Phoenix takes Miles’ hand in his, and lifts it to gently kiss the ring on Miles’ finger. They both move to share a kiss, and their hands shift to hold one another. Miles’ ring sparkles in the sunlight.

They link their fingers as they kiss, and the morning creates a quiet atmosphere around them.

They part, but remain close, their fingers fully interlocked. Phoenix greets “Good morning,” with a tender, loving expression as he looks at Miles. Miles’ own expression is soft, unguarded, and fixed on Phoenix.

Phoenix and Miles settle back into their shared bed; the morning sun illuminates them. They both smile softly, seeming happy and at peace. Miles rests his head under Phoenix’s neck, and his hand on Phoenix’s chest. One of Phoenix’s hands rests over Miles’ own on his chest, while his other hand holds Miles closer, revealing a matching ring of his own. Both rings shine softly in the sunlight.

ok i'm finally voicing my hater heart over this. the barbie nendoroid kind of sucks. to be fair, i actually really like the version that's inspired by the og barbie design, but i think that's what frustrates me more. her face and earrings and hair are all so cute and of course the iconic, stylish simplicity of her cannot be understated. but then like... why even make the ugly ass gown in the first place? all it serves to do is make the nendoroid even more expensive by adding a premium item that isn't actually worth paying for. the skirt would look better if it was fully black, but the issue is that it was made to add pink to her in the first place. at that point, they really should have just made an entirely separate nendoroid. that way, they wouldn't have had to mix both outfit concepts together. it doesn't work on barbie's modern packaging, and it's not working here.

other than my clothing gripes, honestly, nendoroid faces can be very hit or miss for me. especially on female characters for some reason. i don't really know how to describe it, but if you just look at all of the faces for like... the disney princess nendoroids? you can see what i mean by "miss," and it's a personal preference thing, i just think that they look so bad... something about how gsc tries to translate that femininity just doesn't work for me. the doll faceplate i really don't mind conceptually, it's silly and endearing, but because i'm way too serious about barbie i will say it's a little... dystopian to me that it's modeled after millie. I hate you Millie. Go Away.

anyways i'm going to end up buying her one day. i know this. i'll probably end up displaying her in the original barbie outfit and using the remaining hair and face for a barbie nendoroid doll, i think that'd be cute.

I think that Edgeworth who largely has difficulty getting along with others would really enjoy the freedom of expression/weirdness/selfhood that is inherently packaged with kink (and sex in general, but especially kink). but at the same time he isn’t depicted to be very sexually motivated (unlike even Phoenix). he has no history of relationships that we know of and rejects pretty much anyone who flirts with him. but I don’t think any of this is incompatible with loving sex, even if it’s for reasons other than Sexual Desire. it can be a space to play and heal and be the weird serious haunted doll you were born to be. I think slutting it up could be fun and fulfilling for him even if he isn’t necessarily driven by capital-h Horniness

It’s bunpollo time!! 🐰

Trucy turns Apollo into a bunny on purpose. "It'll be a fun trick", she says. "Don't worry, I know how to turn you back", she says.

She does NOT know how to turn him back.

Apollo spends a week as a bunny. Trucy calls him Bunpollo the whole time. He hates it.

Apollo is furr-ious at first (Trucy thinks it's "super cute" when he angrily stomps his little foot) but eventually he has to accept his furry fate.

He's in the middle of a case, so spending the week in hiding isn't really an option. He does consider living the rest of his life in Trucy's magic hat after Klavier Gavin calls him cute, but Phoenix kindly reminds him that being a bunny is not an excuse to let his client down.

And so he becomes the first ever bunny attorney to defend a client in a murder trial. Trucy even makes him a tiny tie and a doll-sized red vest so that he can show up to court "in style".

The cool attire doesn't help. No one takes him seriously. Klavier calls him Hare Forehead more than once and the judge brings him carrots on the second day.

Eventually they have to postpone the trial until “Mr. Justice stops playing a rabbit and can take this trial seriously”.

Bunpollo’s having the worst time of his life. Things can’t possibly get worse than this!

They do.

