I don't give a damn what anyone says! The shoujo/otome/villainess isekai genre is great and I'm so glad it's getting so much attention! And I really hope they give Raeliana and Doctor Elise full adaptations since both those series are completed. Cuz if they don't,there's really no point. Also,looking forward to more of the ones we’re getting and hope we get more.

Ok so Shrimp is public enemy #1 and I love him. He's the funny little guy you see on your loading screen during the game who you don't think much of until eventually you find an asylum on one of the floors of the Upturned Inn and oops! Shrimp is there! And you need to free him to progress, which Ik is alarmed by even though you can also just tell him you didn't see/free Shrimp. You can put a collar on this little guy to make him look snazzy, despite how little he's with you. On the floors where he's friendly he kind of just follows you around, so you get to have a little buddy for parts of the game! He's basically just your pet dog who may or may not be severely dangerous. And by may or may not I mean a definite yes he is, because he turns aggressive when he gets especially hungry. He can eat the food objects scattered around, though, so that's avoidable! He can also stay with you for nice little elevator rides, which does concern Ik, but it works out! until he starts trying to attack you but if you don't feed your dog then I don't care if it attacks you [additional propaganda 1] [additional propaganda 2]

one of the books i finished in dec 2022 and forgot to post about! i put off reading this for so long because i got a few pages into the first chapter and realized that i just like. lost All patience for Idiot Protagonists who don't realize extremely obvious things. but it's been sitting in my library for so long i figured i might as well power through it for the sake of finishing and getting rid of it

tbf it wasn't as bad as i was dreading, but protag still v much drops the idiot ball left and right. got to see more of the supporting cast here and they're all a lot more interesting than the main cast so it helped alleviate the more frustrating bits. i'll probly keep reading when the new volume comes out, but it's not a high prio or anything

The Prince in His Dark Days: It's been a while since I've read it, but I remember it being a miserable girl who suddenly switches places with a rich guy so that he can live more true to himself. Has a sad tone a lot of the time but a happy ending.

Penguin Revolution: Main character crossdresses so she can be an actor's manager. She's sweet and determined. I don't remember a lot that happens in it though?

Cross-Dressing Villainess Cecilia Sylvie(ongoing): Very beautiful art. Just stunning. Seems like she's developing a reverse harem. Her boobs are too big for her to be wrapping cloth/bandages around her chest without any problems, though. This is a reincarnated into a villainess manga, so it's interesting seeing the limits to what the main character knows about this world compared to what happens.

What I Read in May 2023

This series is still quite fun. ^_^

Yikes, poor Maria... (Mustang you better freaking not have!)

I have at last read a Juliet Marillier book! I enjoyed it, though a lot of the scenes with her cousin were stressful. I loved the different fairytales poking their heads up in different spots in the book as well. Tati just...ugh, she made everything ten times more difficult for everyone in her “oh but I’m in love see me swoon” bullcrap. She needed a swift kick in the rear! Also can we all appreciate how gorgeous this cover is?

Took a bit to get into this one, but once I saw the outline of what was happening I quite enjoyed it. (Also loved that Dirk had to ask a child for final confirmation on his musings. ) ^_^

I’m on the fence with this one, I did like it, but Hazuki is drawn kinda young...so I’ll see how things go in volume 2 (if they play up the nonsense antics or push for more creepy pederasty) and make up my mind.

Have made two recipes so far (Globi and Epityrum) and they were good. ^_^ Looking forward to making more from here.
