OH MY GOD YOU KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE A RANDOM INCREDIBLE LIGHTBULB MOMENT??!
I just figured out what I need to do to make my screenplay I abandoned in 2022 brilliant and I can't believe I only just thought of it now.
As soon as ch13 of Majesty is out, back to scriptwriting! I'm going to be a busy woman!

...guys. guys! I'm have come to a terrible realization!
You know all those things about introverts that can't correct their wrong orders because it goes against their very nature?
Well... let's just say that I've realized through my own mother that those are the perfect breeding ground to to bring forth a middle aged Karen.
It turns out that when enough people get an introvert's orders wrong and said introvert has the middle-aging snap of "fuck it, I'm too old to care about social norms and politeness", then they can very much fall into full on Kareness fueled by the fires of spite and petty frustration and never return.

The "Huh" Moment: Stay Curious My Friends
It's unbelievable how much information must be sorted through to get to the bottom of anything that matters. And if you're only getting information from people you agree with on everything, you're gonna miss something.
Heterodox media is the closest thing you can go to for a reliable presentation or discussions on social and political events, in the sense that you're getting at least two or more perspectives that are respectful and gracious to one another but don't necessarily end in agreement or resolution but let the viewers decide which take or which elements of their takes resonstes most clearly.
If you're not suspicious of everyone and anyone committed to towing the line of establishment, political, social/soft science academia, or religious ideology that's likely because you're elbow deep in zealotry yourself. Or you don't recognize your "truth" to be what it is, an ideology. Probably both.
For me there's something exhilarating about coming across information or an insight which leads to realizing you were wrong about something. A "huh" moment that leads to the "Eureka" moment is arguably the moment that matters most.
To refuse the impulse to recoil, or look away, in that moment is fundamental to growth. It means your capable of being objective, and that getting it right is more important to you than being right. Generally speaking there's something to be said about the utility of unsatisfied, proactively curious agnosticism particularly when approaching unfamiliar or novel subject matter.
We all have the capacity to become, or follow the lead of, someone who initiates or engages in the horrific, none more so than those with good intentions and/or dedicated and in love with being right.
The value of good intentions, is indecipherable, but it's somewhere south of less than nothing because most of the monsters throughout history in real life that engaged in the horrific didn't see themselves as Disney villains - they believed they were right, that doing the right thing was the only option, and there were no limits to the ends which justified the means.

There's a version of the "don't go grocery shopping while hungry" rule specifically for writers where you should never under any circumstances be allowed to touch your draft within 3 hours of reading a really good story. Because sometimes when you read something great your head goes "fuck this is so much better than my stuff I should make that more like THIS instead!" Look at me. That's the devil talking and you should close the document NOW.

Where Does Creativity Come From and How to Increase Your Own
Where Does Creativity Come From and How to Increase Your Own
I recently ran across a newsletter article on creativity and wanted to share some interesting aspects of it with you. Though the main source seems to be the Monitor of Psychology and its author, Kirsten Weir (see footnote below), there are numerous additional sources cited to supplement the creativity aspect. Creativity means different things to different people. Seemingly, creativity is mostly…

Prompt: Because the Infinite Realms exists outside of time and space, the Ghost King summoning ritual is akin to pulling a random draw on a Gacha Game. The stronger the king, the rarer the summon.
Danny is the strongest :)
I refreshed my ask box and hoo boy there are a lot more asks than I was expecting lol Thank you for the prompt!
-
“So wait, you’ve never been Summoned? Not even once?” Tim looked up from the case he’d been working on, blinking in surprise behind his mask towards where Phantom was lounging lazily several feet above the floor.
“Nope.” Phantom said, popping the P as he shifted around in mid air, long tendril leaving a familiar mildly headache inducing after image behind him as he did.
Tim’s brow furrowed. “No offense, but you’re not exactly the most secretive member of the League. How have you managed to avoid any cults getting a hold of your name to try and do a summoning ritual to capture you?”
Phantom’s grin widened, long fangs glinting against pale blue tinged skin. “I haven’t.”
Across the room, Constantine went very still. Tim slid his gaze back towards the monitor before him, glancing towards the file he’d been reviewing for the case. Zantanna’s report on how summoning worked within the Infinite Realm. How power affected the odds of being able to successfully summon an entity. Odds for most beings from Phantom’s native realm were about 50/50 on a Summoning Ritual working to pull the being to them. Those odds got significantly less favorable for the summoners the stronger the entity got.
But the entity always knew when a summoning was being performed.
“Phantom.” Tim said, slowly, turning back to the grinning ghostly hero. “How many times have people tried to summon you?”
The ghost hmmed, “No idea. If we’re talking just today? …actually still no clue.” Phantom tilted his head, considering. “But since we started talking there’s been at least a thousand or so. It’s slowed down a bit over the last few minutes. Kinda nice.”
Constantine swore a blue streak impressive enough to put Jason to shame and stood, leaving the room in a haze of cigarette smoke and exasperated mutterings of I do not get paid bloody enough for this shit and honestly? Tim thinks he has a point.
Phantom smiles again.
Well, Tim considers, at least they won’t have to worry about him getting yanked in the middle of a battle.
