You had heard this term spoken by the roustabouts and ship hands, and presumed that it was some sort of device. ⠀ ⠀ You know what it means, now, as you hold a piece of flotsam, a wooden plank from the now sunken ship you were on. You, and many of the crew can only watch as the stern of the ship finally is swallowed up by the ocean, taking with it all your worldly possessions and the treasure you'd just acquired.
