@givebloodnhs Dedicated to all the lives that have been saved and made better by my donations ❤ One reason that makes the hour it takes to donate worthwhile is my blood could have been given to as many as 450 babies over the years as it's classed as Neo (neonatal). Meaning essentially I have pure blood. There is a virus we can get when we are toddlers, which I never contracted, and the anti-bodies produced stay in the body for life. Therefore this makes the blood unsuitable to give to babies. So yesterday at #stjamesparksouthampton I had my blood type tested and it was not what I thought. I thought I was O- but I'm A+. My mum is A- so I obviously get my A from my rare blood type mummy. Probably not adopted than 😂 So I went home and googled A+ just to see how rare it was but so many other things came up aswell. Illnesses you can be prone to for me things like leaukimea which made me think did my brother and I have the same blood type? Is that why he got leaukimea? Apparently it makes you more prone 🤨 Certain foods which are better for you and foods you should avoid. Well actually the foods I should avoid my surgeon gave me that same list so I guess there maybe something behind that as those foods cause me a great deal of pain and than personalities..... I skipped past that 😂 Although I did see as I was skipping that I'm a natural leader which my star sign and Chinese sign agrees with 😉 Move over Theresa, no need to take over Boris... So, my lovely partner @idemash gives blood regularly, I’ve been to donate myself a few times but due to injections and tattoos and my veins not cooperating I wasn’t able to follow through, and eventually gave up and forgot (after 4 attempts) .
