valdis really likes to find old machinery and take it apart, mess with it, rebuild it etc. he cant do it anymore because his body it too weak (given the whole Slowly Dying Thing) and so for a while abaddon would try to do it for him because abaddon can lift heavy machinery! they had to stop this after not too long though because as much as abddon tried he did not understand anything about what he was trying to do, no matter how much valdis tried to instruct and guide him

bonus fact i have a modern au with these two where abaddon is an artist and valdis is a mechanic and they live in a really nice studio apartment near the beach. it also has a nice perk of valdis not being slowly and horribly dying !

Lift will have pole white eyes for a while after summoning Wyndle as a Shardblade (or Shardpole, take your pick), the same way Kaladin has light blue eyes after summoning Syl as a Blade, so you could have her with pale white eyes if you wanted, but the brown eyes look good too. (Your SA tarot cards are incredible btw)

the ship/crew do trades with other planets and they’re the crew member whos in charge of negotiations (cel and azul both tag along in negotiations but cel is there for translation purposes and azul is there to supervise and call reinforcements if things go south). one time they got to go down to earth which is a planet theyre OBSESSED with... they could barely keep themself contained during the negotiation with the human officers and they kept staring out the window because they were just that amazed

the negotiation/trade... didn’t go well just because they were so off their game and theyre still very apologetic about it. a lot of the crew were kind of annoyed at them but azul is just glad they were having a good time bc its been their dream to go down to earth for a long while now lol

emerald and clare have a very sibling-esque relationship (which like... they were “raised” [raised being used very loosely] by the same parent so like, yeah that makes sense) and while neither of them would personally consider their relationship to be a sibling-y one theyre both very ride or die for each other. clare is pretty much the only person emerald talks around and she’s also the only person whos allowed unsupervised access to emerald’s rock collection, and emerald is pretty much the only person who can bring up clare’s past without clare getting angry. theyre just very close and they love each other so much !!!

he doesn’t associate with his family at all but he’s still technically considered a part of it... he hasn’t like. gotten himself emancipated or fucked up enough to be disowned or anything though because if he does do that he wont be able to access his (very rich) family’s money. thats literally the only reason KDFHKJDGF. like aside from being very rich (he doesnt like to see it as thievery) he is very much almost completely self made

he’s got different ways he interacts with all his stolen space kids and even though they technically aren’t actually his children they all just. view each other as a family yknow.

he and cleo roughhouse a lot, he and maki have the most. idk how to explain it but their relationship very much resembles a dsughter who is very anxious to meet all her dad’s expectations (and he is very proud of her but its never enough for her and oh my gOD MAKI JUST TAKE THE COMPLIMENTS) and she also very frequently slips up and accidentally calls him dad kghjkdf (azul also did the cliche overprotective parent thing when maki first introduced him to pen). uh azul doesnt really get art but he’s very encouraging and soft with orin, he tries to be soft with cel as well but he’s also slightly more stern with her just bc he knows she can take it and prefers that kind of interaction, he gladly talks for hours upon hours with v’akyss about their interest of the day, and he’s very goofy with apollo. 

basically theyre just a big happy space family (who frequently steal and kill) and they all love each other!

hes intelligent i guess? hes not Super specially smart in any area really but he’s not dumb either

they try to keep things neat to uh. varying degrees of success. their personal taste can be described as “anything that looks expensive but was actually very cheap”

if he did itd be because he was bored rather than actually believing in ghosts lol

the only thing coming to my mind is a koala but thats just bc theyre his favourite animals... koalas dont actually fit him like. at all!!! itd be something that looks harmless and maybe even cute but in actual fact is very deadly and can and will fuck you up
