More stuff about the super Persona crossover I’ve been yapping about, this time as random tidbits! Putting a linebreak under this one because it’s pretty lengthy…

While in the real world, all the furries take human form. In the Metaverse or highly fused regions, they return to their normal bodies.

In making the initial doc obsolete, the Wild Cards of the story currently are Aigis, Yu, Ren, Flynn, Marco, and Jayce. However, none of them can use their Wild Card abilities save innate perception of the Velvet Room because the rules of the game got screwed hard by three (and counting) separate world’s supernatural things colliding into the Persona world. In exchange, everyone’s got Sub-Persona stuff.

I realized that the plot heavily leans on the Hum being the most disruptive of the otherworld forces and wanted to include the other worlds as well. So I decided that the current specifics are the Hum hijacking Shadows and rumors to make them bleed into the real world, the Parents hijacking the Sea of Souls for future assimilation/experimentation and making themselves at home at the detriment of the memespace already there, and the demon that Jayce sees exploiting the Persona world’s rules to become an actual Demon and gaining power exponentially as a result. Any one alone would be troublesome, but manageable. Together, the world’s on the brink of collapse.

Jayce joins Flynn in having the Crocodile as the equivalent of the Fool. In fact, I was thinking of having all the anthro newbies having the Paul Christian deck. Either that or Thoth. Probably the former.

Each of the worlds now have different summoning methods. For Echo, they have to replicate a symbolic act of sacrifice for their strongest regret and breaking a cycle of some kind (Flynn using a lighter and letting his Persona rage forth from the flames almost scorching him off, TJ tearing apart a rosary, Leo tossing away the anchor band). For Adastra, they have to break out of bindings made of flowers representing their strongest outward emotion (Marco crushing the bloom of a dandelion collar as dual hope and freedom, Alexios shattering wolfsbane manacles). Haven’t figured out what to do for Socially Awkward.

Hikari and Guernica aren’t Persona Users. They’re just that in-tune with the Sea of Souls due to their prior experiences in Enlil’s theatre and Jerri’s world respectively, as well as being artists really dedicated to their craft.

Sophia managed to redevelop the same ability that EMMA had to create Jails. After neutering the power so any Jails she made couldn’t steal Desires and were little more than digital simulations of what a heart’s inner world would be, distorted or otherwise, Ichinose and Sophia sealed this ability away. Of course, eventually they need it to figure out certain things about information being hidden directly in hearts as part of a gambit by Nyarly and Philemon…

The general flow is Investigation Team in Inaba going to Tokyo, finding the Phantom Thieves, then scurrying over to Iwatodai and the Shadow Operatives to deal with an upsurge of Shadows since local space-time was still healing up there before the crash. Then, after a bit of touch-and-go miscommunication and actual communication with Hikari Studios, it’s a worldwide roadtrip.

The fusion of worlds gets bad enough that Morgana can turn into his van form at one point while the Phantom Thieves are left car-less. Surprisingly, despite the weirdness thus far, Carl is the only one who gets surprised by this. Some of the others wonder if Teddie and Koromaru can do the same.

Teddie eventually finds a Shadow mask in his bear fur, marked with his one-of-a-kind Star arcana. Thanks to his development he brushes it aside easily and even shows it off for some funny moments and team exposition, and even proves surprisingly helpful when infiltrating a Shadow nest at one point.

Philemon’s idea of helping is giving the newcomers Personas. Nyarlathotep’s idea of helping is pulling out the Innocent Sin cast for a reboot of the Masked Circle - in his words, “solving a failure with another failure”. He honestly believes that his “help” wouldn’t change the hopeless scenario that came of the disastrous world fusion, and is flabbergasted to see that having a team that knows how to manipulate rumors that come true to their advantage and already mucked with the Sea of Souls once was a perfect counter to the bigger threats.

Contemplating making Meera one of the VN Attendants alongside Sydney. Dunno for Jayce.

Language barrier? Don’t worry, just apply an unhealthy amount of cognitive crossover!

