This is a part in the original Phantom novel that is rarely (if ever) discussed. Even though it seems crucial to understand why Erik fell in love with Christine.
He saw a beautiful woman with the voice of an angel, of course. But more importantly he saw someone who loved and knew the Opera as well as he did, who showed kindness and understanding to people ignored and rejected from society. A woman interested in magic and music. He saw the chance of reaching out to someone who might understand him and be kind to him.

It's the Yellow-Eyed Girlies
Alternately titled "Fantome n' Frankie", as per my image save.

I just finished scrolling to the end of all things Erik Destler (Phantom of the Opera [poto]) x reader/you. (Both sfw and nsfw) and I am not satisfied. Like I was obsessed with this musical when I first saw it (and quite possibly still am) but like this man.
Damn it. I need more, more of him, his love, his music. Ugh. Someone just write and tag me please.
- Honestly though, might just do it myself. So many ideas but then I also have Genshin ideas, star rail ideas, so many and yet no actual writing idea.

The Phantom of the Opera fandom deserves more spicy drawings of Leroux based Erik and I am willing to take this matter into my own hands.
