I’m so miserably sick. I have a bunch of work deadlines on all the projects I didn’t want to do earlier coming up on Friday. I have house guests with a small child coming on Saturday and staying for two nights in my studio. My house is messy because I haven’t been my usual energetic self to clean. My pillow is gross and yellow with god knows what illness exudates, so I need to do laundry but all 3 of our elevators aren’t working today and my laundry is in the basement and I live on the 15th floor. I feel like I’m going to die.

And then, to add insult to injury, my posts don’t show up in tags on tumblr.

hi it’s currently 4 am as I’m writing this BUT I’ve been following vlad and Brie since the start and even tho it was long ago your writing is still so so beautiful. I love your writing, the names you chose, how everything’s connected and thought out. Even tho you might think you aren’t you ARE incredibly smart and talented and I sincerely think you should write a book. Another fight chapter and Panda is how I’m feeling

We finally got more on this fight and their “plan” which hardly seems like a plan at all, but I’m glad it’s actually talked about now. I GET that Sukuna probably does have an “ace up his sleeve” with Yorozu’s gift no one knows about and his possibly-CT related fire powers in Shibuya, and that could end up killing everyone in one go if they jump in, but I’m on Yuuta and Yuuji’s side on this. If Gojo ends up dying and they have to take on Sukuna anyway, it feels like a waste. It’s better to risk it all now and join in.

Although, I actually like Kashimo because I’m sure there’s some fighting/honor code he lives by with how much he was searching for a good opponent, so it’s funny seeing him just not really care about Gojo, just whether or not he’ll have to jump in after. I respect that a lot more than the reluctance for the others to head into the fight.

Which all kind of leads into what I’ve always been scratching my head over since the manga’s been setting up things: HOW are the Sukuna and Kenjaku confrontations going to go down when there’s so many characters wanting to take them down? I know the Sukuna Gojo fight is already happening, but honestly it doesn’t feel remotely close to the “final” fight, and it’s mainly a lot of death flags for Gojo.

I just want something to completely upturn this entire thing, whether it’s Kenjaku doing something, Sukuna’s original form or other powers, etc. While the fight is cool in the battle sense, it’s made it stagnant for the other characters, so I want them forcefully involved. Them just sitting around is going to steadily get more annoying—I’m getting flashbacks to YYH.

In general, there’s a lot of things that just need answers and I still think there’s a “plan” to save Megumi, but I just can’t theorize more on that, since we haven’t gotten anything clarified.

As for the ACTUAL fight, loved some of Gojo’s expressions and blue is always cool to see in action. Didn’t really care about the new combined shikigami, so don’t care about it being destroyed. Other than Gojo seriously being defeated/killed or losing powers, I don’t have any predictions.

Also Uraume mention! Not dead!! choosing to believe Kenjaku was watching the livestream and giggling when they got knocked away from Gojo’s hollow purple.

I’m hoping the manga isn’t still planned to end around the end of this year. It feels completely unachievable and I don’t want to rush through the reveals of everything (kenjaku and the CG/tengen, yukis research, sukunas secret plans, ino about nanami, possible soul related things with yuuji, what’ll happen with sukunas missing fingers, etc etc etc). This fight is fine, but I want some good compelling reveals, dialogue, revelations…whatever to really amp up the tragedy and stakes.
