it used to be odo but now by far sisko, mainly because the benny russell plotline is my absolute favorite star trek plot ever. is he sisko or benny.... if he ascended to the prophets or whatever did he create benny?? if benny russell was a real author in strange new worlds... what does that mean. "you are the dreamer and the dream" is rotating in my microwave brain constantly. odo is still my emo repressed babygirl though.

i cant think of a character that's necessarily unpopular... maybe lwaxana?? i know she was like a minor villain in tng but i loved her in that ep where she hung out with alexander, and her friendship with odo later on in the show was actually super cute to me. she is a queen idc what tng says. headcanon she's still like alexanders cool aunt and worf is very tired.

also near the end... kai winn?? i do not like her or think she was a good person at all but i did feel bad for her for maybe two seconds near the end. i dont know she spent her life wanting to talk to god only for some alien guy to become emissary so while shes evil and i hate her i kinda have pity for her so shes my meow meow idk

I'm having a real hard time with this Kai Winn x Gul Dukat romance/team-up in the final story arc...

It's the absolute worst and I genuinely feel a little sick every time they're in a scene together. 🤢

honestly dukat should’ve been written out of the show after that episode where he’s stranded with sisko. his subplot with the pah’wraiths in s7 is literally one of the worst things in the show. like, the later seasons of ds9 have been steadily building up to the dominion war and now that we’re at it’s climax we keep cutting away to dukat/kai winn’s stupid research sessions that have very little to do with the main plot. they bring the pacing to a halt and, added to that dumb exri x julian x worf thing, they make it so that the main characters have very little to do in the final part of your show

I feel so bad for that ending but I had to do it. I really couldn’t think of a better way to end it considering what was going to happen after Strange Bedfellows. But also, I really wanted to write a telepathic conversation, or at least part of one.

Am I evil? Yes. Did I follow through on my foreshadowing? Yes. Do I regret not being able to write the follow up to this for two weeks? No because I still don’t know what I’m going to do with her after she leaves. There’s so many times she could come back. So many places to go and things to do. Should she stop Dukat and Winn? Should she find a better antiviral than what Bashir had on hand at the time and give it to Odo? She does have all those lovely extra markings I need to tease in the Weyoun 6 fic. I wonder what I could do with those….. hmmmm. No seriously please tell me because I don’t know what to do with them I’m over a barrel between a rock and a hard place.

On one hand, she could totally go after D&W and try to fulfill her own goals or be assigned to do that. She could be assigned to stay on Earth and work there permanently. She could also go straight up balls to the wall and destroy some Jem’Hadar. And the thing is, I want all of them simultaneously!!! Writing is hard😭😭😭

That Melody x Soven fic though 👀👀👀👀👀 I hope I don’t get enterprise brain rot before I finish those two fics. The DVD’s are in at the library may they play perfectly and give me happiness (okay yes I read that while typing in Weyoun’s handing out white voice).

thinking about dukat’s character arc with my tiny little brain. it was initially kind of weird watching the earlier seasons where he’s technically on the same “side” as the main characters, because i didn’t know how the writers felt about him or what they had in mind. i guess it seemed like he was potentially going to keep working with the protagonists out of necessity and over time actually become allied with them and have a redemption arc. which would have been wack. so when he joined the dominion i was kind of relieved and i started enjoying it more when he showed up after that. even though the whole thing where the ds9 crew had to keep interacting with this heinous war criminal because of political circumstances beyond their control, even though they all know he fucking sucks, is actually pretty interesting and i think i would enjoy those episodes more now if i rewatched them.

having finished watching ds9, it’s very enlightening to learn about how his arc was influenced by the fan response because viewers kept trying to excuse what he did and say he’s misunderstood or whatever. so the writers basically had to have a blinking neon sign light up and say “THIS GUY IS EVIL” to get their point across. well, i mean, they could’ve just ignored what people were saying on the internet and done whatever they wanted on their show. (many people would say that this is the wisest course of action, since there will always be people who misinterpret what a work of fiction is saying, no matter what you do.) But they didn’t do that which is how we ended up with Waltz aka the episode where dukat turns into the fucking joker.

