what the letter is about.” Nebra starts.

Nozel’s eyebrow raised, “You do?”

“There are a lot of words going around the Royal Capital. The Magic Knights are also talking about it.”

“Say your point, I am busy.” Nozel’s patience is running thin with how slow his sister is going at it.

“Y/N apparently has returned. She was spotted going to the Magic Emperor this afternoon, and words are captains have been summoned to partake in getting her into a squad.”

The first sentence is all it takes for him to be clouded in his own thoughts; Nebra’s next words didn’t register to him. Just the information that you came back is enough to let his mind wander. The last time he saw you was 5 years ago, you left with him watching your back exit the Royal Capital.

“Nozzle-nii-sama.” Nebra called to get Nozel’s attention.

Nozel was pulled back to reality, “I understand. You can go, Nebra.”

Nebra’s lips turn grime. Normally, you couldn’t see the effect of her news on Nozel Silva but Nebra knew her brother so well. The change in his grimed lips to gloomy, his eyebrows knitting, the tension on his shoulders and the melancholy gaze in his eyes. She could see it all unfolds before her.

“W-Will you come?” She asked, nervously.

“I should. I am a captain of the Magic Emperor’s magic knight squad, his words are mine to follow.” Nozel answered, coldly.

I should… It’s not even his will, but it is a must to him. Even though he doesn’t want to go.

Chapter 11: Maelie and Misunderstandings

Hi guys! Here’s Chapter 11 sorry i didn’t get it posted sooner and sorry its kinda all over the place 😅. This is another filler pretty much, but I hope you all enjoy! Chapter 12 will be reblogged in a few days so don’t worry and chapter 13 shouldn’t take as long! Anyway I hope you all enjoy~!

Gauche sighed softly as he walked out of the bedroom he, Grey, and Aloys had dropped Maelie off in. The young girl was fast asleep, and hopefully she would stay that way for a while. Aloys decided he was going to sit and wait for her to wake up so he could explain what was going on. Grey and Gauche agreed and decided to leave the siblings for now.

The two walked out of the hallway and were greeted with several eyes staring at them, Grey let out a small yelp and quickly hid behind Gauche. He shook his head, he didn’t think she’d ever get over her shyness at this point, but he didn’t mind too much. He walked towards the group and could feel Grey had a firm grip on the back of his shirt as they walked.

“ How’s the kid?” Yami asked as he stood up and walked over to the couches and sat down, Gauche did the same and a few of the others came and sat in the common room as well.

“ Which one?” Gauche asked as he crossed his arms. “ Aloys is fine, relieved that he found his sister and that she’s safe. As for Maelie, she appears to be ok, but she hasn’t woken up yet.” He shrugged.

“ W-We found her in the center of the Northern Woods,” Grey stammered as she kept her face partially hidden behind her hands, Yami frowned.

“ I thought her brother said they landed in the East woods.” Yami crossed his arms as he leaned back on the couch, Charlotte walked over and sat down next to him as Gauche shook his head.

“ No, the brat assumed she landed with him in the East woods.” Gauche muttered as he unfolded his arms and rested one at his side while the other moved to rest behind Grey. Whether it was a conscious placement no one knew, but it did seem to give Grey a little comfort as she moved her hands further down her face so she could see everyone a bit more.

“ So how did you manage to find her?” Charlotte asked curiously, the brunette looked over at the blue haired woman sitting next to him, he watched her face turn a bright shade of red as she looked away from Captain Roselei.

“ W-Well, Gauche and I talked about how we pretty much looked through all of the East woods, and so we decided to l-look around the other woods that surrounded the Capitol. We were going counter-clockwise which was why we went to the North Woods first, a-and Maelie was in the center of it just like Aloys was in the East Woods.” Grey said fairly quickly as she felt her face burn with embarrassment even more.

“ There was a circle of trees almost identical to the ones where Aloys said he woke up, and that's where we found her. The kid hasn’t woken up since we found her, so we aren’t sure if she’s exhausted or if somethings wrong with her.” Gauche shrugged when Nebra suddenly let out a small chuckle.

