And I mean, his hands. He plays the guitar, his fingers are strong and skilful

Eddie Munson x Gender Neutral! Reader

In the simplest terms, Eddie is a loud person. He’s theatrical, extravagant, all the long intricate words you could think of. A complete 180° difference from you. You were quiet, kept to yourself, and were pretty shy. Yet the two of you were completely attached.

And even though he’s stand on lunch tables, bounce around, scream Mötley Crüe songs during D.A.R.E assemblies, it would all simmer down once you arrived.

There was what was supposed to be a small get together after the DnD and basketball game that Eddie convinced you to join. The music was louder than you would’ve enjoyed, but you happily sat in the corner, watching Robin over-explain something to Steve, his head resting in his hand. Your attention wanders to Eddie who is standing on the coffee table, screaming along to the lyrics of the song playing with Mike. The song finishes and the next one begins, a slower, yet still upbeat one playing. You notice Eddie hop off the table and head towards the kitchen, probably for another drink, and before you know it, he’s plopped himself down next to you on the couch.

“How are you doin’?”

“I’m okay,” you shrug, smiling up at him.

He notices your eyes have a certain look in them. He knows that look. It’s the look you have when you start to feel a bit uneasy and distant. “C’mere, love,” he pulls you up, starting to get you to dance with him.

“No, no! Eds i’m not a dancer you know this,” you complain, but can’t hinder the laugh that comes out.

“You’ve got this, sweetheart, come on,” he shimmies beside you.

It takes a moment before you finally loosen up, bouncing along with him. The worries you had slowly sift away as you realize how kind he was being with you. A smile creeps up your lips as you lean into him, his fingertips tapping happily on your hips. “Yknow,” you place a hand on his shoulder, “You only bring out the best in me, Munson.”

You take notice of the happy noise that escapes his throat as he bounces.

The two of you are taken out of the moment with an “Eddie!” from Robin. You start to head over to the two of them, but Eddie stops you momentarily. “What’s up, Eddie?” you ask

“I’m proud of you,” he presses a soft kiss on your temple before moving back towards Robin and Steve.
