Conor McGregor's boast about being the highest-paid first-time action star has sparked debate in Tinseltown. Let's dissect the controversy surrounding McGregor's alleged record-breaking payday and explore other intriguing Hollywood happenings. The McGregor Factor: Fact or Fiction? The former UFC superstar made headlines with his claim of setting a new world record with his payout for his debut role in Amazon's "Road House" reboot. McGregor, known for his prowess in the martial arts world, hinted at a significant paycheck, but details remain undisclosed. While some doubt the veracity of his statement, sources suggest McGregor may have indeed pocketed a substantial sum, possibly rivaling Dwayne Johnson's iconic "Scorpion King" paycheck. Conor McGregor's Claim to Hollywood Fame The Book on Bouncing Back Laura Brown and Kristina O'Neill, former magazine editors thrust out of their glamorous media positions, are teaming up to pen "All the Cool Girls Get Fired." Their forthcoming book aims to demystify the stigma of getting sacked from high-profile jobs, offering solace and advice to those navigating career setbacks. With insights on embracing resilience and reclaiming personal value, their collaboration promises to resonate with professionals from various industries. Navigating Publicity Nightmares Marshall Weinbaum's unconventional PR tactics for promoting "The First Omen" raised eyebrows and heart rates in Hollywood. The veteran publicist's eerie press campaign, featuring disturbing children's drawings, left journalists rattled and some even considering involving law enforcement. Despite the initial shock, Weinbaum defends his approach as a creative endeavor, albeit one that garnered unexpected reactions. Chloë Sevigny's Love-Hate Relationship with L.A. Actress Chloë Sevigny's candid remarks about her disdain for Los Angeles stirred controversy earlier this year. However, a recent encounter with Sevigny reveals a nuanced perspective on the city of angels. Contrary to her previous statements, Sevigny acknowledges the allure of L.A.'s Old Hollywood glamour, vibrant arts scene, and cherished friendships, offering a more balanced view of her relationship with the city.

Quotes on My Mind
1. Happy on the outside but dying on the inside
2. Shes banged up, mentally and emotionally, literally and metaphorically. But every day she walks outside with a smile on her face because that is who she is.
3. It hurts knowing you tried your best and it still wasnt good enough.
When you read these quotes you must think that I must be just another chick rambling about losing some guy but the reality is, this isn’t about that. I’ve been through hell and back. And now it feels like I am literally in hell. I have a boss who is in love with me and wont take no for an answer. My fault i guess i played a part into that. But then I find out that because of my boss and his laziness, they might let me go. It doesn’t matter that I have busted my ass for the last 7 months. It doesn’t matter that people say that this would not have been successful if it wasn’t for me. It doesn’t matter if people recognize that you are an amazing and hard worker because all they see is this association with this one person. I feel like all my hard work is going out the window and no matter what I do, its not enough to save me. I am a single mother and I know that shouldn’t matter but those children are the very reason i work and do what i do. And i cant do a damned thing to stop the train wreck I know is about to happen. I sit here and i pretend I don’t have this knowledge, like someone didn’t let it slip that I am going to be fired just because I work under this person. And I have to act like its okay. I have to sit here and do my job with 150% and wonder if this is going to be the day they decide it’s time.  Who do you turn to? You cant let people see how much its killing you inside. You cant admit that you know that the inevitable is about to happen because in doing so, you will throw someone else under this train wreck of a bus. So i sit here day in and day out, knowing my days are numbered, busting my ass hoping and praying that maybe just maybe it will be enough, with this thought in the back of my head that eventually I’m going to have to tell my boys that I failed. AND THAT PART KILLS ME THE MOST.

This is not music. But I watched this prepared to be loosley offended. I. Was. Not. As a white person I can confirm we *do* get fired like that. Many a time I have walked into the office like ‘...you wanted to see me...?’. Even when I am not being fired. If I got fired I would probably just go like ‘I am so sorry for wasting your time though’...

Slacking
Well, it’s been three weeks, almost a whole month as I am being under constant torture, and I am seriously just about to snap anytime. My husband just won’t stop snoring! I have tried everything, google’d every possible solution to snoring, from force drinking him with some special teas, to not allowing him any alcohol before bedtime. If only I could force him to lose some weight, they say that just about all snoring is due to being overweight!
I really wouldn’t mind, seriously, cause you could easily say that I am pretty much used to it – he didn’t snore all the time, but once or twice a month was a must. Ever since we got this new bed, however, it is nonstop. He just doesn’t stop snoring, and I simply cannot sleep at all! Not a chance. This made me super useless at work, so I already got fired from one job, and when it comes to the second one, I have been late more than half of the time!
The good thing is, though, that I was using the free, nighttime productively. I found a five step guide on www.crestonepeak.org, on how to become a real estate agent! I have followed it thoroughly, and I enrolled in an online school that prepares people to take the state exam! An agent! Like agent 007, but with far less shooting and killing! I have got more or less a month to get prepared. Then, if  I pass it, I wouldn’t care if I get fired from my second job or not!

Getting Fired
So this is what it comes to. My first post ever about being booted from a kitchen. It happens all the time, if not to you, it’s happening to the cooks next you in the kitchen. Sometimes it’s the best thing that could ever happen to you, sometimes it’s the worst, and sometimes it’s as bittersweet as the caramel you slightly burned the other day.
It happened to me today. For the first time ever. Sure, there have been times where it’s been mighty close to happening, but this is the first time I’ve had a chef pull me aside and tell me that I’m out. And you know what, it stung like fuck. I’m the type of person who isn’t used to being rejected, isn’t used to accepting an A-. So this was a weird, but logically sound, event.
And the odder thing is, this is what I’ve been wanting for the longest time ever. I’m over-worked and under-payed, like most kitchen employees, and I hated the position I was in - no camaraderie, no talking, pure ass-fucking hard work. ANd this still feels like a slap to the face. And to be honest, I’m still processing why.
There is something ingrained in cooks’ DNA that causes us to feel that the kitchen we work in and the quality of our performance is commensurate with our worth as a human being. It’s just the case, and as far as I can tell with kitchen culture, it’s something that’s going to be around for a very, very long time - if not forever. Being fired from a kitchen - whether you hate the place or not - is comparable to being told that you’re worthless and have nothing to contribute to society. It fucking sucks, but that’s the code that we operate on.
I know I did the best that I could, and yet I know that I could have done better. I don’t think cooks should feel this way when we’re fired. I’m not really sure where I planned on taking this post, but if any cook is out there reading this and you’re feeling like shit for getting fired, remember: there is more to life than your job, and there a so many more chefs and kitchens to work in. You’re not shit (unless you’re a dick - you might wanna change that). Keep your chin up, and keep on working your ass off and pouring your heart into your food; at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters.

How To Get Fired In The 80's
Shinky: *washes himself naked in the sink.*
Manager: *sees Shinky and gasps* You can't do that!
Shinky: *points to the sign that says "All employees must wash before working"* I'm just doing what the sign says!
Manager: You're fired!
Shinky: *smiles in accomplishment and walks out naked*
Ian: *about to leave with him*
Manager: Not you. I need you for the lunch rush.
Ian: *thinks* Are you gonna watch Star Wars?
Manager: I'm watching it with my kids tomorrow
Ian: Darth Vadar is Luke's father!
Manager: GET OUT!