i actually enjoyed that episode a lot. it was the first time we saw dukat again after he lost his daughter, which is of course one of the more “humanizing” parts of his story, and then he saves sisko’s life, so for a second i was like “oh no are they trying to redeem him after all” but then the rest of the episode happened and sisko was literally like “the universe is full of moral ambiguity... but not dukat though, fuck that guy.” i mean it’s also pretty dumb because he turns into the fucking joker and you can tell he’s evil because he’s crAZY and having hallucinations and all that shit. but still. i liked that now dukat had been pushed past the breaking point, we got to see beyond the veneer of respectability and all his justifications and apologies. and deep down he really is a piece of shit. 

so basically what i’m saying is i was kinda glad dukat became more “openly evil” as the show went on, because either i’m stupid and don’t know how to understand the message a story is trying to tell me, or i have a completely reasonable skepticism of hollywood writers’ ability to handle the subject of fascism properly. actually i definitely am stupid so maybe it’s both. some people feel that he went from being a three-dimensional villain to a one-dimensional cartoon villain. which maybe he did a little bit, but for one thing it could have been much more egregious. if he had kept being ~crazy~ and ranting about killing all the bajorans in subsequent episodes that would have sucked ass. the thing is, not that much actually changed. not that much needed to change, because he was always evil. evil people can be polite and do good things sometimes and love their families and it doesn’t make them any less evil. we all know this.

now i still wouldn’t say dukat’s storyline post-Waltz is as great as it could’ve been, because it was kind of weird and rushed and they didn’t know what they were doing. i think it would have been better if he had continued being a cult leader for more than one episode and used his position there to find out how to summon the pah wraiths. instead of him becoming a bajoran and having s*x with kai winn and going blind and then going un-blind and all that because that shit was just weird. i have nothing to say about what happened to him at the very end because he basically got sent to superhell and that’s extremely funny

Which ships do you take prompts for?

…so so so many. I’m a raging multi shipper and I’m in a lot of fandoms. It’s probably easier to say what I don’t ship.

*SPN: no Wincest or Samifer or Lucifer x anyone. I tend not to ship villains in general. I prefer a ship with either Dean or Cas or both but I’m open to Sam ships too.

*MDZS: no Xuexiao or really any Xue Yang ships (though I think I’d be okay with Xueyu). No Lancest, Niecest, Wencest, or Jiangcest (Wei Wuxian is NOT their blood relative so that doesn’t count for him.) I’m a little reluctant on most Jin Guangyao ships too tho I’ll do 3zun and variations there on. I tend not to like intergenerational stuff so tend to avoid older folks x juniors but I’ll ship the juniors together and depending on the ship I’d probably be willing to try?

*TGCF: …I kinda don’t get Qiurong but I’d be willing to try? But otherwise I think I’m good. I’d even be willing to do Bai Wuxiang ships as long as it’s understood it’s gonna be dark as fuck. No Xianle cousins as a ship. I think I’d struggle with Qi Rong in general but I’d give it a go. No Shicest. (This is a theme, I’m usually out on incest ships)

*SVSSS: other than family/relatives (like Tiankang jun x Luo Binghe) I can’t really think of any no’s? Im especially a proponent of Shen Qingqiu/Yuan harem rights. I’d rather not write Shen Jiu or Original Luo Binghe but…eh, I’m open.

*2ha: fuck Shi Mei. Not literally of course, but I really ain’t out here shipping Shi Mei with literally fucking anyone. Other than that I think I’m mostly game? Though I don’t remember some of the side characters that well, there were just too many names in that one big reveal about Xue what’s-his-name and Luo something-or-other.

*I’m not writing at all for Harry Potter anymore, because J.K. Rowling.

*DMBJ: I haven’t seen Mystic 9 yet so I don’t know those characters and can’t write for them yet; stick to folks in UN and TLTR and I’m probably good for most stuff? Except Wu Sanxing, and the villains, big ol’ nope.

*Qianqiu: until I reread and get a better sense of the side characters I’m pretty Yanshen only.

*Yuri in Ice: I don’t really like Otayuri, Yuri’s just too young for me to personally be comfortable shipping him. But the older folks I’m pretty open to multishipping them.

*Guardian: I’m pretty Weilan centric, I see Chuguo more familial/brotherly, and I haven’t really thought about other ships but idk try me? It’s fun to experiment.

