" LOL like Stevie Nicks has a fucking clue about what 1D did. She's part of the old white crowd that sneers at pop and boybands" What's really funny is that #Fleetwood Mac are now a laughing stock since they fired Lindsey Buckingham because of her. Their legacy has been tainted because of her ego and the band is now being called Fakewood Mac by people who have actually been longtime fans.

Sound Opinion: Fleetwood Mac is Still Fleetwood Mac - Even without Lindsey Buckingham
There’s an oft-told joke about legacy bands touring with only the founding bassist or drummer on stage and calling themselves by their original name.
And like most clichés, this one has some truth to it - in the mid ’80s, for example, Sound Bites found himself in a bar listening to Bruce Palmer and a bunch of guys half his age playing Buffalo Springfield songs. And although the ticket stub said Buffalo Springfield, the band most assuredly was not Buffalo Springfield.
Which brings us to Fleetwood Mac - which has had only its rhythm section as original members for nearly a half-century - and its soon-to-be-announced farewell tour without its guitarist, frontman and undeniable driving force, Lindsey Buckingham.
Unpopular opinion alert:
By any definition, this band - a more Crowded House with Split Enz because of the Heartbreaker development - is still Fleetwood Mac. And it’s totally legitimate, because of the group’s ever-revolving door and because Buckingham is neither a founding member nor a consistent presence.
Sound Bites has seen three different Fleetwood Macs over the years. And he’ll take a chance on a fourth - while never, ever missing a Buckingham solo show - if the band is playing nearby.
The background:
Buckingham on April 9 either quit or was fired from the band he joined with then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks in 1974 and will be replaced by Mike Campbell and Neil Finn, the 17th and 18th musicians to have played under the penguin umbrella over the past 51 years.
As has been the case since 1967, the only indispensable members are drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, the only two of the 18 players past and present to appear on every Fleetwood Mac album. Without either of them, it’s either Fakewood Mac or Fleetwood Mock.
Because of that truth, Sound Bites was astonished and disappointed when 2017’s Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie - which featured every Rumours member save for Nicks - wasn’t released under the MacBanner. After all, Say You Will and Extended Play were billed to the band, even though Christine McVie - who has more history with the group than Buckingham or Nicks - was absent.
Since 1987, Buckingham, Christine McVie and Nicks have left the group at various points, with guitarists Rick Vito, Billy Burnette and Dave Mason - and singer Bekka Bramlett - stepping in. The tours with Vito and Burnette were very good to excellent (and 1990’s Behind the Mask doesn’t suck), but the Mason-Bramlett era - and 1995’s sucky Time - was an undeniable nadir.
The upshot:
While Sound Bites wishes the band had taken a different tack - getting Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer and/or Danny Kirwan on board for a retrospective evening of song - Campbell and Finn will likely do just fine, particularly if the band eschews Buckingham’s material in favor of pre-Buckingham/Nicks material that hasn’t been played in ages.
That’s unlikely. But doing unlikely things is one of the few consistent threads running through Mac’s half-century of change.
Like parting ways with Buckingham on the eve of a farewell tour for instance.

“Well it's it's time to move on to the rain
And finally break the chain”
That’s the parting message of “Fleetwood Mac’s” current tour, and I agree with it.

Did you find isnt it midnight on YouTube? I Wanna hear Christine so baaaaad
No I haven’t seen the whole thing anywhere yet. I saw one brief clip on facebook, but it cut off before the song really got going. Tbh, before you asked, I hadn’t looked for it. I wanted them to play this song so badly during the Buckvie tour. It annoys me that she’s finally doing it again–without Lindsey. I’m reading a lot of reviews that her voice has been shaky on this one so hopefully someone records it later in the tour when she’s had more practice singing it. (Side note: her voice is still heaven if a bit pitchy at times. She’s 75, fam, cut her some slack.)

"Thought for the day: "Azoff's Oakview group runs or owns many of the venues Fakewood will play in. His goal is to pack venues with events. He doesn't care if they're shitty events as long as people are paying 75% percent above standard for piece-of-shit hot dogs and beer." This is from a Lindsay Buckingham fan because Fleetwood Mac fired him, and I found it interesting as I would love to see how many of their venues H played in!
