If your F/O is a bad person in their respective media, please acknowledge they're a bad person. Don't uwuify them. Don't take away their bad traits. My point is, don't change them. Sure, everyone's got their own version of their F/Os but if they're like, mentally ill, don't remove their mental illness(es), if they're not body abled, don't have them magically grow limbs they lost. Okay this one may be a bit more on the iffy side but am I the only person that actually likes seeing their f/os suffering? Not forever of course, but man I love me some dark angst before we get to the good wholesome stuff. I just want to be there for my f/o during those hard times and help to ease them back into living a normal life. A scenario I like to think of is with my f/o being very hurt/ill and I have to be their nurse and help them with therapy and overcoming their struggles. Maybe I’m weird idk (jk i already know I am hehe)!
