Halsey, Panic! At The Disco, Bruno Mars, Queen. From Polish: Quebonafide, Taco Hemingway, I recommend checking out their rap even if you don't understand it. Ukrainian: MELOVIN. My overall taste in music is weird and very much scattered but those artists sum it up very well. I listen to whatever my ears choose. I also love musicals: Heathers, Be More Chill, Dear Evan Hansen just to name the more popular ones.

Amount of sleep: 6-7 on weekdays, 10-11 on weekends. My body can't lay down for more than 10 hours, it just hurts.

What I'm wearing: As I'm writing this: Light blue, long sleeved shirt, black jeans and black hoodie. Going to school!

Dream trip: Japan, of course. The whole of England and Ireland. Canada.

Dream job: Not gonna lie, I don't have a specific one. If I ever learn how to properly write and draw I'd love to create my own comic or a story because my head is going to explode with the amount of ideas I have, hence the name of my blog. I'm working on one right now but it's a very slow process. But currently I'm aspiring to be a vet. I love animals and I want to help them when they need it. I just need to be less lazy and work harder starting this year!

Do you play instruments: Nope! I wish I could at least know how to play a guitar. (´∀｀；)

Languages: Polish 'cuz I'm polish! English, constantly praised for my skills in it even though I feel like I'm mediocre. Russian, I started 3 years ago but only now my new teacher is able to explain it well to me. I'd like to learn some good ol' welsh or irish. I just find it interesting. I'd also like to try japanese. I feel like talking will be no problem. But there's still writing and reading~

Random fact(s) about me: I really don't know what to put here. (´∀｀；) Okay: 1. I've dyed my hair red just to be more like my fave anime character Kagami Taiga. Turns out that having red hair suits me and makes my skin 'glow' and not look pale. So it wasn't a bad decision in the end! Now I just dye my ends red. 2. I enjoy memes that I find funny, but when I see my buddies' meme folders I think that they're weird. Usually later on I find that those are the hottest memes right now. I don't get it. I don't get new memes. 3. I'm an introvert so making any contact is really stressful for me. I don't have many friends and I don't go out that much even though I want to. I'm working on building up my confidence, it's definitely better than it was a year ago for example. 4. I'm bisexual! And I proudly present it to the world! ♡ 5. I listen to a lot of japanese stuff yet I still can't speak it. I like singing in japanese when I have the romaji lyrics. 6. I have 5 anime boys that I consider my sons: Miyuki Kazuya, Yuri Plisetsky, Otabek Altin, Killua Zoldyck, Ryugazaki Rei. Weird, I know. okay okay. so.

shinobu ohtaka's magi • this ones gotta be like. my fav manga of all time. the way ohtaka crafts worlds and characters, goals and ideals, timelines, history, interactions, etc etc, its all so good. the political bubble that moves about magi is something ive never really seen in other manga before?? plus her art is gorgeous. 10/10 would recommend (from magi, i really like kougyoku ren, scheherazade, ja'far, pisti, sheba, and titus alexius)

kuroko no basket • easily my favorite anime. i try and rewatch the entire 70+ episodes once a year. i just really like the reverse typical sports anime take, of an upstart trying to become the best. kuroko is about humbling the best. its about bringing kings and giants back down to earth, and the boy who loves his friends so much hes willing to go through all this effort to make sure all five of them learn some humility. i didnt even really like basketball before i saw this one so like. hhh sports anime changes opinions really. truly. (aomine daiki and furihata kouki and kise ryota and momoi satsuki. and kuroko tetsuya)

pokemon special • its pokemon. its. yeah. i jus really like the plots of each arc, like they keep the same flow from the games but the journey to get to the end is different. so many characters, esp those w no personalities like player characters, are given so much agency and personality its amazing. if you like pokemon pls read pokespe (silver, blue, y, moon)

haikyuu • who doesnt love hq at this point erhgrgghr its volleyball man.. its good. so much development, character-wise. so many feels. furudate is v good abt making you feel bad for teams that lose. no one is an enemy here. we're all jus friends along the vb train (kozume kenma, akaashi keiji, shirofuku yukie, semi eita, yachi hitoka)

daiya no ace • this is the last sports i promise. i like. baseball. daiya is really funny. it might be the only show ive ever watched where i burst out ugly-laughing every episode. madhouse has done such a good job with the animation. terajima's drawings are beautiful from what i've read of act 2. all the characters are good. its realistic but everyone has a different distinguishing design (realistic like. no blue, crazy hair) and the drive behind focus characters is inspiring to watch (miyuki kazuya, aotsuki wakana, seto takuma, narumiya mei, sawamura eijun)

a certain scientific railgun • i like railgun more than index right now (and i like railgun's spinoff astral buddy more than railgun itself. you see where this is going) but its still for the same reasons i like index. its science-imbued magic, in a sense. the world is unique in that it differs from ours and yet all the scienc-y elements are written as if they could be possible to achieve in ours. like nothing is far out there. it makes sense. that and the way plots move around and utilize this is really jaw dropping tbh. railgun is unique in this way, completely. (bt i do like astral buddy more, hahaa) (yuuri senya, misaka mikoto, sogiita gunha, last order, saten ruiko, hokaze junko)

tokyo revengers • idk ive just been attached this year to the not-as-brutal-as-expected gang manga its jus become a thing ig. time travel. even without the time travel like if it was jus following takemichi's like as he grew up itd still be engaging. there is so much depth established and revealed for characters. like youll think nothing abt them at first and then by the end of the arc theyre your fav. your poor little meow meow (shiba yuzuha, sano emma, takashi mitsuya, kazutora hanemiya, chifuyo matsuno, baji keisuke, akashi senju)

Two Year Anniversary

Hi all! @flowermikoscans turned 2 years old at the beginning of the month! Last year, the number of followers was circling around 700 and now a year later, it’s nearly doubled that! It feels so surreal and I can’t thank everyone enough for your support and liking this blog so much.

Many a times real life has gotten in the way of me keeping up the blog, but I am committed to this hobby and continuing to share images for as long as I can. Much of it is for my own entertainment, but also half the fun is being able to share scans from the series I love with so many of you. Whenever I go through the comments in tags, sometimes I’ve shed tears of laughter at your reactions and it makes me happy to see so many of you enjoying that.

I started this blog two years ago as a way to organize so many of the scans I’ve been doing since 2006, plus also have an outlet to talk and analyze the illustrations I like and share them. Most of my scans have involved to date Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura. As many of you know, this is a very dear series to me that has seen me through some of the roughest personal times in my life and I know many of you share that sentiment.

In honor of that, for the next couple of months I’m taking it back right where it began: Saiyuki. Now that the anime is out, I plan to share many illustrations featuring the anime art from Platinum Vision studio. They have done an incredible job with the series and their art has been wonderful. I want people remember Saiyuki is still alive and the journey continues and will continue after this season of the anime ends.

I’ve been preparing for this for quite some time, gathering scanning material and editing scans. As I mentioned before, Saiyuki has seem me through plenty of tough moments through the years. That still stands true, even as my hometown of Houston, Texas, was hit with one of the worst devastating floods in history. I was extremely lucky to make it through safely with no flooding to my home. Me and my family are doing well, but sadly many people in Houston lost everything to the floods: their homes, their belongings, their whole way of life and must start from scratch.

Before I have said that I will never ask for donations for this blog and I still stand by that. But I do understand some people like to do that as a way of saying “thanks for doing this”. I know I also reach a lot of people through this blog and there’s power in that. So, I’d like to ask is a favor: If you can, please donate to the Houston Harvey Floods Relief Efforts. A Matter of Balls [Chapter 2]

Chapter 2: Impudent answer

Kazuya lost the count of times that his phone have rang already. He usually shuts it off or lowers the volume to the max but last night he forgot about it since he spent until late studying, making homework and checking the scorebooks that he got earlier in the afternoon from Nabe.