*Leverage: anyone in the team x anyone else in the team, I’m game,

*Check Please: basically just Zimbits. I’d try other things, especially with Shitty, but no Kent Parson at all please.

*Star Wars: mostly JediStormPilotRose and permutations there of but idk I’d try other just about anything other than villains and LukeLeia. I am not familiar with Clone Wars or the Mandolarian and have only seen the movies (not Solo).

*Star Trek: I’ve never done much shippy writing for Star Trek but I’m certainly open to it. I’ve only written Spirk and McKirk, them as twosome or threesomes is good. I’d ship most of the original bridge crew in whatever configurations, really (note that I’m ToS specific, I’m not really into the new movies). I’ve not written for TNG at all but I think it’d be fun to explore. DS9 I’ve only written Miles/Julian but I’ll ship Julian with basically anyone and again I’d be happy to explore any of the main crew x any of the main crew, they all have such good chemistry I think it’d be fun. No Gul Dukat or Kai Winn. They should suffer alone. No Voyager or later series, I just haven’t seen them so I don’t know the characters.

*MCU: any hero x any other hero, in twos or threes or moresomes. I haven’t seen the last three or four movies (my last was…uh…Black Panther, or was Captain Marvel after that?). I’ve seen none of the TV shows except the first two episodes of Hawkeye. I definitely have a preference for the Captains (all three) and Clint but I’ve written World War 3some, Barbershop Quartet, and others. Also I do ship Thorki. Like I said my incest thing isn’t 100% (when they’re not blood relatives I tend not to care if they were raised together.) Deadpool is also fine but I’ve only seen the first, and I haven’t seen either Venom movie.

*Word of Honor: note I haven’t read TYK yet, but I’m open to virtually anything I guess? I’d prefer no Zhang Chengling x older folks. I favor Caoxiang, Wenzhou and Wenzhouyi.

*Other fandoms I’ll write for (most of which I have written for): Babylon 5, Voltron, Firefly, Gundam W, Psych, One Piece, Sherlock Holmes, Horatio Hornblower, any Jane Austen except Northanger Abbey (only cause I’ve never finished it oops), Love Nikki, Ruruoni Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, Those Years in Quest of Honor Mine, Slayers, Miraculous Ladybug, Doctor Who (9 and 10 era stuff only), Wheel of Time, the Elenium by David Eddings, Xanth, most but not all CLAMP franchises, The Witcher (but I’ve only seen the first six episodes), Slayers, Hercules, Xena…there’s others too. General note that none of this should be seen as judgement. I’m a pro-shipper. You do you and I will support you and cheer you on, I just won’t read it myself and would rather not write it, tho in truth I’ve never yet found the ship I wouldn’t at least try to write if something about the prompt caught my eye. Like, I HAVE written Wincest, and Wincestiel, and Winjimstiel, when the prompt had me interested. The worst thing that happens if you send me something that isn’t my thing is that I won’t write it, but I promise I won’t judge you or go on the rampage or anything. Shipping is awesome. Fandom is fun. I don’t have to like what others like and others don’t have to like what I like and it’s all good.

Second note: many of these fandoms I either never finished because of time and money and/or I haven’t really actively been in for a decade or more so I can’t promise my characterizations will be spot on or that I’ll remember every character.

Tl:dr I will write most things, though I generally avoid incest/blood relative shipping, cross-generational shipping, and shipping villains x the hero they hurt. I also usually don’t like cis-swaps. My AO3 list of fandoms I’ve written for has like 40 fandoms on it, I’ll write for any of them, and there’s stuff not on that list I’d also write. I will write m/m, m/f, f/f, non binary/non gendered/gender queer stuff, and poly. I’m pro-ship and pro-kink, send me whatever you feel like and if I like it, and know the characters, I’ll write it.

Julian Bashir X Reader

Angry Julian. Arguing for the tight Julian. Defying authority because their idiot's and he let's them know that Julian. You loved the man already, but this took the cherry. Of course, when people wound you up with their bill suit you let them know it. Kia Winn was especially aware of this. Dukat also.

Every damn time he did it stirred something within you. Normally, he was an adorable cutiepie whom you adored. But when the man wanted to he could be a sexy and irresistible fireball. And another one of these moments hadn't long passed. 