“ Or she could be like the Coral Peacocks Captain and just sleep all the time.” Nebra suggested as another chuckle escaped her lips.

“ Maelie isn’t like that,” Hikari jumped in suddenly, causing everyone to look over and her and Alistair, both were still standing by the door as the other kids continued to eat at the dining table. “ she’s a pretty active 9 year old, although she can be pretty shy sometimes, but she doesn’t ‘sleep’ all the time or anything.” Hikari explained as she came over and leaned forward on the back of the couch between Yami and Charlotte.

“ If I were to guess,” Alistar chimed in as he placed a hand under his chin in thought. “ Maybe the younger you are, and the less mana you have, the more exhausting the trip is?” He added thoughtfully. The others shrugged or nodded in agreement, that seemed the most logical conclusion. Yami noticed Zora was eyeing Alistair suspiciously and he frowned.

“ Something on your mind Zora?” He asked, Zora blinked a bit, apparently he didn’t realize he had been staring at the white haired boy for quite some time. Zora looked away with a small smirk.

“ Quite a few things on my mind actually Captain, obviously the first of them being all these kids and how many more we can expect.” Zora shrugged before his smirk turned into a knowing one. “ But I have a feeling someone in this room already knows all the answers to those questions.” He looked pointedly at Alistar.

Alistar just smiled warmly at Zora and appeared to ignore the insinuation. ‘feigning innocence eh? I gotta admit, that cool facade you have is very impressive, I didn’t even see him flinch.’ Zora crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall.

“ Are you accusing Alistar of something Zora?” William asked as he came to his son's defense, Zora shrugged innocently.

“ I’m not accusing him of anything,” Zora suddenly got a wicked thought in his head and chuckled a bit. “ Well actually, I am accusing your son of something; I’m accusing him of fooling around with Captain Yami’s daughter.”

You could hear a pin drop at the bombshell Zora dropped onto the small group. The kids at the table stopped eating, the adults eyes were wide and shocked, Hikari was frozen in place as she stared at Zora, and Alistar, well, his reaction wasn’t exactly what Zora was expecting. The white haired boy paled considerably, but his smile stayed in place, he watched as Alistar’s blue eyes looked over at Hikari and her family.

“ I don’t know what you’re talking about, Hikari and I are just friends and colleagues. Nothing more.” Alistar said firmly, the red haired man's eyebrows shot up in surprise, he was expecting to see at least nervousness in the boy's eyes, but there was nothing.

“ It’s true, we’re just friends.” Hikari agreed with a nod, Alistar almost flinched, whenever Hikari called them ‘friends’ it always sent a sharp pain through his chest, but he pushed it aside as Zora scoffed.

“ Then why did I see him,” he pointed at Alistair. “ leaving your room the other night?” He asked with a raised eyebrow and for a split second he saw the cool exterior of Alistar Vangeance crack. Alistar paled a bit more and his eyes widened in surprise before his head snapped over to Yami’s direction.

You could feel the anger and protectiveness oozing off of the Black Bulls Captain at this point; Yami was beyond furious, Alistar was fooling around with Hikari? Nope. No way was that going to fly! Yami instantly jumped off the couch and grabbed Alistar by his head forcefully.

“ Who the hell do you think you are? Thinking you can fool around with my daughter?!” He shouted and quickly, chaos ensued.

William, Hikari, and Charlotte were trying to get Yami to let Alistar go, while the poor boy was desperately begging for Yami to listen and that it was all just one big misunderstanding.

“ S-Shouldn’t we stop them?” Grey asked Gauche nervously, the brunette shook his head as he crossed his arms.

“ No, just let them kill each other and be done with it.” Gauche shrugged, he was more than happy to let them all fight it out, especially since he knew his Captain would win.

“ Gauche,” Grey started softly, he almost didn’t hear her, but he raised an eyebrow to let her know he heard her and for her to continue. “ are you mad about Aloys and Maelie?”

Gauche paused for a minute at her question, when he looked away from the fighting and saw her face he noticed she seemed sad, or like she had done something wrong. He shook his head and sighed softly.

“ Well, I’m not exactly happy about them,” he told her honestly, he watched the blue haired woman flinch at his words but he placed a gentle hand on top of her head. “ but no, I’m not mad about Aloys and Maelie. So stop worrying, alright?” He told her softly, he felt Grey nod quickly before someone cleared their throat.

“ Um, what’s going on?” Aloys asked in a confused tone, causing everyone to stop and look at him and who was behind him.

A little girl with short dark blue-brown hair stood behind Aloys’s leg as she watched them, she had big brown eyes, and wore a blue and white dress. She looked over at the couch and saw her ‘parents’ and smiled brightly, Gauche blinked a couple of times; instead of looking like him and Grey like Aloys did, she looked like Marie and Grey. It was strange, but her smile was almost the exact same as Marie’s.

“ She looks like your sister but with blue hair.” Yami said suddenly as he dropped the white haired boy, Alistar groaned as he held his head. Hikari quickly moved and stood between him and her ‘father’. Yami turned to look back at his daughter and William’s son.

“ I’m his bodyguard, and as long as I’m around you can’t hurt him, and if you try too, you’ll have to go through me.” Hikari announced firmly, her eyes meeting her ‘fathers’. The two Sukehiro’s stood there staring at each other, as though seeing who would back down first.

“ I think it's too late for that Hikari.” Alistar grumbled as he rubbed his head, Hikari rolled her eyes at her friend's words but ignored them for now and continued to stare at her father.

“ That’s enough you two,” Charlotte announced as she came to stand between them. “ We can discuss this another time. But for now let’s just finish eating.” Charlotte suggested. Hikari nodded, grabbed Alistar by the hand, and drug him towards the dining table to eat.

“ C-Can you guys,” Maelie started, her voice so quiet you could barely hear her. “ Can you guys, s-stop yelling and arguing please, i-it scares me.” She asked them. Gauche felt his heart melt instantly, she was absolutely adorable. He smiled softly at her and nodded.

“ Of course angel. I’ll make sure no one fights around you so that way you don’t get scared.” Gauche told her kindly and Grey had to suppress a smile at his actions. He was treating Maelie just like he treated Marie and, sometimes, herself. He was much kinder and more gentle with her then he was with Aloys. Maelie smiled shyly at her ‘father’ but you could see the happiness in her eyes as Aloys sighed.

“ C’mon let’s eat.” He guided his sister towards the dining table and pulled out a chair for her to sit down.

Charlotte smiled a bit as she watched all the kids laugh and eat at the dining table, it was like they were a small family. She looked over at Yami and shook her head as she saw he was still glaring at Alistar.

“ You’ve really stepped into the ‘protective father’ role haven’t you?” Charlotte chuckled softly, Yami turned to look at her and he rubbed the back of his head nervously.

“ I’m just trying to look out for her is all, I don’t need some idiot kid trying to take advantage of her.” Yami grumbled, Charlotte shook her head.

“ I don’t think Alistar would take advantage of Hikari, and besides I think she would put him in his place if he ever tried.” Charlotte told him, Yami nodded in agreement, Hikari did seem like the type who would let people push her around.

“ You seem to have stepped into the ‘caring mother’ role pretty easily.” Yami commented with a smirk, Charlotte blinked at him as she blushed faintly.

“ I-I wouldn’t call it that, I’m just trying to get to know her is all.” Charlotte tried to cover up, but Yami saw right through that excuse.

“ Right,” Yami said with a roll of his eyes, but he let it go for now. It seems they both have stepped into their parental roles without even meaning too.

“ Do you think Maelie is the last one?” Charlotte asked suddenly as they had taken a moment to watch the kids, along with the other adults who had moved to the dining table, all talk and laugh and just hang out together. It was a nice scene, especially considering what everyone had gone through with the Spade Kingdom recently.

“ I hope so,” Yami said with a sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “ and if not then the next kids had better not be from my squad. It’s another squad's turn to have a bunch of kids come from the future and stir things up for them.” He grumbled as he walked towards the table as well. Charlotte laughed softly before following behind him.

Luckily for Yami, his wish would be granted.

                            ❝  dorothy?  ❞  his  voice,  usually  cold  and  harsh,  gently  lulls  over  her  snores.  a  rare  instance  indeed,  good  thing  the  coral  peacocks  captain’s  a  heavy  sleeper.  still,  of  all  the  places  to  snooze...  he’ll  have  to  lecture  her  for  her  carelessness  another  time.  however,  for  now,  nozel  takes  a  quick  glance  around  the  perimeter  (  nebra  and  solid  were  gone  and  the  chances  of  noelle  being  home  were  extremely  slim --- good  )  before  shifting  over  his  long,  silver  cape  to  fall  over  the  sleeping  witch.  

                            it  rests  comfortably  around  both  their  shoulders  shielding  them  from  the  night  time  breeze.  shifting  her  into  a  more  comfortable,  less  strenuous  position  against  his  shoulder.  a  soft  smile  ghosts  his  lips  as  he  takes  in  a  deep  breath.  left  in  a  state  of  pure  relaxation.  he  peers  up  at  the  stars  once  more,  picking  out  his  favorite  constellations.

Black Clover--Squad Color Meaning

Inspired by Psy2Go’s entertaining video on What Your Favorite Color Means to You?; I compiled a list of squads within the Clover Kingdom and the squad colors. Please enjoy! Thank you. 

Black = Power, mystery The Black Bulls are the 'loser squad' but they have element of mystery when it comes to Yami. But when Asta joined the squad, they become more powerful so the color black is good on them. The color black also represents elegance. Finral is a Royal but sadly he is not treated well. The color black symbolizes death and evil: The other squads and everyone in the Clover Kingdom views them as sinister, even Yami uses death threats on his squad when they annoy him.

Golden = Compassion, courage, wisdom and magic The Golden Dawn has a captain who is courageous and the wisest person ever. Yuno while he is stoic, he is compassion as well as Mimosa, even Klaus becomes compassionate and yet he is wise too. Ironically gold symbolizes magic as this squad has more magic than anyone than the Black Bulls and other competitive squads can handle.

Silver = Glamour, grace Now this is funny! The Silver Eagles have glamour going on for the Silva Family is known to look graceful and beautiful but sadly in the beginning Nozel, Nebra and Solid aren't so graceful when they pick on their sister Noelle but after she proves herself worthy.

Crimson = Determined to succeed without upsetting, celestrial love of goodness, passion The Crimson Lions are the most passionate, fiery squad so to say. Their captain, his sister and brother are determined to succeed without upsetting anyone as they are brave. Fuegolen has goodness in him for his squad, for Asta despite being a commoner and having respect for him--which is sweet!

Blue = Stability, loyalty, confidence I feel like laughing! While the Blue Roses are an all female squad; they are loyal to their captain. And their captain is a confident young lady with stability but she can go off the rails when it comes to her infatuation for Yami of the Black Bulls.

Green = Nature, life, jealousy The Green Mantis Squad has the mantis which comes from the nature of bugs, the captain is a lively blood thirsty man and Sekke is jealous of Asta. 

Aqua = Emotional balance, friendship, good luck Rill is the youngest captain of the Aqua Deer squad, this color is ironically symbolizes to friendship as Rill befriends Asta on their first meeting while dealing with the betrayal of the former captain of the Purple Orcas. Rill was once emotionally imbalanced young boy.

Coral = Self love, dynamic, invigorating The Coral Peacocks do have a vice captain who is all about self love and invigorates himself with narcissim. The captain, Dorothy, is a dynamic leader after her awaken and she seems to love herself.

Purple = Luxury, ambition, independence Ironically, the color of purple has to do with royalty. Back in the days, only royals were allowed to wear purple. Funny huh. The Purple Orcas have ambition as their vice captain is an independent snob who lives in luxury for he is Royalty.

Kaiser Granvorka, captain of the Purple Orcas (sing that title. You will not regret it.)

Sometimes less is more. I love his design. I love his chill. I love his love of his wife. I love how he stepped up to clean up his trash squad.