He swept his hand over his nightstand, trying to find the incessant noisy device. Kazuya couldn’t even find the specific spot of his glasses during this time, accidentally throwing them in the floor but getting the phone on his hands instead.

What a great way to start the day.

He pressed random keys at first since he couldn’t see anything and was dazzled from the sudden screen brightness until he finally managed to hit the answer button and reply. Whoever this person was, they better had a good reason to be calling at these hours.

“Miyuki-senpai, are you awake?” Sawamura.

Kazuya damned himself from answering the phone now. Probably the pitcher had trouble at sleeping and wanted to drag him inside his misfortunate night into an early rising catching practice. Certainly he was going to penalize him if that were the case, which would have made more sense than the actual reason why he dialed for.

“Do you think that balls have feelings?”

At first, Kazuya thought Eijun was joking with him for making such an idiotic question but he knew the guy well, he was going completely serious this time. His tone and attitude on the phone showed that perfectly and if it weren’t important -for his own standards of importance- he could have perfectly waited until the morning to embarrass himself in front of more of his teammates. Such a shame, because it would have been a nice thing to mess with him up.

He tried to come up with an answer. The bespectacled didn’t knew if he wanted to bully his kouhai or simply cut the talking and getting back to sleep, but in that moment he managed to overhear another voice. It was Youichi for sure. Now everything was making more sense.

“Yo! Kuramochi, you awake too?”

“The whole damn week if you hadn’t noticed.” The shortstop sounded somewhat annoyed but not completely. There was something on his tone that made him think that. Even though, Kazuya swore he managed to hear a ‘tch’ from him before his reply.

“Maybe I didn’t since I’m not that perceptive like you~.” What was this all about? He was going to find it out.

“Asshole.” The catcher couldn’t help but chuckle for his own amusement. If he was going to remain awake then at least he intended to enjoy it. Haah~… maybe things will be fun starting now.

“Say Kuramochi. Couldn’t you answer such a simple and obvious question to Sawamura that he actually had to call me?”

“I tried to, but he got convincing arguments to go against logic.”

“Hah?” Yeah, like hell. “In that case I would like to hear them then.”

Eijun proceeded to explain his views to Kazuya the same way he had done previously with the shortstop, not convincing him unlike it seemed to have happened with the later.

“Kuramochi, did you really feel and agreed with this?”

“Man, I’m not sure. Who are we to know? Maybe there’s a possibility.”

“And was this SO important that Sawamura couldn’t have waited and ask it in the morning?”

“He wouldn’t have allowed me to sleep the few hours left neither himself from the curiosity and anguish from others’ opinions.”

“But Kuramochi-senpai!, you encouraged me to call Miyuki-senpai even when I thought it was a bad idea.” My, my. What do we have here? The real culprit is finally spotted. Now pieces seemed to match in the puzzle.

“Yeah, but I did it for the sake of ourselves, especially yours. You have no idea about how annoying you can get when you don’t sleep, Sawamura.” Bullshit with a hint of truth. Still such a sneaky play from you, Kuramochi.

Kazuya sighed at the phone and smiled devilish to himself. He now made sure it was Youichi’s fault to be in this situation. Probably he was taking revenge from what he did to him during the week but well, it couldn’t be helped. It was too much fun to mess with his friend like he does to Eijun, so he wasn’t going to let this moment slip easily. If the shortstop thought that he was the only one who could retaliate on him, he was wrong… so wrong.

“Well Sawamura,” he said in a lax tone. “I don’t know if regular balls have or not feelings, but I do know balls which actually do feel~.”

“Really?!”

“Yep~.” Kazuya managed to heard an ‘oh no’ from Youichi. Good.

“A-and which balls are those?!”

“Oi Sawamoron, don’t ask!” The shortstop knew perfectly what was coming next. That’s exactly what Kazuya wanted. He smoothly replied to his demanding underclassman to satisfy his curiosity.

“Mine.”

A yell came from the other side of the line. “GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, MIYUKI!” The named dropped his phone during few seconds to cover his giggles. Kazuya wondered if Youichi have woken some of his teammates from near rooms by how loud he just was. Anyway, he couldn’t simply lose the flow now that things were going on his favor. He was going to make sure that the shortstop regretted the moment he came with his vengeance plan.