By now, the entire DS9 crew knew, without a shadow of a doubt, your feelings for him. Garak was painstakingly trying to hint it to Julian all the time, Jadzia was trying to get you to tell him all the time and let'snot even get started on Quark. And Vic! 

When you met Vic, he did that thing and you faceplanted his bar.

"The reason, as I've told you a million times, is because I'm very me. I'm not special, I'm not beautiful and I'm not like other girls. I mean, look at Leeta. And Dax. And bloody Kira. Am I someone who compares with them? No. I'm just me. I'm not good at much. Other than my job and running." You huffed to Vic.

"Oh, come on. You're a doll. Sure you're not like the other girls, you're unique. You're you. You got an amazing heart, I've heard great things about you're security abilities and you're beautiful." He replied.

"Heard things? Hah. I do my job, to protect this station and the people on it." You groaned.

"Most of the time going against the Starfleet rules, I hear." He smirked.

"Sometimes the rules are too restrictive and people deserve protection. I'm not going to leave or turn a cheek just because Starfleet think it's too much or would rather have less trouble from others. Good people deserve help."

"Not to mention the Klingons." He mentioned.

"How do you know about that?"

"Prince Charming." 

"Anyway, you guys need to get off my back." You finalised. 

It wasn't until the Heist that anything happened. Of course, you were still teased. But once you showed up in your dress, a long tight fit dress, slit up the leg, sleeves off the shoulders and sweetheart neckline... his eyes couldn't look anywhere else but you. Of course, you were here to start a fight if needed, so he wasn't expecting this. A gentlemen approached you before you could sit and you were astonished. Julian's eyes tore absolute daggers into his back until the Heist was complete. 

"I take it you guys did good." You laughed, reaching into your skirt and taking out an extendable baton and a replicated gun." That's a fake, of course. Mostly for show."

"Wow. You would have been a good plan B." Vic laughed.

"A fight in a place like this would be hard without the proper equipment." You shrugged.

"No, you look amazing." Miles chuckled." Every man noticed you."

"Drew more attention away from what we were doing." Kassidy smirked.

"Even I must admit you look very pleasant in that dress." Worf added.

"No. She looks magnificent." Julian corrected.

The room silenced, especially you. You didn't no how to react. When the room changed back to Vic's, he went over to sing, whilst the rest of you sat at the bar to listen. At one point Nog nudged you. You frowned at him as he nodded his head for you to look behind you. Julian was looking at you.

"How about a dance to give him a push?" Nog jumped up. You shot back round to face him.

"What?" You asked, being dragged up by Nog. 

"Dance." He sighed, moving you into form.

"Yes, I heard you. I dont know how to dance." You huffed.

"That's alright, I can show you." Julian's voice intercepted.

"Oh, Christ." You murdered.

Julian quickly stole you from Nog and put you into better form and led you in a slow dance to Vic's song. You felt both embarrassed because you had no idea what your were doing, and also because others were watching. You didn't know what to do. 

"I have a small confession to make." Julian finally spoke.

'Oh, yeah?" You replied, gulping down your worry.

"I've been meaning to tell you this for years, but I've been a bit afraid to say anything. But, seeing you tonight, I need you to know how I feel." 

"What is so different about me now than usual?" You frowned.

"You came to a criminal place where men jump at women like you and I'm not going to keep my distance anymore. The longer I act a chicken, the quicker someone else can come in and not be and you're gone." 

"You're forgetting an important problem in that logic." 

"Hardly, I'm genetically enhanced. I can't miss much."

"Pfft. Obviously. But other guys can try, but they won't be you." 

"Changelings?" He said. Then stopped." Hold on."

The first character I first fell in love with: 

I wasn’t actually in love with her, but Jadzia was the character that made me stay with the series.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

Lwaxana Troi. I /hated/ her in next generation, but in ds9 I actually started to really like her. Now she’s my aunt and I shall protecc her with my life

The character everyone else loves that I don’t:

Kira Nerys. She’s okay, but she’s not my favorite.

I’m gonna say Quark. I dunno man, he’s a lovable sleazeball and I wanna hug him and also punch him in the face.The character I used to love but don’t any longer:
