Yes I drew more of these two. I couldn't help it, they're cute!! This time Chloe & Kitt are planning out their day and enjoying a drink at Spinda's Café. I had a lot of fun trying to match the vibe from the game in my own style~ I also vectorized the entire Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky map for an off angle that is too small to see all of the detail I put into it. Because sometimes brain just does that.

Spiced Leppa Tea

Welcome To The Spinda’s Cafe Christmas Bonanza! Today marks the first in seven days of festive drinks!

Ingredients:

200ml apple juice (I used some farm shop cloudy apple for this to get a more tart apple flavour, but any apple juice will do!)

4 whole cloves

1 cinnamon stick (I used cinnamon sticks so that there wouldn’t be sediment, but cinnamon powder can work too!)

1 tablespoon brown sugar

200ml hot water

Black tea 

(this recipe should serve two!)

Equipment:

Medium saucepan

A mug or heatproof glass of your choice

Sieve

Jug

Method

Method:

Brew your black tea with boiling water to taste

In a saucepan, add your apple juice, cinnamon and cloves

Heat your apple juice mixture until hot and fragrant 

(Optional) Strain your finished apple juice mixture with the sieve to remove your spices. 

Combine your apple juice and black tea in a large jug - add more brown sugar if needed, ensuring it is dissolved

Serve and Enjoy!

Fuegoleon headcanons be upon ye, Laura~!

-Fuegoleon, and the whole Fire Vermillion family, are big on group bathing for the bonding aspect. -He's the type of man to wear just a bit of cologne everyday. Something cheaper for everyday and something more refined for special occasions. -Theresa taught him the egg-cooking trick as a method for training his mana control. -I imagine Fuegoleon as a tea drinker over a coffee drinker. Not opposed to getting coffee with a co-worker or partner though. -Was a little self conscious about the eye markings when he first got them (or they manifest? Still don't know.) He grew into them thankfully. -I dunno what it is but Fuegoleon has the vibes of adjusting his sleeves by bending his arms up, closer to his face, rather than holding them down (if that makes sense). It's such a small detail but I just got the idea... -I'm very on the idea that Salamander uses a fireplace in Fuegoleon's room as its nest. Fuegoleon finds different types of wood to put in to see if Salamander likes one in particular. -If he had an artistic pastime, I'd say it'd be a bit of writing. He's not one for writing full stories, but he sometimes sits down and just writes how he observes a space in great, artistic detail. He's great at describing a setting because he's so observant. -In a slow dance, I think he'd like to twirl his partner. It's a dynamic and fun movement to throw into a dance in his opinion.

Yes! It's a bit like going to sauna in Finland. It's a bonding activity that one does. It feels nice. (And because this is the internet, I feel the need to point out that there's nothing sexual about it.)

Oh definitely, and it blends in with his natural scent so well that it's difficult to notice, but he does wear soemthing each day.

Now this is a good question, because they do manifest, but... Are they there from birth? Or later? Mama Vermillion spill the beans! No but this is a valid way of adjusting them, because you want the sleeves to be covering your arms even when your arms are bent. And usually when people are going about, their arms aren't completely straight all the time. Even while hanging next to your body there's a small bend. Mutual and peer reviewed and approved!

Idk why but I think Sal might like Birch wood smell. But also Birch is a good wood for heating. It's usually preferred, at least in Finland, for burning in fireplaces. In any case, this makes me smile ^^

There's something about this HC that's rotating in my brain. While I don't see him as a storyteller per se, him writing down little lines maybe even poems, does tickle my interest.

Rolled again, ended up with pokemon team for a Mr Jamie Siu! I couldn't decide whether to make him a poison or psychic type specialist, so I figured, why not both?

He's also got a little Spinda companion, but that's more of a pet than a battler.

For the poison team, I went generally with cooler ones, making Roserade his ace since they're both dancers. Dragalge is his oldest mon tho, it was a gift from the dragon brothers who inspired him to fight. Salazzle just has that same flair, Ariados matches his color scheme, and Toxicroak could be a sparring partner. Victreebell is the same shape as that gourd he carries his tea in.

For his Psychic team, I couldn't resist giving him a shiny Grumpig, both to match his dancing and his yellow colors. Swoobat is actually a nod to the monster AU in which he's a vampire, Jynx is another dancer, Malamar doubles up on the dark and psychic dual typing, and Medicham and Gallade just have the ✨️vibes✨️ (also don't try to tell me he wouldnt make a huge show out of mega evolution).

@loafingdragon: I associate you with a couch. Your blog title is one factor and also the vibes of comfort and just... chilling that couches give me. You of course can be serious and critical and man I love it when you intensely dig into things. But most of the time, you're just vibing.

@nothxkas: You know one of those pointer sticks that teachers use to point to things on a board/screen? I associate you with that. You can go on and on about topics that you're passionate about, like giving an intense lecture (but one I have to read). I don't always respond to the things you say but your mini essays have left such an impression on me.

@thoughtfullyrainynightmare: I associate you with a bookmark. Now I can't physically bookmark your work as I read it but I sorta digitally bookmark by keeping a reblog of your new chapters in my drafts so I remember to read them. I also associate you with knowledge and patience (it takes time to read a book and you take your time with people, don't you ever feel rushed). Also, bookmarks can be simple or fancy and you can either do sweet little oneshots or long, poetic tales of love and strife!

