Jotaro comes from money, so he'll use that money to gift give, and pick up the bill all the time (unless you make a fuss about it). He's not always around to give the gift directly, but sometimes you'll wake up to a stuffed version of your favorite animal laying in wait for you on the couch, or coming home to takeout in the kitchen after a long day.

He's also definitely a cuddler, but only when it's just the two of you. He really likes the feeling of his large body wrapping around and enveloping your smaller frame.

The orchestra kept its steady tempo and Claudia felt Muriel relax further, hearing his breathing slow and his awkward feet time his steps with hers. Muriel's hand caressed hers, savoring their softness as he lovingly examined her face without her fennec mask and the soft glowing brown of her eyes held his forest greens.

Claudia's smile widened softly at him and the crinkles around the corners of her eyes deepened. She sways them in time, the stars on her masquerade dress shine from the lights as she matches every step with her heartbeat.

"I've never seen you so relaxed, Muriel. You need to give yourself more credit, we keep time together just fine."

Muriel's cheeks redden and Claudia sees that pout she's come to love, "You just make it too easy to understand, I suppose."

Muriel swears he sees her eyes sparkle under the lights, "Because you are quick to understand things Muriel."

Claudia observes Muriel's face more, his worry lines gone from his forehead and the green eyes look soft as Nadia's palace pillow,

"What are you thinking right now?"

Muriel's blush deepens, and he pauses for three minutes before his voice rumbles out softly, "Nothing... Just. When your eyes are on me, I feel like something worth seeing."

Opinion bingo asra please?

No bingo - am I doing this right?

Like most of the canonical chars in the Arcana, I think Asra suffers from a lack of his traumas truly being addressed in his route. Out of all the LIs, I think his is the CLOSEST to the mark - his breakdown in the Death chapters, his Strength chapter, his Moon chapter - and his upright Judgment chapter are some of the strongest writing that NH has, imo. He was the route I referenced the most in writing the Oracle, and in a lot of ways, Iris was formed to work against the ways in which Asra sought desperately to gain control his life.

And yet!!

Where Asra gets really muddled (imo) is his interpretations in the fandom. A true Gemini, Asra has many moods and many modes, and he transitions between them so smoothly and so sweetly you’d miss it if you weren’t looking for it. Asra can be bubbly, can be silly, can be dark af, can be incredibly intense. I think the downfall of his characterization is when that fluidity is what’s ignored for more what I’ll call “tangible” traits - Asra is soft, Asra is controlling, Asra is childlike. Asra lives many lives in this fandom, and many of them can feel like half-truths to me. Especially those who are quick to judge the actions of incredibly broken people, or don’t dip in past that surface playfulness and sexuality (yes, like Julian, I think an unhealed Asra uses sexuality as a means of control and release).

When writing the Oracle, Asra was a straight up enigma to me. Julian was very easy for me to write, even as he changes on the path of the fool’s journey - but he doesn’t share the same flexible characterization as Asra. It took him a long, long time to open up - the same way it took me a long, long time to realize what I was writing about. In a lot of ways, my growth in the oracle mirrors Asra’s. For that reason, he is incredibly precious to me.

Also, he’s so pretty it hurts my heart.

Oh boy this is where I get canceled again. lol

Asra's route is the only one I haven't completed at all. The character as done by NH isn't enjoyable for me and I prefer SOME fan interpretations far more.

I think the character was done a disservice by making him a former lover of the MC, robbing him of character development, to an extent, in that they had to make him a character that would easily slot into that role for many different kinds of people and wrote it off as him being ✨MyStErIoUs✨.

That being said, the fandom's treatment of Asra's character is often unjustifiable terrible. From the offensive rent jokes, to demonization of him, to the opposite problem of trying to also make him some UwU bean who can do no wrong.

A character robbed of depth from all sides.

jenny was an accidental trans allegory. the creators didn't intend for her to be one, but later came out to say that they could definitely see it and that they support it.

one of the ways in which jenny was accidentally trans coded is her insistence on not being called her "birth" name, XJ9. she wanted to be called jenny, which was the name she chose for herself. and her mom just kinda scoffed at her and only ever called her XJ9 anyway.

Claudia and Asra's feet were off the ground, starlight and silver surrounded them, enveloping them in warmth. Claudia gazed into the warm purple of Asra's eyes, remembering the lavender flowers she saw at the market. The dream, or maybe a memory, felt more real.

"Asra, where are we?"

Asra extends their hand to her, Claudia reflexively extends her own and hears him sigh softly when they feel her fingers in his own.

"You might not remember this when you wake up. So I wanted to show you another place. At least you can cherish it for now."

"Why can't I keep this memory? Why can't we remember this too?"

Asra's fingers caress hers and her heart jumps. The starlight makes his eyes shine vividly, he exhales slowly through his nose, "Do you need to remember this for it to be special?"

Claudia pauses, savoring the warmth between their fingers, "Is it selfish that I want to remember this? To remember you this way?

Asra stares back blushing and committing Claudia's starlit brown eyes to memory, "No. It's not. I was sort've hoping you needed me. Is that selfish?"