During the compulsory beach episode, Jayce debating with Marco over which athlete is hotter: Maccon, or Akihiko. Maccon is just huge and very huggable, while Akihiko is definitely more stylish and has just as well a lean build as the ex-wrestler’s own bulky build. Chase is trying not to get distracted by either man in question or the other women like Mitsuru around, this being the longest reprieve he’s had from the Sam simulation’s influence.

If this ever got made into a game, I’d want the system to be a weird mix of modern Persona, the Q spinoffs, and the Persona 2 duology. To be more precise, five Persona users in a battle and the Once More system, but with Shift and Q’s Boost instead of Baton Pass. While boosted, it can either be kept as a powered-up state or spent to execute a fusion skill, provided the right skills (or allies!) are in the current loadout. Hitting weaknesses with fusion skills can result in Once More regardless of if the enemy is knocked down or not, and additionally allows you to “chain” fusion skills together if you included a Boosted ally.

Oh boy her design? Let's say she really grew into it. Like the earliest art of her I have is sso ugly I'm sorry Grande but I did not have a handle on that thang. She had such Pug vibes. I think this'll be an interesting post?

This is the beginning of it all. Unfortunately I don't have a super insightful answer to how I came up wi her, bc the Og* angels were literally me going HeeHoo with a pencil. (*Certain specific angels I designed in relative succession to each other before I had a handle on how I want to design angels. The so called Ogs are Lamera, ZZZ, J'aimekiel, Grandefel, Kxxxtr, Ngah and Combfa. Everyone after this was designed a notable amount of time later and with much more "process" to them)

I have some thoughts but it's fuzzy and vague? Okay. So I thought I should definitely do one lion (esque?) at least bc *points at old religious art of angels* and they just have those Vibes to me, ykno? I associate angels with certain things that I try to employ in the story's characters (to an extent). Grandefels vibes were.. Guardian, maybe a tad like a sphynx, just ykno, a huge feline statue like entity who guards something and is like a scary immovable force ig? I wanted some ethereal aspects to it, and lots of teeth (hers aren't visible here but the whole underside of her body opens up to a huge ass mouth with teeth everywhere). Now, initially I was gonna have her hair be lilac but turn bright blue in some situations but I WAAAY preferred the blue on her. She's supposed to have Blue flames mixed with galaxy vibes. Like if blue flames were a puddle and that puddle was a lion's mane. And it was all. Cool and semi-physical

Onto how her design adjusted overtime.

I think most firstly I stopped drawing the grooves on her body that would open up to reveal the Teeth, I mean I do still allude to them vaguely but I figured the way I was doing it at first looked kinda.. Eugh? Another thing I quickly started changing was her hair texture. Originally I wanted it to be completely straight and smooth and flowing but it looked way more interesting and more galaxy esque with it being bubbly and cloudy. I guess my initial thought was that I wanted it to look like it was flowing out of her head? Like some water?

(This anthro drawing also demonstrates the way I nowadays moreso "allude" to her hidden mouth but the anthro version here isn't too close to Canon otherwise since I gave her face an actual normal mouth too lol)

Oh yes, and the crown is another major change!

I think my first notable adjustment was made here (note also the flowy hair). If gotten an amino commission (No money, just amino coins lol) of her and really liked the way the artist drew her crown so I took after that and started slowly changing it. It took me a while to be satisfied with, though. In the very beta version, it was supposed to be like a ring/circle. If you look at the older drawings up there, you can see that one horn is meant to be drawn on the "front" and the other behind. It's like if you looked at her from straight up, you'd see the three dimensionality of it, being more like an actual halo instead of one solid headgarment. I do still really like this idea, however I just think it looks better as it is now. I also had a fair bit of finagling with the side horns, frankly I always found them ugly so I'm finally happy with how they look (just realising I haven't drawn her in a bit, so, the anthro pic is the most accurate to her current design if we ignore the uh.. Anthro-ness lol)

One more thing! You don't see her halo too often in these, but it's intended to be drawn tilted. It's not straight (just like her), and tilts a bit down on one side. In universe this is kinda viewed as an imperfection and she used to be ashamed of it. The irl explanation for it was that it couldn't fit straight between the horns, with the way I'd formed the crown, and so I kept it that her halo just is that way! It fits oddly between her crown and I think that's neat!