@simpingforthisonedeer: A desk. You are a researcher and a writer and an artist and all those things require desk space! Also, you're not afraid to get serious and put your foot down with people and it gives me the image of being sat across a desk from, like, the principal. You're stern but ultimately well-meaning.

@lyranova: A full tea set. Like CotF with its many families and mysteries, so too does a tea set also have multiple parts to it. Tea sets also make me think of sharing tea with friends. We're not exactly sharing tea when we chat, just next gen oc interaction ideas though.

@marune2: An inkwell. Old timey but gives a vibe of intelligence. Your main ocs (Heinrich and Ida) are intelligent. Also, I get the feeling that you're a fast reader which I tend to associate with intelligence (which probably isn't how intelligence actually works but I'm gonna roll with it). Also, most of your art is in black and white (but when you draw in color that art rocks so hard, seriously! 😍👏💖 I'll stop gushing like a fangirl, sorry./lh), so like black ink on white paper.

@faewraithsworld: A mirror. By sheer coincidence, our ocs and their arcs with their s/os parallel each other. But that's only one reason why I associate you with a mirror. The association also comes with the fact that mirrors can be polished to a shine and you have a bright, shiny personality! Also, mirrors are somewhat associated with beauty and I got the chance to hear your voice once and, well, I thought it was pretty in a welcoming and homey way.

@sailor-muno: A newer mutual so maybe tagging you will help break the ice some more but anyways, Bel, you are a journal. A journal to fill with notes and thoughts and maybe doodles. Full of potential for creativity. Also. Lots and lots and lots of words! You have so much to say, Bel! Also, paper. Muse List and the Bellevue Universe

Dr. Fable

Plague doctor, physician, beloved in Bellevue Sanitarium by test sub- We mean, patients. Francis Fable Crowell is patient, calm, polite and always happy to see his patients. He not only works with plague cases, but he also specializes in hypnotism to calm the stressed out mind. Whatever plagues both in body and in mind, he will help find a cure. He also makes remedies and potions to help those who are ill. If he adds rainbow sprinkles to your medicine, please just listen to the good doctor and go along with it.

Dr. Sable

Plague doctor, surgeon, Fable’s twin sister. Penelope Sable Crowell is a little more aggressive when it comes to treatment, not as patient as her twin brother, but she’s amazing in her line of work, which is body modification. It ranges from flesh to mechanical body parts. If you want a heart transplant, she can do that. Missing an arm? Here’s a new one! Though, it might end up having scales, or be a tentacle. In that case, don’t be surprised, frightened, disappointed or all of the above when you wake up and your arm is more flexible than the rest of your body and you’re producing steam from your ears.

Judge Jeeves

Jeeves, like in his title, is a judge - a judge for the newly departed. He takes the form of a skeleton with two white glowing orbs in his sockets, giving the impression they're his eyes. Dressed like a traditional judge, he wears a black robe and a powered wig, the wig being tied back with a blue ribbon. He's professional and does his work as thoroughly and accurately as he possibly can. His beloved pet and loyal companion, Cherry Blossom, is a orchid mantis the size of a large dog. The only time he ever shows affection is towards her.

Grim & Scythe

The Grim Reaper, also known as the Angel of Death, is not what you'd expect him to be. He is rather short, merely standing at 4 feet, and his temper is just as short as his height. He drinks heavily, but not what humans call alcohol. In the Afterlife, an angel's type of poison is called spirits, which is just another word for alcohol anyway. It has the same affect on angels.

His companion Scythe is, well, a scythe. It's sentient and can speak and move freely on its own, but it relies on Grim to do his job and reap souls of the newly departed. Since Grim is always getting drunk, Scythe has to scold him on a regular basis and push him to take his job more seriously. The two bicker a lot, but don't let that fool you. They're inseparable.

Doctor

A former plague doctor, he still holds the name to hide his identity. After the death of his ill-fallen mother, and after years of studying healing, he found a new fascination with not only alchemy, but the arts of dark magic. He started using his own patients as test subjects to discover things no one has explored before. After retiring his physician position, he continued his research and his obsessiveness lead him to modifying his own body using a mixture of alchemy and dark magicks, so he can prolong his life to discover more hidden secrets of the universe. Inventing artificial immortality lead to some dire consequences, like garnering the attention of the gods. Dr. Fable and Dr. Sable, the gods' pawns and children, were sent out to hunt down Doctor and bring him back to Bellevue Sanitarium in the Afterlife to study his modified body.

Knock Knock

A patient in Bellevue Sanitarium, also known as S-011, is an anomaly that crawled out of the Void. The twins have not been able to figure out how exactly he came to be, but Subject 11 takes a human-like form made completely out of a dark matter. He looks exactly how humans would describe seeing a shadow person at the corner of their eye. However, Subject 11 has donned a blank, white mask to give himself a more unique look, or - in Dr. Fable's notes - it is said that it's how he can make himself more recognizable to creatures that "live in the light".

He's extremely flexible and is considered an acrobat. His stealth is as deadly as his bloodlust. His movements are so silent that it's as if he's not part of this world. Other patients with a keen sense of smell claimed that Subject 11 has no smell on him. He is mute, but understands English and other languages quite well. When asked for his name, he simply responds by knocking twice on a surface. Hence, he's been coined as Knock Knock.
