Wait what Denny’s punk show controversy???

so the DIY punk scene in california is out of control and people will do pop-up shows in the most random places they can fit a crowd. caves, big storm drains, 24 hour post offices, the in n out parking lot are all places i’ve personally attended punk shows at. a couple months ago a DIY group here in orange county put on a hardcore show at a denny’s and totally destroyed it. the DIY community was all up in arms, people were arguing for both sides, and it got enough attention that green day (the fucking band) got involved and offered to pay denny’s for the damages. it was chaos

#bf is heavily involved in diy around these parts and though he was not involved in this particular incident #he def had opinions about it #frankierogothdad

Writing prompt: the killjoys find a puppy. That’s it: that’s the prompt.

Fun Ghoul is fucking ecstatic. He's about to jump out of his boots, he's got so much frantic energy in him. But he needs to be chill. He needs to chill out. He can’t scare the puppy more than she already is.

"Ghoul..." Jet Star says, ready to admonish him, but Fun Ghoul shushes him.

"You'll scare her off," Ghoul whispers.

Ghoul thinks the cowering pup is a bloodhound mix, less wrinkly but still with the floppy ears, almost the same color as the dusty, cracked dirt beneath their feet. The puppy takes a cautious step further into the bush but its dry and barren branches must be uncomfortable as they poke at her. Ghoul has been slowly getting closer, now with his arms outstretched, reaching for the fearful pup with steady hands.

"She's probably waiting for her mother to come back with food," Jet says. Something they both know is incredibly doubtful; there's nothing and no one for miles. "We have to get back to-"

Ghoul is definitely not listening. He's got this big, goofy smile on his face as the puppy allows herself to be picked up. Ghoul inspects her briefly, to make sure there aren't any noticeable wounds on her, then hugs her to his chest like a baby.

"I haven't seen a puppy in so long, Jet," Ghoul says, holding the puppy tightly. She was shaking but curiously sniffing Ghoul's dirty face. He looks at Jet with pleading eyes. "She's so warm and soft. And she's alone, she's scared. We have to-"

"Add another mouth to feed to our crew? I don't think so."

Ghoul doesn't really listen to what anybody tells him, though.

Back at the diner, Kobra Kid is equally ecstatic to see the little creature. Ghoul doesn't want to let her go but when she starts licking Kobra's hand and Kobra makes a squeaky, excited sound, Ghoul hands her over. Then she's licking his face, and they're both laughing.

"It's not a great idea," says Party Poison, standing at the other end of the diner with Jet Star as their younger compatriots swoon over the puppy. "But we've had worse ones."

The puppy's tail wags wildly as Kobra opens a can of food for her over a makeshift plate and Ghoul pours some mostly clean water into one of the few bowls they have. She's still dirty and small and underfed, but she's jumping from foot to foot as if recognizing that she has a new family. That these strangers are going to take care of her.

"She's really cute," Jet admits. "The Girl would love her."

"We'll get her back," Poison says, for maybe the hundredth time since they lost her. "We could use something to lift our spirits in the meantime."

Ghoul and Kobra sit on the ground with the puppy and watch her indulge in her meal, as the heat rises in the diner on another long day in the barren desert.

I really think it’s just gonna be a video for Basement Eyes. If it’s anything else, I’m gonna be shocked. None of the other members posted anything, I think, and he seems to be committed, and happy, about My Chem. It seems like it’s one of those videos that’s gonna have tour memories/FIATFV memories intermingled in the video, so if anything, I think it might be him saying goodbye to this project and possibly moving on to My Chem/something else. That’s just my theory! We will have to see!

OH MAN OKAY. What’s a piece of renaissance art that moves you? A piece of modern art? A statue? One of each?

ok. hmm. sad i know but i’ve never been able to vibe that well with most renaissance art. i like their statues. hmm. this isn’t renaissance, but one of my favorite paintings/pieces of art in general is johannes vermeer’s woman holding a balance. here it is ⬇️

again, it’s not renaissance (painted in 1664, i think) but it’s only a bit later right haha..... my favorite period for art is impressionism actually! i love impressionist art i think it’s very cool. i am boring so my favorite painter is van gogh.

ok modern art time!! again my favorite art style is impressionism which is included in the modern art era... some of my favorite modern artists are: vincent van gogh (as already stated), claude monet, elaine de kooning, lee bontecou, alma thomas, gustav klimt, and mary cassatt... i like modern art a lot and i like a lot of paintings... however i do have a soft spot for impression - sunrise by monet ⬇️

i adore the colors of this painting they’re gorgeous.

umm statues. i’m kinda boring... one of my favorite statues is the one of nike but she’s missing her head it’s very cool. i also like this sculpture by zenos frudakis ⬇️

i really like this style of sculpture i think it’s very cool how it looks both rough and finished at the same time. um... hm more boring thoughts. the motherland calls is a very cool looking sculpture i think. i tend to like art depicting women more than art depicting men... especially in the statues department. most statues of dudes i don’t find very interesting for some reason. however if u give me literally any statue of a woman especially a woman looking up i will be in love.

Hello! How have you been holding up??

Hey!! Much better than this morning, actually! Went grocery shopping at 7am and was feeling like.... straight up despair. BUT I worked on lots of computers for donation and I've got at least 40 going out to kids on Monday! I really love my city. All these little non-profits are stepping it up and making sure vulnerable people are being taken care of. I hope you and everyone else has something like this to remind them humans are good and trying their best most of the time 💖💖💖