Reve

I LOVE the elves and I really wish that they would get some recognition. Did you know that Phantom Knights just calls Reve and Charla “Dorothy (reincarnated)” and “Charlotte (reincarnated)”? They’re different people!! They have NAMES. Why wouldn’t they use their names?? The elves have so much lost potential!

Anyway, Reve is also very chill. A sleepy queen. I have a LOT of headcanons about her. I also have an au where the elves stay after reincarnation and share their bodies with their hosts, and she and Dorothy are best friends and girlfriends and hang out in glamour world together and I love them.

Nebra and Nozel Silva

Listen,,, she’s so pretty,,, I’m gay,,,

But in all seriousness, she’s my favorite Silva. She’s just sort of a mean, sexy lamp in the manga/anime, but she gets slightly more character development in Phantom Knights, where you see that she’s at least an honorable knight who really cares about getting things done right and even goes above and beyond the call of duty; she’s a lot more mature than Solid, and it even seems that she’s more concerned about capabilities than status at some points (much to Solid’s surprise.) That doesn’t mean she won’t go out of her way to make trouble, which is fun. The wiki also suggests she has confidence issues which is super interesting to me. I’d like to see her grow as a character or get like... even a little bit of attention at all besides backing up Nozel and Solid and getting stabbed. I also think her magic is really cool... would love to see her actually use it sometime.

There’s more to her than her pretty, pretty face!! She’s probably my #1 favorite.

1) I love powerful fictional royals in general. 2) I love to write fics where he is embarrassed and vulnerable. Silvas deserve a healthy dose of humility whenever you can give it. He is an easy target with his uptight nature and silly hair. I’d also like him to grow as a character.

Fuegoleon, Mereoleona, and Leopold Vermillion

I am still a simp for powerful fictional royalty, okay? Everyone love the Vermillions. There is nothing I could say here that has not already been said, except that I love writing fics where Fuegoleon gets to be embarrassing and oblivious.

Dorothy Unsworth

She’s so cute and the coolest witch. Love her chaotic energy. Love how she knows things she probably shouldn’t. Always shaking it up. Another sleepy queen. I wish I could sleep all the time and still get my work done. Also since I made her my icon on discord, I have been cheerier.

Charla

I’m so deep in headcanons for this one but see my earlier elf complaint with Reve before continuing. Okay, understand? Charlotte is awesome, but the sheer hilarity of Charla and Charlotte sharing a body is what make Charla so, so good. The LAST thing Charla did before going away forever is SNITCH on Charlotte to her crush. This elf loves drama. She would help Charlotte so, so much, but also make her life a living hell. We stan a queen who can’t mind her own business.

Alecdora Sandler

This man is hilarious. He’s a full grown man ready to throw hands with a 15 year old because William gives him attention. He fell in a hole and had to be saved. Yuno let him declare all his love for William and then obliterated him. It’s so funny. It’s what this asshole deserves. A perfect, satisfying character arc and a hilariously embarrassing personality wins him his place among my faves. I love to hate him so much. I’d like to put a picture of his stupid face in a locket to look at and give me strength in any situation. “At least I’m not this man child,” I would say. A smile would tug at my lips as a single tear ran down my face. “Thank you, Alecdora,” I would whisper, holding his image close to my heart.

My favorites tend to change around with my moods, so maybe on any other given day, you would find Charlotte Roselei, Paplo Espuma, or Kirsch Vermillion (post royal knights exam humbling) on this list. Charlotte is badass, Paplo cute, and Kirsch is funny with cool magic. Also working with Charlotte on my blog, @lawstaverse makes me fond of her, and I have some fun party boy headcanons for Kirsch and the Coral Peacocks. Mimosa Vermillion is also super duper cute. Honestly, Jien Du could even be on here for being accused of being evil and then going “let me clear things up” and then just doing the super villain laugh- also for having rainbow lights flashing around him when he fights. I can hear carameldansen playing in the distance whenever he’s doing stuff.

Now for my favorite couples!

