Her romance style has gotten a bit healthier since her Alm-obsession, but Faye still throws her whole self into romances. She lets it touch every aspect of her life, in the best of ways. When she’s crushing on/dating someone, absolutely everything will make her think of them. She won’t put them above herself, but she’ll consider them when making plans for the day. When she puts on her outfit she’ll imagine what they’ll think of it. She’ll take certain pathways around town to meet her partner, or spend extra time walking with them.

She’s suspicious of fake or exaggerated compliments, but even the most basic, genuine comments can turn her into a blushing mess. She gets flustered extremely easily. Like, she can accidentally fluster herself if she says something a bit too romantic/sentimental. (When she gets too excited, her mouth can move faster than her mind, causing her to blurt things out that surprise both her and her partner.) Sometimes it’s something a bit more vulnerable than she meant to admit, sometimes it’s something more suggestive than she meant to say, and sometimes it’s simply something she thought was embarrassing that her partner thinks is cute.

Though she retains her more quiet personality, being in love unlocks a new, tougher side of Faye. She becomes fiercely protective over her partner. In ordinary situations she becomes the “excuse me, they asked for no pickles!” person. On the battlefield, she unleashes newfound power and courage in order to protect the person she loves. It doesn’t matter if this impresses or frightens them, (any class) Faye is willing to pick up the nearest weapon and take out the nearest enemy endangering them.

There is always someone for her to spend the day with: whether one of her friends is separated from their lover, just got their heart broken, or is also just vibing like her, she gathers up all the single people for a massive hangout. (Even if they don’t really want to, nobody can say no to that sweet face…) She meticulously plans a bunch of activities to keep everyone busy and bonding. Activities include playing games, exercising, baking (an obscene amount of sweets), eating (an obscene amount of sweets), doing something crafty, and settling in for trading stories. If they’re in a good mood, they’ll bring their desserts to the public and hand them out as a Valentine’s special. If they’re bitter with broken hearts or amatonormativity, they’ll keep everything to themselves.

She gathers up her friends in the morning, and most don’t go home until late into the night, if at all. She prepares extra sleeping arrangements for anyone who ends up sleeping over. It started out something she did on a whim – it was her first year realizing that about herself, and she needed something to keep herself feeling connected and cared about (and she’s always looking for a way to stay close with her friends). As the years go on, though, it becomes An Event. The others recognize it as a holiday all on its own. She picks up new regulars, who introduce new activities and recipes and stories into the mix.

There’s one year when Faye is caught up in some rough emotions, and calls the whole thing off. She plans on staying in and finishing her latest sewing project on her own, explaining that she doesn’t have the energy for anything else. She assumes everyone will be grateful for a break that year. She’s shocked to discover that the others really look forward to the whole thing. They bring the event to her – though, they remember what she said about having low energy. They all come with a sewing project to work on by her side (even those who have never picked up a needle in their life), promising not to bother her and be too rowdy. Maybe they all sew together peacefully, or maybe in her surprise she finds the energy to do their usual games. Either way, the holiday is just as good a time as always.

Happy Beancret Santa to @unsuspecting-person! :D I thought it might be fun for Faye to have some warm winter clothes and a cup of hot cocoa, perhaps for the chillier weather in Rigel. Everyone deserves some coziness to deal with the cold!
