The dreaded reaper has gone somewhere. Where? Sebastian doesn’t care as long as he stays far away from him. For once, there is some peace and quiet within the little tent that is his. No one to bother him, no master to bark orders at him. Simply peace and quiet. It’s a little odd, really, dare he say he actually misses the constant barking of orders?

The quiet comes to a stop when a small voice reaches his ears and he sits up from his spot on the cot that they call a bed and he sees Doll standing in the open entrance of the tent.

She’d saught him out? Why?

“....Are you alright, Doll?” A pause before he adds, “You can come in, if you wish. Is something or someone bothering you...?”

         Snake watched her carefully, worried not only for her well-being but also for the reptilian currently slithering its way up her arm.

         He was honestly quite surprised when she had asked to hold one of his companions. All his life, everyone seemed either scared or disgusted by them, part of the reason why they often shunned him. Even after graciously being taken in by the troupe, quite a few of the members still seemed put off by the wandering snakes.

         Except for Doll.

“... They don’t scare you?”          he finally asks after a while.