Fuegoleon Vermillion x Nozel Silva

This one is probably #1! They obviously care for and respect each other and a lot of Nozel’s dialogue gets... debatably romantic. I just really enjoy writing them in sort of ‘boys will be boys’ situations, where they can let their guard down around each other and their friends and be stupid and silly. I also love the idea of Fuegoleon being oblivious about how flirty he comes off. Nozel is pining but more in an annoyed way than a sad way. “No homo, bro,” says Fuegoleon, as he kisses Nozel on the lips and gives him a ring after they eat together and wrestle in the woods. Nozel rolls his eyes into the next solar system and admires his new wedding ring. Currently working on a 150k+ word slowburn bisexual disaster Fuegoleon fic with @thespiralgrimoire that involves this ship and the third on this list, along with tiny snippets of others.

Leopold Vermillion x Asta

Leo saw Asta do something cool and said “I’m done being classist. Actually I’m in love with you,” and never looked back. Every single Royal in Asta’s age group being obsessed with him is very very funny. I picture their relationship is much like Nozel and Fuegoleon’s as described above, but they’re BOTH extremely oblivious bros being romantic bros.

Fuegoleon Vermillion x Nebra Silva

Less my fave but still on here bc it’s fun. Nebra is fun, she can push Fuego out of his comfort zone, and also feel comfortable and confident with him. It’s nice. Ngl, anything that gives Nebra a chance to develop her character, whether it be in a friendly or romantic setting, is good.

Nebra is sexy. Fuegoleon is sexy. Together they are super sexy.

Reve x Dorothy Unsworth

I mentioned this briefly earlier, but they finally get someone who can share their world with them! Dorothy was so happy to have Reve in her head, and didn’t even regret being possessed at all. Also, Reve’s chill personality can balance out Dorothy’s excitable and unpredictable one! I think that them both being in dream world, with the magic power to look into each other’s minds(even more than other elf/human cohabitants) means that they can pretty easily become super duper close. They also have a space where they can physically meet. It’s kind of the best of both worlds.

Zara Ideale x Ina’s Father (did he really not get a name???)

There is no way you can convince me that Ina is not Zara and that man’s child. Look at their eyebrows. Rewatch episode 138. You’re lying to me if you tell me you don’t see it.

Nebra Silva x Zora Ideale

🤷🏽‍♀️ Punk and Prep is a fun combo, I like pitch romance, and the more info we get for Nebra, the more likely I see her willing to go vigilante and have a good time working with/ playing around with Zora. They both like to mess with people, Nebra appreciates a job well done, and Zora likes seeing people improve themselves. Nebra would def need to develop a bit for this to work, but I like to believe that would happen.

You know now I’m really thinking about it, what squads would Nebra and Solid be in if they weren’t Silver Eagles? Like instead of Nozel just admitting them, he’s freaked out because he Does Not want the responsibility of having to send his sibs to dangerous situations. My guess is Coral Peacocks for Nebra and Purple Orcas for Solid. Solid would have joined Nebra in the Coral Peacocks but he hated their robe so Nozel went “FINE BRAT” and made adjustments. Not the ones Solid wanted though LMAO

LOVE this because Solid would so easily become the kind of white collar villain that Gueldre was without Nozel breathing down his neck

Solid easily fits in with all the dirty knights in the Purple Orcas, he's having a great time, making a bad name for House Silva, making lots of friends who are bad influences

And then Kaiser takes over and everyone either cleans up their act or gets benched

Personally Kaiser doesn't seem like the type to kick people out unless their behavior was so obviously terrible that he would face no resistance on the decision so I think benching shitty knights and making them do the worst work is how he would handle bad apples. But the Solid types absolutely would not cave to this. They'd either do their terrible things secretly or form some kind of uprising

Solid making life hell for Kaiser I think would be enough to get him disowned, and then hoo boy, he sure isn't going to handle that as well as Noelle did

Sorry I focused on Solid here he could just wreak so much havoc in this scenario I but I would happily blabber about Coral Peacock Nebra if prompted

I’m just gonna go ahead and ask the real question, how close was Nozel to kicking Solid out of his squad? The boy doesn’t do teamwork, he lords his royalness over the senior members of the squad even when Nozel has told him to defer to them, his ability to turn his reports in on time is lacking and he’s far more interested in showing off than contributing to the squad. I can’t even get into Nebra’s psychological torment but at least she knows thing stop being fun when Nozel’s mad

I think about this a lot tbh

It's probably always been a looming threat over Solid's head, but I wonder if Nozel could do it? He worked from Noelle's birth to be a bitch to her, but he's not practiced with being legitimately mean to Solid, even if he deserves it.

