Maybe I'm going insane, but since I've seen at least two posts about this in the past week, I'm gonna reiterate something I've already made posts on before.

DID, OSDD and all other complex dissociative disorders are what's known as acquired neurodivergence. Meaning, despite not being born with it, your brain is changed because of the disorder. Your brain is altered due to the disorder.

And trauma from being neurodivergent, like from having ADHD, ASD, BPD, Shizospec disorders, personality disorders, OCD, etc., it can be traumatizing enough to cause CDDs. Many, MANY, many, people with CDDs have some other disorder or disability that they grew up with. This is an ableist society we grew up in, many people have trauma surrounding their other disabilities.

So, yes, being a system makes you neurodivergent, that does not mean trauma didn't cause it. How many times do we have to say this. Neurodivergence means you have a mental disorder that alters your brain.

This drives me insane. Its been said again and again, but more people need to see.

secondly, you know that yoongi, during a vlive (i think?), searched for a stream for a soccer game, right? as in, an illegal stream? the man who you claim to support so much LITERALLY did what you're shitting on other people for? so do you think he doesn't have a right to watch that, either? that he's an illegal scumbag who doesn't really support korea? or does your asinine viewpoint only apply to fellow army?

lastly, jimin straight up answered an army on weverse telling them the following:

Seeing SOMEONE going "Yall a bunch of sensitive snowflakes" paraphrased but u get what I mean regarding the recent wanking video issue with Sean and them going 'jfc don't you trust sean" has me going extremely leery towards that person like.. are u srsly going there? first off, please just block the people that you can’t stand. it really helps and often feels like a weight being lifted from your chest. just recently i blocked someone i used to call a friend on all platforms.

Hey, if you think having parts makes you a system, you're wrong. Everyone has parts/functions that help them function.

But its specifically dissociation between parts, that makes you a system.

So, if you had no previous or current dissociation between parts, then you'd be a singlet.

This is why the definitions of "plurality" don't work. Being "plural" doesn't make you a system. Having multiple people in your head doesn't mean you have a dissociative disorder. It can mean schizophrenia or psychosis, it can mean spirits or spirit companions, it can mean you have an internal family system (which is not the same as an actual system), it can mean imaginary friends, it can mean anything. It does not mean you are a system, just because you are plural.

Yes, some plural people are systems, when they experience some form of disconnection from themselves. It can lead to conflicting thoughts, confusion, disconnection and denial. If you've ever felt like you don't know who you are, can't recognize yourself, feel like there's so many versions of you, feel confused in general, feel like you're very blurry, etc. Like, that is what dissociative disorder dissociation is, feeling disconnected/confused from reality or yourself. (its literally DPDR aka depersonalization/derealization).

And yes, there is commonly known dissociation known as zoning out, but that's not necessarily associated with dissociative disorders. The type of dissociation I'm referring to the ones that cause disorders, such as DPDR, dissociative amnesia, and just disconnection between parts. It has to be associated with symptoms. I dissociate because of my ADHD too, because I feel understimulated, that's not a symptom caused by my dissociative disorder, however. A symptom caused by a dissociative disorder would be like "I'm triggered by xyz, so I'm starting to dissociate."

So do you get it now? If you feel or have felt DPDR with a disconnection between parts, then you are a system. If you have no disconnection, confusion or denial of different parts, but you claim to have different people in your head, you're not a system, you're just plural.

And like, being a system doesn't always manifest as seeing "different parts", it can be like, a soothing voice in your head, or intense anger when there was none previously, or feeling like you connect to many different appearances or things, or you've made ocs that you relate to and don't know why. It doesn't have to manifest as a different person, as most of my experience with being a system was extremely lonely, it still sometimes is. Not all systems see themselves as multiple people, not because they don't have alters, but because it's difficult to tell.

Many systems feel like they've made up their alters. Many systems feel like they don't understand where their system came from. Many systems don't know a childhood before trauma, a childhood before systemhood. Many systems feel like nothing bad ever happened to them, because it's too impossible to have ever been a thing. Many systems don't know the full story of why they are a system, many systems just have inklings of why. No system has a normal experience with their dissociative disorder, it always feels weird to them.

So like, plurality and systemhood is different, it can be identical, but from what many people are describing, not everyone who is plural is a system.

Just a little bit of insight from a med student (but honestly anyone who took even just AP Psych should know this). Kohlberg's theory of moral development is a theory for categorizing how people determine and develop their morals. The first stage, in short terms, is sort of like a toddler doing good things because they want people to like them. The second stage is more like this is the law and the law determines what is right and wrong and *that’s it*. Finally, the third stage, and very few people actually understand and reach that stage, is marked by an understanding that contracts (law) are put in place to increase the welfare of both party but often fails. More advanced thinking in this last stage is determine by a higher understanding of human nature, consideration, and individuality in conscience. The most commonly used example is a man stealing medicine for his wife because his wife is dying. If you believe the man was justified as human life is worth more than any amount of money, you can guess where you are in the stages ;). Similarly, a lot of people don’t realize that not everyone *has* the flexibility to be able to pay for *everything* that HYBE puts out. Because there are people, like you, that have the ability to be considerate and empathetic, others who love BTS just as much as those who paid, can also enjoy something in a *still* ongoing pandemic. Basically, these bitches are underdeveloped and scientific monkes who either haven’t fully developed as human beings and never will. Also coming from someone who paid but like understands not everyone can? It’s not?? That??? Difficult???? To wrap your head around??????

I feel terrible because I ALWAYS reblog from artists. Always always always. But it’s not enough. I’m only one person. I can’t force everyone else to reblog. Even if I’m doing my best to support the creators I love, they still end up getting discouraged. And there’s nothing I can do about it.
