Why in the chorus of sheep bleating about Trump’s rights and Hillary Clinton this and weaponization that, are virtually ALL the dissenting voices… Republicans? Where are the Democrats? Where are the Democrats talking about the grave risk Trump was and is to National Security? Where are the Democrats demanding that he will be president again only over their dead bodies? Where are the Democrats saying no matter how this trial turns out, Trump definitely put American troops at risk for the sake of his ego, and he may have gotten American troops KILLED, and he may STILL get American troops KILLED? Where is the outrage?
Axios reports the Democratic National Committee asked Democrats in the Committee to no-comment the indictment. The PRESIDENT is no-commenting the indictment. The entire hierarchy of the Democratic Party is staying off-stage because of some kind of nonsensical, 1975-notion that to speak out against Trump’s criminality and treachery and treason is to somehow grasp a third rail, that because if you speak up for truth and honesty and Americanism and you are a politician you have somehow POLITICIZED truth and honesty and Americanism. Mr. President, House Democrats, Senate Democrats, we elected you to stand up for the rule of law, against Trump. Proclaim it and exult in it. Your silence will be mistaken for weakness. Kick him when he's down - and sing the anthem while you do it.

CHRIS LICHT CENSORS, BULLIES CNN INTERNAL CRITIC - 5.13.23
SPECIAL COMMENT: CNN's amoral anti-journalistic thug chairman Chris Licht reportedly called the network's only internal on-the-record critic of its telecast of the Trump Nuremberg rally into his office and with at least three other senior executives present, "Put The Fear Of God" into media reporter Oliver Darcy. Additional reporting indicates Licht and CNN manipulated crowd reaction at the "Town Hall" site by telling the audience how it could and could not react. Trump reportedly agreed to do the CNN event because it knew it could manipulate moderator Kaitlan Collins.
The numbers don't lie: CNN primetime ratings drop 8% from pre-Trump levels. And Anderson Cooper's snide "living in a silo" remark is disproved by data: Since 2010 CNN has mentioned Trump supporters twice as much as those of all other presidential nominees and presidents combined. And Anderson is boiled alive by his friend and former CNN colleague Sunny Hostin on "The View": she says he's gaslighting us - and she's right.
And most importantly: The decisions and the deciders who inflicted upon us the Trump Town Hall reflected journalistic malpractice and citizenship betrayal. Anderson Cooper’s maudlin and condescending attack on his own audience, and the silence of Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper and Erin Burnett and ALL of CNN’s reporters and commentators are MORAL failings.
Ladies and gentlemen of CNN, do you STAND for anything? Does the organization MEAN anything to you? I wasn’t there on Day One but I WAS there at the end of YEAR ONE and I’m damn proud of it, and I grieve what Chris Licht has done by prostituting it. YOU are the ones, Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, Erin Burnett, even Anderson Cooper up there on your high horse, YOU are the ones keeping the original noble idea – news unrestrained by the need to put on ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ at 8 PM, while making money – YOU are the ones charged by history, and your own ambitions and principals, with PROTECTING the idea of CNN, and in a broader sense, with PROTECTING journalism and in a broader sense STILL, with protecting DEMOCRACY. Are you going to DO it? Are you going to RISK something? Have you really all been working there for decades and NOT yet made enough money for the rest of your lives? Is there ANYONE at CNN willing to place their craft and their responsibility ahead of their paycheck, or… nah, let’s just let the media critic do it, by himself. …… Shouldn’t you go in there WITH him and say enough? Because guess what? Staying out of the fray and protecting your paycheck may work short term. May work for years. Or then again, it may not. There are a lot of ambitious anchors without any standards out there. Maybe it’d be better if you took a risk now in defense of, you know, the United States of America – even if Chris Licht DID get you fired. I mean which would you rather HAVE on your tombstone? I got fired because I protested when my network’s new paste-easting boss Chris Licht sold us out to Donald Trump? Or I got fired because they wanted to expand Kaitlan Collins Tonight… to FIVE HOURS?

Trump is Losing It....And It Is Getting More and More Obvious
Donald Trump’s brain is clearly deteriorating and he makes no sense with much of what he says. The news media tries to ignore the obvious…Trump is slipping into dementia! The evidence is there!

This is an American politics/news and sports podcast run by one of the founding team members of MSNBC. This man is not my favorite person, and he can come across as a bit elitist (it’s an act and you see him let the mask down here and there) biased toward the far left, and hyperbolic, but in this episode he gives you a timeline of the Russian collusion scheme. Please send it to everyone you know. This is important.
The timeline is very good at stitching up all the odd events of the last 7 years. It contains an explanation of Trump as President.

Meanwhile, seven years ago on the bookface....
Periodically, some wag will pen yet another epistle against how people curate their own echo chambers on social media - citing the unfriending or unfollowing of people with different views on the bookface, most commonly, or, for the less social-media savvy, decrying the splintering of cable news into slanted offerings.
The latter criticism, I agree with - news should be presented with as little inflection and as much context as possible, so that viewers and consumers can draw their own conclusions and perform their own analysis, not be spoon-fed some pre-digested opinion like so many baby birds gulping down gizzard emissions. (I say this, not as some kind of pure and unbiased scion of journalistic objectivity, by the way - I enjoy the occasional episode of The Daily Show, used to tune into Keith Olbermann’s “Countdown” for a nightly dose of righteous indignation and schadenfreude, would happily body-check anyone who gives Rachel Maddow a hard time, and who finds the Fox News Channel odious); I am subjected to eight or so hours of mercifully-muted CNN coverage on a monitor at my workplace, and it’s a case study in how not to provide depth and insight. My preferred information source is the ecru wallpaper of American broadcast journalism, NPR.
As to the former, I think that it misses the point - people are not, generally, on social media for the primary purpose of being news consumers, necessarily - many of us use it as an escape, a sanctuary, a half-step away from the nine million stressors and flavors of shit the world throws at us constantly; having boundaries and self-selected safe spaces is a self-defense mechanism, and nobody should be made to feel bad for having them.
People can, and should, have a place where comfortable agreeableness is the rule, rather than the exception.

THE HINDENBURG DISASTER OF TV NEWS - 5.11.23
EPISODE 199:
COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN
A-BLOCK (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT: All mainstream American news organizations must today solemnly and unflinchingly look inward after what happened last night and understand that if you simply assume as CNN did that if you apply the journalistic rules of 20, 50, or 150 years ago to a candidate who will speak any lie, who will slander any person, who will manipulate any fear, who will betray any and all aspects of democracy, you will inherit the wind. CNN handed over 70 minutes of its primetime, and all of its remaining credibility, to a madman, to a criminal, to a liar, to a would-be dictator. It gave him an audience of braying cult members who gave him not one critical nor even less-than-fawning question. It gave him a moderator whom he ignored, mocked, insulted, lied to, lied about, and who in turn thought everything would be fine if she simply responded to his lies by saying “no you’re wrong.”
CNN must fire its CEO Chris Licht for birthing a journalistic abomination unprecedented in American television history last night; Its new owners must sell the network whose brand they irreparably damaged last night. E. Jean Carroll needs to sue Donald Trump for the new defamatory comments he made about he last night; And moderator Kaitlan Collins needs to sue her agent for ending her career last night.
Last night, CNN legitimized the lies and the feral venom of Donald Trump. And for whatever shamed remorse might leak out of that organization today and in the days ahead; for whatever sober self-reflection might be done at the New York Times or The Washington Post or the other outlets who may have now seen what happens when you apply the laws of honest journalism in a democracy to a man who will not and cannot even consider honesty or democracy; for whether or not some editor really stopped someone writing “Trump lied to and abused America for 70 minutes last night; here’s why that’s bad news for Joe Biden”… for whatever regret felt, or lesson learned.. there will be others who will look at the ratings as they come out later today and say “Did you see those numbers? We need to do one of those right away!”
It was a disaster from start to finish.
And the bottom line is: CNN as a credible news organization, as the FIRST credible full-time American television all-news organization - THAT'S what's finished.

Olbermann: Putin Must Pay A Price
In 2021, President Biden had warned Putin of ‘devastating’ fallout if activist Navalny dies in jail. https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/16/politics/alexey-navalny-biden-putin-geneva/index.html Show us you meant it, Joe. Keith Olbermann explains how Biden should respond: Putin must pay a price for killing Alexei Navalny. “Start with the transfer of the $300 billion in Russian assets seized after the…

All About Amy Robach Net Worth
An American news reporter named Amy Robach is worth $20 million. Amy's ex-husband Andrew Shue, a professional actor who went on to become a very successful internet entrepreneur, is responsible for a portion of her wealth. American television reporter Amy Robach has worked primarily for ABC News and has appeared on programs like "Good Morning America." and "20/20." The creator of Cafemom.com, a website aimed towards mothers and women, is Andrew Shue. It has occasionally been among the most popular female-focused websites online. Eventually, Cafemom changed into Cafe Media, which is now among the biggest and most prosperous online ad representation companies.
Career
Robach started working in broadcast journalism in 1995 at the Charleston, South Carolina, television station WCBD. She stayed there until 1999, when she moved to Washington, D.C., to work for WTTG. Then, in 2003, she relocated to MSNBC, where she worked for four years. She was able to start anchoring at this period and occasionally stepped in for guests on programs like "Morning Joe," "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," and "Weekend Today."  She was appointed "Weekend Today's" official co-anchor in 2007. She stayed in that position up until May 2012, when she declared she was heading to ABC News.
Robach made appearances as a correspondent on "Good Morning America" before joining ABC News. It was revealed that she would take over as the show's anchor in March 2014. She stayed in that position up until 2018, when she changed to co-anchor 20/20. The two-hour Friday night program, which was viewed as a rival to "Dateline NBC," contained true crime tales, human interest stories, and longer investigative pieces.
Robach began to host "Pandemic: What You Need to Know" on ABC in March 2020. The daytime program, which took the place of the "Strahan, Sara & Keke" show, concentrated on the coronavirus pandemic in the US.
The network eventually chose to switch the program to "GMA3: What You Need to Know," that covered a wider range of topics as the pandemic lost its news value. Robach continued to host the program.
In 1996, Robach wed Tim McIntosh. Before deciding to end their 12-year marriage, the pair filed for separation in 2008. Two daughters were born to them during their marriage: The first daughter, Ava was born in 2002, and the second daughter, Analise, was born in 2006.
Early life
Robach made an engagement announcement a year after her divorce to artist Andrew Shue, a former star of "Melrose Place." The previous year, the two had connected at a book party. In 2010, the pair got hitched at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers by the Hudson River in New York City on Robach's 37th birthday. For more details visit: https://networthpost.org/amy-robach-net-worth/