It would also have pretty big ramifications if a royal got kicked out of the squad headed by his family. That probably has something to do with it too? Nozel can't put Solid in his place without it being a PR disaster

Probably tries to give him hell but Kaiser’s so unbothered and actually gives Solid advice in return. Then Kaiser becomes the new captain and Solid suddenly realizes the quiet guy he’s been trying to terrorize could have kicked his ass ALL ALONG

Chapter 2

“Oh, Fuegoleon!” Yami happily called the captain of Crimson Lion. The glee in his voice and face is too obvious that everyone knows Yami is looking forward to this.

“Yami Sukehiro, I would appreciate it if you would let things flow smoothly tonight.” Fuegoleon said, respectfully.

Yami laughed, “Why wouldn’t it flow smoothly?”

“Tch, this guy is enjoying this show!” Jack the Ripper said.

“This is not a show…” William quietly told him.

“You all should keep quiet.” Roselei told the captains at the table.

Azure Deer’s captain spoke, “I heard rumors and she came from Coral Peacock.”

“Tch, this sleepy captain…” Yami side glanced over Dorothy, “She doesn’t seem interested that her member came back. Look at her sleeping.”

The door opened and the silver-haired captain appeared. The room went quiet as they all felt the tension around him. His face looked dark that anyone who dared crossed him, they know he will not hesitate to fight. He did not even greet and coldly sat on his seat.

“Silva…” Fuegoleon greeted, but the Crimson Lion captain’s greeting is not reciprocated in any way or form. He was answered in silence.

Yami although was throwing jokes earlier knew better than to peeve the man. He only continued to watch his expression but Nozel is not giving any. If Yami could compare, Nozel looks like a robot in front of him.

Jack and Yami continued throwing banters to each other, with Charlotte telling them to shut up once in a while. If Nozel was in the right state, they all know he would’ve not passed the time to call them commoner and foreigner.

Finally, the door opened. Marx appeared followed by the Magic Emperor. Julius smiled at his captains but his eyes lingered on Nozel Silva for seconds, not making it obvious he looked away quickly.

“My captains, I am so glad to see you all tonight.” Julius gratefully said.

“You summoned us.” Yami stated.

Julius laughed, “Right? You must have all heard the news. It is true. She returned and only did she not come back but she also brought lots of new discoveries and information that can help the Clover Kingdom. I am grateful to her.”

“She needs a squad, right?” Yami asked before smirking, “We are taking her.”

Jack scoffed, “As if I would let you have her.”

“It’s only fair for her to be on the strongest squad in Clover Kingdom.” William joined.

“The strongest girl knight deserves to be on a squad with women.” Charlotte glared.

Fuegoleon stole a glance at Nozel and stood up, “She will be in my squad.”

He needs to get you. This way he could somehow not let you meet Nozel in any way. He could send you in missions or just stay inside the headquarters. Although he knew at the back of his mind that the addition of some likes of you will contribute greatly to his squad.

“It’s her decision, anyway for formality she needs to show her magic to all of you and like during the exam you’ll raise your hand if you want her in your squad. If more than one, then she chooses.” The Magic Emperor explained.

Jack sneered, “I could sleep like this woman here, and I will still raise my hand for her.”

“Compared to Dorothy, she is still aware while you might not be and completely dozed off.” Charlotte retorted.

Julius smiled then shifted to Marx, “Call her now.”

“Yes, Magic Emperor.” Marx went outside immediately, and the longest minutes of tension appeared once again. This time the tension is thicker. The Magic Emperor worriedly eyed Nozel Silva, his face looked dark and cold, and seemed like no one could get past seeing his face.