Apparently on that last picture I decided to draw the halo straight, though? Cringe... :/

Greetings From a Big Big Kitty

I’ve had this Tumblr blog for a while now. Time to finally make use of it.

My first post will probably just be me telling a bit about myself. First of, yes, I am a furry with a Sumatran tiger as my fursona. It’s a label that I spent years of thinking whether or not I should call myself that, and as a result, be part of the fandom. The thing is, I’ve always liked anthropomorphic animals. Growing up watching animal filled Disney movies allows me to have a high affinity towards them. I also had a huge collection of children’s animal encyclopedia. Why? I honestly have no idea. I was just really into zoology back then. And guess what? My love of it came back on my second year of uni when I did a course on adaptive behaviour of animals. I found out that I loved zoology more than biochemistry, something that I thought I’d be doing instead.

Also, anthropomorphic art and photos of fursuits is something that I also always secretly loved. They would often appear on my old Twitter page and I had to resist the urge to retweet because I don’t want people to think I was a furry. Back then, I just think they were neat.

As you can probably guess, I didn’t want to call myself a furry before. Much of this is attributed towards both the actions done by bad people in the fandom, and the stigma as a consequence of it. If you’re a fur, you’d know that the term “furry” refers to a fandom, and not a fetish, which is often the initial interpretation. And while there are those who do perform sexual acts in relation o the fandom (I don’t really mind as long as everyone involved all CONSENT to it), there are those who have gone off the deep end and...well...actually have a thing for...ferals. News about bad furs abusing animals would often pop-up and that made me reluctant to be part of the fandom. I don’t want people to think that I’m one of “those people.”

I just honestly decide to finally call myself one on the August of 2019, after stumbling across a video by YT-er by the name solarsaber that explained how furries are nothing more people who are into anthro animals, and that there are still many positive people in the fandom. If it weren’t for her, I may not have call myself a furry.

Another fur that also inspired me to be part of the fandom is Dr.Wildlife. Someone RT’d one of her post to my old Twitter timeline of her doing scicomm (short of science communication) whilst fursuiting and it’s honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! As someone who is doing scicomm myself, I believe communicating whilst fursuiting really helps to get audience’s attention. Thanks to her, I decided to join in on the fandom and made a goal to save up for a fursuit and use to make zoology scicomm content on YT. I can always do it without the suit, but I’d like to think that audiences would love to learn about animals, whilst dressing up as one.

Yes! I love science and science communication! That’s the second thing that I want to talk about myself. As mentioned before, I loved zoology as a child, followed by general biology years later. I also loved content creating, despite not being so good at it right now (hopefully that can change in the future). Hence, I decided to mix my love of both and become a science communicator, a field that’s relatively new, but I guess that’s the beauty of it. Everyday we are finding newer and creative ways to talk about science. Coming up with novel ways of doing so is an accomplishment itself. Just look at furry entomologist Entobird livestreaming ant feeding on their Twitch channel!

Right now, I am an biology and psychology undergrad student at Auckland Uni in New Zealand. Fun fact, I’m not actually a Kiwi. I’m Indonesian, and only came to NZ to study my bachelors degree because of how affordable it is compared to other countries. If I was really a Kiwi, I would have my sona be a kea or a kārearea/NZ falcon instead of a tiger. This country has so much amazing bird species, I think I’ll write a post about it someday.

(Fun fact, did you know that keas have similar intelligence to that of great apes?)

Once I’m done with undergrad, I’m hoping I can work for a while before trying out for post-grad. But of course, with the pandemic currently going on (I wrote this in 16/04/20) I’m not sure how that will turn out...

Anyways, I think I’ve written enough for now. Next, I’ll be talking about why I chose a Sumatran tiger to represent myself. Take care, readers, and I’ll see you in the next blog post~

Seeking a partner for a long term sci-fi rp that involves aliens for discord,kik or hangouts

