Pov Antonio

He doesn't understand. Everyone is crying and freaking out, abuela is trying to get everyone to calm down but it's not working. Isa and Luisa had run away from the table, tio not too far behind them. His hermano and hermana are both still sitting at the table but camilo keeps changing into different Mirabel's and Dolores is making funny sounds with her hands over her ears, he wants to giggle at them but everything is so scary right so he doesn't. Mami is storming really bad his papi is trying to calm her down unsuccessfully his friends are running around screeching and breaking everything and he can't get his new friends to listen to him and it's all so overwhelming and he doesn't know what to do.

The answer comes to him quickly, Mira, he has to find Mira, she'll know what to do! Mira always knows what to do! While everyone is distracted he gets up from the table as quickly and quietly as he can and sneaks his way to the nursery, making sure to hide when he sees his tio in the hallway walking back to the dining room with Isa and Luisa. His tio has his arms around them both, which is weird Tio loves his primas but he doesn't usually Walk around with them like that. He shakes his head, he has to find Mira, everyone is so weird right now but Mira will fix it he just knows she will. She's Mira.

A weird noise is coming from the nursery, he couldn't hear it from all the way down the hallway with his mama's storm going so hard but as he gets closer he can hear it, the sound of a baby crying, he walks quickly inside the room walking past the broken door which is hanging onto the doorway from the top hinge.

"Antonio, what are you doing here?" The unexpected voice breaks him away from staring at the broken door. He whips around, finally looking at the room which looks different from the night before, but more importantly he gets a look at who is in the room. Instead of his Mira he sees his tia, his tia who is holding a crying baby, confusion fills him as he stares at his tia, where is Mira? Why is tia holding a baby?

"Tia! Where's Mira?! Everyone is acting weird and yelling a lot and I want Mira to make them stop!" He says this all quickly wanting to find Mira fast so that everyone will stop acting so weird. instead of answering his tia has a weird look on her face, kinda like she smelled something bad. "Tia? What's wrong?" She starts to cry.

Antonio doesn't understand, did he say something wrong?

No but the fact that he was able to just get in without much effort goes to show how chaotic it is 🤕 and then he was just?? Trying to find Mirabel because he believed she could get everyone to chill (which she probs could). Like know Juliet’s probably ain’t wanna cry, but how else was she supposed to react???

And I kind of couldn't find where I left off with the whole rebirth of a miracle Au soooo I had no idea what to do next for it but after thinking about it I have decided that won't stop me and I WILL continue it. sorry in advance for any inconsistencies that might be in this.

Pov Isabela

She doesn't hate her youngest sister. She knows how she acts to her might be telling a different story but she doesn't. She's jealous of her. She can admit that, at least to herself, that she's jealous of her freedom and the fact that she isn't forced into any role (but is that really true? With how she's forced into the background, isn't that a role of some kind?) She knows she shouldn't act the way she does, it's not fair to Mirabel but she can't help it, besides she can make up for it all later. So when she was awoken this morning by her father and not her youngest sister she felt an intense amount of dread pool into her stomach.

Which only got worse when she got to the table to see that, besides her mother and Mirabel, everyone is already there. The feeling of panic starts to build inside of her as she takes her seat. Something happened. She knows that Mirabel would never skip waking them up, it's one of the many little jobs that she's assigned to herself and she has never, not once, been late doing them let alone not doing one of them.

She tries to keep herself calm as she looks around the table at everyone, trying to see if one of them knows what might have happened but all she sees is her own fear and slight panic reflected back at her. Poor Luisa is looking around the entire area, eyes desperately searching, she looks like she's on the verge of tears. Tia Pepa is raining slightly and the wind of her panic is noticeable she's running her hands through her braid and is repeating her mantra over and over again all while her Tio Felix tries to keep her calm, Isabela doesn't think it's working but shes not going to point that out right now. Camilo and Antonio have identical confused and scared expressions on their faces it would be funny in a different circumstance. Dolores just looks.... Confused.... That makes Isabela calm slightly because if Dolores is just confused, then maybe they're all just overreacting, maybe last night was just a bit much for Mirabel and mama is with her to make her feel better.

Yes that has to be it! Her youngest sister isn't gone, she hasn't disappeared, nothing has changed, nothing has happened, she's just in the nursery with Mama. She takes a breath of relief feeling a little silly for thinking that Mirabel would... That's she.... Yes she was being silly.

The sound of abuela clearing her throat snaps her out of her thoughts, everyone's eyes snap to abuela waiting to hear what she has to say. It's when she looks at abuela that the little amount of relief that she gained disappears entirely. The look on Abuela's face is not one she has ever seen on her before (or maybe she has...maybe it's been 10 years since she's seen it and she just doesn't remember) before she can get too lost in her thoughts her abuela speaks

"Buenos dias mi familia." Abuela pauses as they all greet her back before taking a deep breath "As you all can see Mirabel and julieta are not at the table right now, they're in the nursery at the moment because .... sometime during the night Casita decided to.... Turn Mirable into a baby." Chaos erupts as she finishes speaking. Absolute chaos.

The storm is intense and forms immediately, animals are running around screeching and breaking everything they see, Camilo's form changes from changing into all kinds of Mirables. Dolores is sitting at her seat hands on her head over her ears squeaking repeatedly. Luisa is sobbing loudly and with her full body. Plants of any and all kinds erupt all around her, not that she notices.

Because what? What did abuela just say? No, no way. There is no way. Before she even knows it she's running to the nursery barely registering the yell that follows her, kind of sounds like abuela. She can't stop herself, she has to see because there's no way. No way in hell. She can hear feet following her and by the way that the ground shakes she knows immediately who it is, Luisa.

She reaches the nursery door and slams into it with her whole body, putting way too much force behind it, and almost rips the door off the hinges as she accidentally breaks it down, she falls forward landing hard on her front. The sound of a wailing baby reaches her ears and She scrambles to get up.

Sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the room right next to the window is her mama. And cradled in her arms is a wailing baby, a frighteningly familiar wailing baby, the memories might be faded but she remembers what her youngest sister looks like as a baby, she'd been one of the first people to meet her, something that she used to tease everyone else with.

No, no please no. This can't be happening. It's a nightmare. It must be. It HAS to be. She wants to wake up now. Please let her wake up now. If she does wake up right now, no matter what time it is she'll go to the REAL Mirable and tell her how sorry she is. For everything. She'll get down on her knees and beg for forgiveness for being such a terrible sister, something she should have done a long time ago. Please please let this not be real.

She feels a hand on her shoulder and jerks away from it taking a step forward towards her Mama and the wailing nightmare baby only for the hand to come back and pull her backwards she turns to see who it is and comes face to face with her papa. He shakes his head at her and mouths 'not yet' pulling her backwards again, pulling her out of the room and into the hallway she struggles against him needing to go to her mama. She sees Luisa in the corner of her eye standing to the side of the doorway looking into the room tears streaming down her face nonstop. That causes her to stop her struggle.

Her papa guides her further down the hallway, grabbing Luisa's arm gently as they pass her to get her to follow him as well. She barely registers any of that her thoughts consumed by one thing.

She'll never be able to make up for what shes done.

Regardless. This is so radical. I mean home girl woke up,and found out bout what? 10 minutes later? That her youngest sister was a baby. AND SHE SAW IT FIRST FOR HERSELF 🫣 But at least she was remorseful?? Took all that but hey, it worked. Baby steps people,baby steps (pun entirely intended).

Thank God Agustín was there, cause with the way Mirabel reacted to Alma, God knows how she woulda reacted to Isabela 🌚

How do react to that 😮‍💨 and never say never‼️‼️‼️ clwarly they were given another chance fora reason, but maybe she’s too in shock to realize that 🤠

Oh my gosh

In your Cocooned au, what if something happens where the adults have to relive the trauma of Casita's collapse? Like, maybe someone received a negative vision from Bruno a long time ago (like before he went into the walls long time ago) and maybe after hearing about what happened with the kids and eventually Manuel they decide the magic of the miracle is nothing but trouble and tries to destroy the candle, Casita goes crazy and Mirabel (being the precious thing she is and also the next candle holder) ends up scaling Casita's wall to get to the candle first and the five other kids start following her, so everyone is trying to get the candle just like they did when Casita collapsed, combined with Casita's frantic attempts to keep the perpetrator away it's all just too much for the adults, too similar, especially with the kids being so young and yet high up, the adults just panic, they are probably screaming to just leave the candle and get out of the house, just like before. Of course everything is fine in the end, Mirabel gets to the Candle and Casita practically throws the intruder out, but all the adults are now in tears, when the kids try to console them, saying everything is fine and the miracle is safe, Mirabel even presenting the candle to Abuela, Alma basically shoves the candle aside and says point-blank "who cares about the miracle, you could've died!" kids are still confused but understand that the person breaking into the house was dangerous, that and the six of them climbed up Casita while it was going crazy. The adults explain that saving the magic isn't worth the kids being in danger, they'd rather give up the miracle then have the kids in harm's way, and besides "the miracle is you, not some gift, just you" the family probably spends the rest of the day trying to calm down, with the adults every now and again checking the walls for cracks, Casita also finds a way to communicate an apology for going crazy and reminding the adults of the collapse, but the adults are quick to forgive, they know the house was just trying to protect the kids, and Casita makes it VERY clear it was protecting the family, not the magic, and what happens to whoever was dumb enough to try this? Either banishment, de-aging, or Casita threw them so hard they just died on impact (in the later's case, Casita makes it clear they did not intend to kill then, but also did not feel guity about it)

Bro 😭 Alma is struggling to understand what went wrong. Like she was doing so goof and her family was healing so. Why in the WORLD was this happening all over again. Why was she reliving this nightmare???? All the adults are. Not able to cope with what's happening. They literally have PTSD and just start freaking out and screaming or blue screening and staring in shock.

You know what would make this worse (for Alma)? If Pedro runs in after the kids trying to save them and ends up getting hurt. On his chest. And he's pretty fine, but there's a big blood stain right where his scar is and frankly Alma just bout passes out <\\\3

Anyway whoever caused all this is. Def gonna get it coming to them. Deaging/second chances is RARE and more than likely banishment for whoever, no parole 🥱

So we were talking about properly caring and teaching infants and toddlers and it make me think of the Deaged Mirabel AU.

So here's a fact, children this age are in what we call the sensory motor stage, where they learn the world around them by touching and sticking objects in their mouths. It's instinctual for them. So no matter what, Mirabel would be continually shoving things down her throat even though she knows what they are.

Another fact about babies: they don't have good fine motor control. Fine motor is the small muscles in your hand. Depending on the age, Mira probably couldn't grip small objects. The smallest thing she could hold would be a spoon if she's almost 2.

Now I'm imagining Mira getting all fussy that she can't feed herself because she can't hold her spoon and someone else has to feed her.

Oh yeah, that is true! I've been caring for children for almost a decade, and babies definitely just shove everything in their mouths. Every. Little. Thing. Doesn't matter if its edible or not either. So Mirabel shoving stuff in her mouth subconsciously is something I can 100% believe. And then the fine motor skills; I sort of noticed it?? But I guess I never really noticed until now. Mirabel would have a lot of trouble moving her hands the way she wants, not only because she's a baby, but also because its been. 15 years since she was last a baby so...

For the deaged baby Mira AU...since they were pregnant roughly the same time and definitely breast feeding the same time...if one of them was sick or very busy with something in the Encanto you know the other sister probably fed the babies right?

So imagine Pepa is holding Mirabel one day and she's hungry and she doesn't know why (right off hand she probably figures it out seconds later as she's eating or something) but she tries to feed from Pepa like she tried to feed from Julieta in that one snippet.

And Antonio is there and wants to know why she keeps doing that as Pepa feeds Mirabel from a bottle. And Mirabel is very very embarrassed to hear how when Cami and her were little the sisters would take turns feeding them. Because while she knew realistically she had fed from her mama like that, she had never thought she had fed from her Tia like that.

Yeah, that would make sense 😭 not surprised if Mirabel did it accide, I mean wasn’t uncommon back then and really isn’t unheard of now.

Deaged au Mira getting really stressed when seeing some cracks because the family still has some stress (Luisa is still overworked,Pepa has to try harder to control her emotions cause she doesn't want to get Mirabel wet or make her sick, and Isabela still doesn't want to marry Mariano but will) and the more stressed out Casita gets, the more upset Mira gets

Honestly??? It would makes sense. She’s obviously trying to save the miracle and it is NOT going the way she planned. At first, it actually seems like the family is more stressed out cause she’s a baby, therefore there’s a lot more present dangers to her. Casita just reacts the way she reacts and she reacts based on the families behavior <\\333 Just a never ending cycle

Remember the baby Alma AU? What if there was a variation where Alma when The candle chose Mirabel as the next holder, her door disappeared because it wasn't her door. The flame grew bright suddenly and the door reappeared, only with Alma on it, looking much younger and no longer labeled as Abuela while the old room changed from Alma holding the candle to Mirabel, putting her at the center of the house and not just that, deaging Alma to age Five. She doesn't have a gift either but the candle has chosen the new healer of the family while also understanding that Alma needs a fresh start but to also see where she went wrong from a new perspective

I think I get what your saying?? If I’m correct, I think this is cool! I wonder how the family would react though, I mean suddenly Alma’s five, and Mirabel is the candleholder now 😭😭 And I assume she doesn’t retain her memories, so now everyone’s even more confused 💀💀 but hey, at least this way, they can ‘raise’ Alma correctly, maybe as Mirabel’s twin (triplets if you count Camilo, cause Lord knows you can’t separate them)
