I was looking for Monkees ones just in case I hadn’t already bought out their whole stock, and I happened to flip back the divider of the “N” section, and I saw ‘Joanne’ and went “oh, wouldn’t it be funny if it was—“ and then I saw ‘Michael Nesmith’ and screamed. (my mom took a video) and then there were a few more so I grabbed them.
I also found a Monkees CD after doing some Monkees-digging at a local book sale.
and of course the cover has my favorite monkees picture from 33 1/3 (that’s literally my phone screensaver right now) on it.
Robert Michael Nesmith (December 30, 1942 – December 10, 2021) was a musician, songwriter, actor, producer, novelist, a businessman like Davy Jones. He was a member of The Monkees and my favorite group member. I thought he was cool because of the green knit cap(not a beanie) he wore. Even though The Monkees were "not a real band, he played the guitar. He approached being The Monkees as a musician and had fun goofing around with the others. After The Monkees had their run, he went on the have success in music. He wrote songs for various artists and had a top 40 hit with his son," Joanne." Nesmith has been awarded for his work in music and was part of the music he was part of producing of the film Repo Man. Sadly, he passed away this day last year. He is missed by his family, friends, peers, and fans.
