RED FLAMES ON FIRE! *to the tune of Gala's Freed From Desire*🔥
6 - 1 in the first WEUROQUALIFIER2021 was a very good result! And a hattrick for no. 11 too!
Croatia your defense - especially your captain in the no. 10 - was tough as nails. So props to you too.
Quick sidenote: To the girl directly in front of me who yelled "amateurs" to the Croatians who got either winded from a collision or the one who got stretched off, you were annoying as hell.

there's something incredibly warm and special about international football. club football may be spectacular but it will never have the same vibe

The Netherlands Women’s NT and Croatia NT have the exact same chaotic, big dick, “make you fall in love with me” energy and nothing will convince me otherwise.

Euro 2020 becomes Euro 2021.
This means we have 2 Euro tournaments, men and women, how good is that?
I already imagine Croatia nt and Italy wnt lifting the trophy on the same podium 😍😍

4, 6, 9 💗
4. A team that surprised you in recent years (negative way or positive way)
Alexa play Ajax vs Tottenham UCL Semifinal highlights (seeing those two go this far in my first full ucl season was both a blessing and a curse bc the bar is on 50th floor now and nothing short of it entertains me)
6. The thing you dislike the most about your club or NT
Croatia NT/ Poland WNT - underperforming without key players; entire team relies on 2-3 people
Poland MNT - I don't really feel any connection with them + I freaking fell asleep watching them last time
Spurs - I hate to say it bc I love familiar faces but the stagnation in transfers in recent years really didn't do anything good for the club
my hometown team - we went bankrupt 6 years ago and it's only getting w o r s e and nobody from the outside really knows why. we change players, coaches, management boards and everything is still as bad as possible. also, hooligans destroying the image of football in general
Real Madrid - before I got to like individuals it was hard for me to stan an almost continuously succesful team. Maybe it's because my other teams are sometimes absolute disgraces for this sport so I'm kinda addicted to the underdog high and RM doesn't give me that. We're just... better than anyone else, almost all the time, and I needed a while to get used to that kind if emotion. That's why seeing us struggling a bit in 18/19 and overcoming it was kinda entertaining.
9. The one time football made you so sad you cried for days.
Tumblr media
This was the first day of my holiday, I got up at 3am for early flight, took a couple of half assed naps, watched the game that destroyed me emotionally and then my family decided that hey let's go for a walk :) so I spent the evening trailing behind them with puffy eyes and runny nose and my head somewhere far away in Moscow. And the next day I saw pictures from their return to Zagreb and decided that this is my nt now.
thanks!