Hello everybody! It’s me Lotoliderden and I’m just your average twenty year old aussie who loves to rp. Recently I’ve been having a few cravings for an rp where the use of the awesome genre of sci-fi with the guarantee of extraterrestrial life forms exists. I’ve got a few ideas that I’ve decided I’ll put down below. Please remember that these are just ideas and we do not have to do them, they’re simply just examples and I’m always open to brainstorming an rp idea with anyone interested. Rp idea one: alien space academy Aliens. Aliens are creatures who come in all different types, shapes and sizes. Some are big, some are small. some are scary while others are just that little bit extraordinary. Aliens didn’t always get along with each other, there were many fights and wars before the leaders of each alien race came together to negotiate a peace treaty. Thanks to the treaty aliens could live amongst one another without fear of a war happening. Not everyone accepted the peace treaty however, there were still some aliens who were more than happy to encourage a fuss. This was one of the struggles of academy life, what you were could determine whether or not you were accepted by everyone else. Rp idea two: royals and forbidden love Y/C is the prince/princess of an alien kingdom and the future ruler. M/C is leader of the royal guard/servant/ or a commoner. Y/C dreams for a life outside the walls of their palace and sneaks off one night for just a little taste of the non royal life. Y/C encounters trouble in the streets and M/C rescues them not knowing who they are. Seeing this as a way of escaping the life Y/C is sick of they start to leave the palace more often in the hopes that M/C will come across them again. What starts as an unexpected friendship between two aliens turns into something more. Rp idea three: I hate you, I love you, I hate that I love you M/C and Y/C had always been rivals. Everyone who’d ever known them knew that. Something had just never clicked between the two of them that allowed M/C and Y/C to even tolerate each other’s presence. When Y/C is the captain of a battleship and M/C is just a regularly crew member working onboard the same ship M/C is furious and does everything they can to disobey orders without putting anyone at risk. When the ship is attacked and Y/C and M/C are the only survivors they realise that in order to survive what’s been thrown at them they need to work together. An uneasy truce is formed which takes an unexpected turn as to grow closer than they ever thought they would. Again, please remember that these are just examples and that we do not have to do them or do them in the exact way they’ve been written. Now before anyone messages me saying their interested I’ve got a few requirements you need to fulfill in order to rp with me. They’re in a list down below. 1: you must be literate, write in the third person, have decent spelling and grammar and give me 5-6 lines per response. No asterisks, one liners, one worders or poorly fleshed out sentences please. 2: no godmodding, Mary Sues, Gary Stu’s,op characters,self inserts, rping as yourself, being overly submissive, being overly dominant, pretending that you know everything about my characters or their species, making carbon copies of my character or one from a fandom, having a character that’s made only of flaws. 3: while I would prefer my partner to be an alien I don’t care if you rp as a human/furry/anthro/alien/ kangawallafox/ etc. 4: you must be 18+ (youngest age I’ll accept is 18). I’m twenty and would get into lots of trouble for rping with a minor. No amount of “oh but I’m legal here.” Or “I’m underage but okay with it.” Will convince me. The same goes for your characters. 5: please make sure this is something you have time for, all too often I get rpers who are willing to rp but then get swamped by work or something else. No it’s not your sole purpose in life to rp with me but if you cannot even have a cup of coffee because you’re so busy then you’re probably too busy to rp. 6: you must be able to reply once or more a day at the very most and once or twice a week at the very least. Any longer than a week without a reply and I’ll assume interest has been lost. 7: if something is wrong never hesitate to message me and talk about it. I’m always happy to listen to my partner and discuss problems and sort them out. 8: please do not message me once then never answer me again. I will not tolerate ghosting.please also message me to let me know if you’re going to be unable to respond for a while so I know you haven’t just left. I don’t want to know why you disappeared for five minutes but I do want to know why you’ve seemingly disappeared off earth yet you’re online. 9: please do not message me asking for a fandom rp or an rp that isn’t sci-fi. I’m not currently looking for fandoms or genres other than sci-fi at the moment. 10: you must be comfortable with dark themes, adult themes and NSFW themes (I do not fade to black). Please also be comfortable with play as/with non human characters/characters with disabilities and characters who are LGBT+. 11: do not control my characters in anyway. How they think/feel/act/see/smell/taste/etc is up to me. I will not accept people controlling my characters or dictating their actions. 12: you must have either discord, kik or hangouts. I will not rp on any other platform. That’s hopefully not too much to ask for. Down below is a list about me. 1: I’m literate, write in the third person and do 5-6 lines at the least and paragraphs at the most. 2: I only rp as male characters but I’m open to same sex pairings. I do not have face claims or pictures of my characters, only descriptions. 3: I like to rp as non human characters but I do not mind rping as a human if my partner has requested it and we’ve discussed an idea that requires human main characters. 4: my characters are all remade, very rarely will I make up a new character for an rp. 5: I live in the eastern Australian time zone. Your Timezone will not be an issue and I’m available almost every hour of the day provided I’m not asleep. 6: I don’t mind romance but it must be slow burn. I do not do faced pace love at first sight and romance and smut are sub plots only. My characters are switches but they’re submissive switches, they will also be less likely to initiate any romance. 7: I love brainstorming ideas with my partner and chatting about non rp related stuff ooc. Ladies and gentlemen we are almost through this mammoth of a post. This last little bit Is about romance. I only do slow burn romance, I do not like rushed or forced romance in anyway. I also only do switch dynamics since I do not like top/bottom dynamics. Please do not force any fetishes on me without asking if I’m okay with them. I have my limits and you must respect those li it’s just like I’ll respect yours. If I’ve expressed being uncomfortable about something please do not push it. KZK Discord Digest [Week of Nov 8 - Nov 14]

SUMMARY: Kat's pushing to get the last 4 LE Kirins done and available by Nov 22. The themes for the final four will be Ragnarok (Destruction), Teknika (Technology), Nova (Creation), and Aeterna (Time). Kat's working on the Teknika LE Kirin (Technology). It'll have some pretty nifty custom parts, animated textures, and body materials (and *maybe* *simple* rigged bodies, for Teknika only, if time allows). The price will be a bit higher than the other LE Kirins due to the amount of new stuff going into this one, probably 1300-1500L. KatLast Monday at 7:02 PM @everyone So as a reminder, the final 4 Kirins will be Ragnarok, The Avatar of Destruction (shown above), Nova, The Avatar of Creation, Aeterna, the Avatar of Time, and Teknika, the Avatar of Technology. Today I've got a quick concept of the Teknika. My goal with this design is to create a lot of assets I can quickly iterate on and reuse pretty generously over the entire model to speed up the process. The more I can get away with using unified textures and models, the easier this'll go. Once finished, the desired result is to provide something that can be tinted for the primary and secondary metal colors(not shown), and the hardlight decorations. The final result won't match this ref 1 to 1, as concepts often are just a guideline, and 3D doesn't always go the way I'd like it to.

the Teknika will come in male and female variants, and will rely almost entirely on texturing the base body. I may provide simple rigged bodies with materials for the teknika only, and those materials will be made available to use on your preferred brand of body.

@everyone (part 2) The goal for the hardlight elements is to also create a unique animated effect for the hexagons, with the desired result to make them pulse from the inside going out, but having this pattern start at the base of the fin and flow out toward the tip. I've been brainstorming this for a while, and it'll be pretty easy with some UV layout trickery and and a simple faded gradient texture mixed with a sliding texture script. Easy stuff! initial setup will be a fun challenge.

Lastly, the Teknika WILL cost more than the others, as its not just a reskin with some little bits thrown on top. Expect somewhere between 1300-1500 fo the teknika while the others will sit at 1000L to match the previous 2 waves of Kirin designs. my goal is to launch the final 4 before the 22 of November.

Cuz guess what, I gotta pay rent now so.. you guys get cool avatars, and I don't get evicted a month and a half into a new lease!... so, win win.

I've added a bot to the server! Dyno's a useful lil bot with some nifty features. Here's a short rundown:

Automod: Dyno's automod functions will help keep spam to a minimum. Even the mods have to sleep sometime, so this peace of mind is nice for us! (Not that there's any spam here - you all are lovely about that!) Self-assignable Roles: You can use the #bot-roles channel to assign yourself roles. Currently, the game roles (Survivor for Ark, Dreamer for Warframe, Hunter for MHW) and some pronoun roles are self-assignable. If you have any ideas for more, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Fun Stuff: You can use #bot-fun to use Dyno's "Fun" commands. There's a link to those commands in the pinned message of that channel. (Bots are fun to play with, but please try to keep command spam to a minimum)