The door opened and Marx went in with a red-haired woman, your hair ponytailed on your lower nape falling into your chest. The usual look of your combat outfit is very much present. The only thing Yami could see that changed is your eyes. It is the eyes of a person who went through the hardest and deepest of life, like it went through the bottom pit of pain. An eye of a woman that is not just physically stronger than 5 years ago, but a woman who became stronger through her experiences.

Your eyes did not take chances and straightly did not linger to the man you left 5 years ago. You salute to the captains in front of you with respect.

“Y/N… coming back for duty.” You stated.

Yami laughed loudly, as much as you want to clapback at his reaction you hesitated. You only raised an eyebrow at him.

“Still a rule woman that you are, Y/N.” Yami said.

You pouted, “Rules aren’t that bad as you make it out to be, Captain Yami.”

“Nice to see you, Y/N.” Charlotte smiled at you.

“Yeah, thank you.”

“You’re still amazing. Welcome back, Y/N.” William told you.

You grinned, “Nice to see you, Captain William,”

“You’ve grown astoundingly.” Purple Orca’s captain, Kaiser, said.

“Nice to hear those words, Kaiser senpai. I will work hard.” You said.

“Glad to see you, Y/N.” Azure Deer’s captain said.

“I didn’t know you became captain, youngest at that, but I am happy to see you too.”

“It must’ve been nice to be welcome like this, Y/N, but you deserve this. Make sure you go to my squad.” Jack the Ripper told you, creepily normal.

You laughed, “You didn’t change, Captain Jack, but I need to see it to my former Captain.”

“Welcome back. I’m proud of you, Y/N.” Dorothy Unsworth murmured to her sleep, but you knew better. Your heart warmed to her words. She is one of those that encourage you, and did not falter letting you go.

“I’m… I’m back, Captain.” You mumbled. You saw a small smile to her lips before she went back sleeping.

“Nice to see you back here, Y/N. We are all glad that you’ve returned safely.” Fuegoleon said with a smile to you.

“Me too, Captain Fuegoleon.” You grinned.

Everyone froze. You could see it. The tension that temporarily diminished appeared again. He is the last one, and you know that he did not owe you any greeting even as civil.

“It is nice to see you again, Captain Nozel.” You greeted.

He slightly glanced at you, “You too.”

The Magic Emperor laughed to ease the awkward atmosphere.

“Since the greetings are done, let’s proceed with selection of squad. Shall we all?” The Magic Emperor turned and proceeded to go outside the room.

The captains slowly get up to leave the room, but even before they leave you have already decided what squad you want to be in.

“If I will be accepted, I would like not to waste your time. I think I still want to be in my old squad.” You said.

Your captain suddenly woke up with a smile on her face. She sported her famous peace sign, “It’s settled then!”

Different groans echoed in the room. Captain Dorothy gave you a thumbs up. The Magic Emperor acknowledged and accepted it with a smile. He nodded at you then left the room with Marx following.

The other captains slowly leave the room, while some are bickering still. After they all left, you sighed. Nozel is the last one who leaves, letting you watch his back. So much has changed to him, he has gotten so tall and well built.

You waited a little bit before following but became face to face with your former friend, Nebra Silva, and you decided to greet her.

“Nebra…”

“Y/N…” She’s cold.

“It’s nice to see you.” You smiled sadly. You missed her. She’s not the kind and nice type of person but she is good to people she acknowledges.

She looked away, “You too.”

You bit your lower lip. You really want to catch up with her, or talk or maybe reconcile. As you were about to say something, she ran past you.

“Nozel-nii sama!”

The lump in your throat made you gulp. You looked back to your shoulder and you were met by a purple eyed captain, who was watching you. Slowly looking away, you proceeded to your way. You know you have no right to even be looking, moreso talk to him, you owe him to just completely avoid him. And you did.

Something to consider for the Water Flowers au, what if when Nozel runs off to Spade, Dorothy goes with him? She’s probably fresh from the Witches’ Forest at this point with no other strong ties in Clover. Or maybe Nozel meets her on his way up to Spade? Regardless idk what would happen to the Coral Peacock’s captaincy, maybe Nebra? But the squad’s dynamic remains the same because Nebra “will drop into a sound sleep whenever she feels like it” Vermillion can’t be bothered by paperwork