This is just starting, Kuramochi.

Minutes passed by and Youichi kept yelling and groaning over the speaker making it impossible for the catcher to restrain his laugh anymore, especially at the last thing the shortstop shouted at him.

“I’LL MAKE SURE TO GIVE YER’ BALLS A GOOD KICK IN THE MORNING JUST TO MAKE SURE!” Kazuya’s shitty laugh echoed louder now and he had to take some moments for calming himself down before properly speaking again.

“Hahahaha! Kuramochi you’re so mean~.”

“Says the devil.”

“Thank you.”

“It wasn’t a compliment!”

During this time Eijun remained silent, which gave Kazuya the impression that he probably didn’t caught at all the real intention behind his words. He needed a better proof anyway.

“Hey Kuramochi, but my balls are actually delicate for handling your kicks. Maybe you could be more gentle and give me something else, like a kiss~.”

The catcher would have liked to be in the same room as Youichi only to see his lousy and pissed off expression. “Miyuki, I’ll murder you.”

“C’mon! it’s just a kiss, and it can be on the tip~.”

“FUCK OFF, YOU’RE SO GROSS!”

Eijun had spent the whole time trying to figure out why Youichi was so angry at Kazuya. Kissing Miyuki’s balls… what was wrong with that? The catcher had baseballs of his own like plenty of the players had, but probably his were a bit more special…

Oh.

“GOTCHA! Now I understand!”

“It took you too damn long, Sawamoron!”

“Kuramochi-senpai, I don’t understand why you’re so angry at Miyuki-senpai. His balls are probably a lucky charm!”

“What.”

“Yeah yeah! it must be like rubbing Tanba’s bald head for good luck. If his balls are kissed it might bring luck to the ones who do that!”

An annoying high-pitched laugh came from the line. It sounded like if the catcher could pee himself over this whole situation.

“Sawamura, you’re certainly a hopeless idiot.”

Youichi probably wanted to flee from his room now. That comeback from Eijun was simply the best uncalled thing that Kazuya could have asked for, which actually gave him a golden opportunity to give his dear friend the final blow. What a great time to be alive.

“Kuramochi~ Sawamura is right. My balls are actually my lucky charm.”

“I knew it!” The pitcher shouted proudly of himself for having ‘deciphered the truth.’ Kazuya had to give his kouhai a reward for giving him such an entertaining night.

“Hey Sawamura, I’ll be kind enough to share my own luck with you two, but only for this time.”

“R-really?!”

“Yes, but it has to be to you two. It doesn’t works only with one person.”

The shortstop interrupted abruptly the conversation, sounding menacing. “Oi Miyuki, don’t you fucking dare to do what I’m thinking you’ll do.”

Too late.

“Sawamura, if you and Kuramochi kiss my balls by tomorrow I’ll catch for you without protesting for a whole month.”

Kazuya knew that Youichi was internally screaming fucks all over because he was perfectly sure of which was going to be Eijun’s response.

“OF COURSE WE WILL DO IT, MIYUKI-SENPAI!”

“NO WAY IN FUCKING HELL I’LL BE DOING THAT SHIT!”

Both noisy guys were shouting all over the line, thing that simply increased Kazuya’s amusement. It wouldn’t have been weird if the shortstop started to wrestle his partner right in that moment. Anyways, his job was done for now.

“Well, I’m going back to bed. Don’t forget about it, you two~.”

“MIYUKI, YOU’RE DE-” The conversation was cut immediately. Kazuya hit the end-call button as his classmate voice faded abruptly at the clang sound from the waiting line.

The catcher raised himself from bed to take the fallen glasses and put them back on place, thankfully they weren't damaged. He had a proud smile drawn on his lips for what he just accomplished. Then he silenced his phone and thrown himself back to his bunk, actually not being able to sleep at all due the excitement from whatever that was going to happen in the following hours.

Today actually seems like it will be a good day.