That evening Chief Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth joins them to dinner. Apollo finally snaps when Phoenix brings him a bowl of rabbit food and tells him to "enjoy his snack". After unsuccessful attempts from Trucy and Phoenix to calm him down, Mr. Chief Prosecutor himself tries to dissolve the situation. It doesn't work. First Apollo bites Edgeworth in the thumb, then Phoenix.

Apollo is put in a time-out box. The time-out box is put in to a car. They take a looong car ride – during which Phoenix wonders if he needs to go get a tetanus shot or not.

“He’s not a wild animal, Wright.”

“Yeah, so? We don’t know what kind of diseases he’s carrying!”

“STOP TALKING ABOUT ME LIKE I’M NOT HERE!!!”

The car comes to a stop. Someone lifts up the time-out box. Apollo secretly hopes that Mr. Edgeworth is going to throw him in the nearest river and so end his bunny misery.

His hopes are crushed when he hears a cheerful: “Ah, Herr Chief! Herr Wright! What brings you two to my office at this hour?”

The time-out box is left at Klavier Gavin’s office without much of an explanation. Klavier is very happy to see his “favorite furry friend” inside the box. Apollo is not happy to see him.

Klavier quickly finds out that having an angry bunny in his office full of cords and cables and scattered legal papers on the floor isn’t the best of combinations – even if the bunny in question does look very cute.

“Stop eating my aux cords, you little Scheiße!!”

Apollo is put in his time-out box once more. The time-out box is put in to a car once more. And once more, there is a looong car ride. This time no one accuses him of carrying any diseases. Instead Klavier plays him the demo of his upcoming solo album. Apollo decides he doesn’t like the music and proceeds to fall asleep during one of the ballads.

He wakes up in Klavier Gavin’s apartment.

Long story short, Apollo ends up spending the rest of his bunny days with Klavier. During that time he learns that 1) Klavier is actually a decent guy and really fun to be around, 2) his “anger” and “annoyance” toward Klavier might actually be just him having a big fat crush on the rock star, and 3) his bunny-self enjoys belly rubs. A lot. Like a LOT lot.

They cuddle in the evenings and it doesn’t even feel awkward after the first few times.

It’s his seventh day as a bunny. Apollo is comfortably in Klavier’s arms getting his before-bed-belly-rubs when he finally accepts that he might spend the rest of his life this way.

That evening he falls asleep as a bunny. The next morning he wakes up as his usual human-self.

There’s no obvious reason why he finally turns back into a human. It just kind of happens. Trucy says maybe Apollo needed to learn some kind of lesson "like in the movies”. Apollo thinks he was getting too comfortable as a bunny and the universe does NOT want him to feel comfortable. Ever.

So, it is the dawn of the first day AB (After Bunny) and Apollo’s freaking out because 1) he’s sleeping in Klavier Gavin’s bed, 2) he’s sleeping next to Klavier Gavin, and 3) he’s very, very naked.

Apollo’s thrilled to be back to normal (coffee doesn’t make his tummy hurt anymore!) but his joy is short-lived when others kindly let him know he isn’t “as cute” anymore.

The only one who makes him feel somewhat better about the whole ordeal is Klavier.

“I guess I’m happy to have you back as your normal self, Herr Forehead. I couldn’t imagine myself going on a date with a rabbit.”

Some news that I have been very behind on -

Capcom has announced their lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2023, which involves both an in-person and online event. The in-person event will take place from September 21st-24th, with the 23rd and 24th being open to the public, and the online event will be September 21st at 7:00 AM PDT.

Relevant to this blog, the lineup includes Ace Attorney 456! It sounds like it will be present at the physical event to showoff the stunning gameplay, and hopefully at the online event as well. This is the first time that Capcom has featured Ace Attorney at Tokyo Game Show since 2018, and this time they're clear about what they're showing and not teasing "unmissable announcements" (yet). I'm not expecting anything other than 456 information, and possibly a release date, but who knows with Capcom sometimes.

They also have an e-Capcom Tokyo Game Show special store, which includes ace attorney merchandise.

Edit: You CAN buy from the e-Capcom store overseas -- at least from the USA and Canada, I'm not sure about other countries. You have to go through the WorldShopping proxy that is on the page. It wasn't showing up on desktop at all for me, and apparently not working for some of my other friends, but it worked for me on mobile.

This includes:
