Can I say in light of Charlie joking about killing Sunny, it's become so apparent who are new fans to the qsmp and who's been here since the beginning.
There are so many posts like "How could Charlie even suggest being mean to Sunny, that's horrible!" Meanwhile I'm sitting here like "Finally, been waiting for Slime to go on another egg killing spree. It's been months."
Everyone reacts to his saying this like it's the most radical thing ever (I suppose because of the racism - since the 'he' that tied it wrong is a former kidnap victim from Africa) but this is actually a good principle for when you have junior and new members to a working group. I've said literally this - if they got it wrong, we've taught it wrong. James Flint is really, truly, like I can't say how much, a man of after my own heart.
Did you know that there are two alternate deleted endings to the Celes/Seresu arc? Fai gets killed at the end of the arc in the first one and the 2nd one, he is left forever waiting for Kurogane to come back to save him from the magical bubble that he was trapped in as the world was closing. Kurogane tries his whole life to find a way to save him but doesn't succeed. (Clamp mentioned it on Twitter and an old interview.)
That's the exact kind of heart wrenching tragedy I would expect from the older Clamp narratives! The drama of it all!
I for one am very glad they considered those endings but ultimately broke their own pattern and went with a narrative that is all the stronger for it. They've done tragedy enough that breaking the trend is even more impactful, especially in a story like this, and how it adds to the overall theme they've built so far.
what i appreciate a lot about sprite and first is they are 100% the "someone is going to die"/"of fun!" couple except when first says someone, he absolutely means sprite.
There's something so interesting about the setting of the coin flip being done in the chaos room of all places.
Cellbit built all the rooms and let people choose which one they connected with the most. Foolish's connection to chaos might be Cellbit's and his own downfall.
