Tumblr media

Here is a quick glimpse at La Reina Del Sur's premise before we jump to the La Reina Del Sur Season 3 Episode 20's release date & the streaming details of La Reina Del Sur Season 3 Episode 20.  La Reina del Sur, the book's title written by "Arturo Perez Reverte," translates to "The Queen of the South" in English. The thriller, which debuted on February 28, 2011, stars Kate Del Castillo as Teresa Mendoza, a strong mafia queen. She evolved from a young Mexican woman to lead one of Spain's most notorious and brutal drug gangs. In one of his presentations, Artur Perez Reverte said that the "Country Polka Songs," regional folk songs in which people recount stories of some of the most successful drug cartels in Mexico, serve as one of the many sources of inspiration for his book. He added that Sandra Aguila Beltram, a real-life drug dealer regarded as one of Mexico's first female drug lords, inspired Teresa Mendoza. Sandra was one of the first women to show that women could also run cartels in the traditionally male-dominated field of narcotics. Because of this idea, she earned the moniker "The Powerful Queen of the Pacific." Also read: Chicago P.D. After years of peace and leaving her criminal background behind, Teresa goes underground in the show's second season. As season 2 came to its end, Teresa was arrested in the US for the murder of three DEA officers. When the third season of the narrative begins, Teresa has just been imprisoned there. After completing a four-year sentence, she is ultimately released from prison, and after one last reunion with the underworld, she starts looking for her child. The Star Cast Of La Reina Del Sur? Zurita is a Mexican actor and producer who has made many film and television appearances throughout his career. Colombian actor Isabella Sierra returns as Sofia in Season 3 of La Reina del Sur. Do you think Jeresa are soulmates/meant to be/star crossed lovers? I personally think that was meant to be Güero for Teresa, but her fate certainly changed along the way, and James came with said change.
Hi, anon. My opinion is that canon does not present Teresa's relationship with Güero or James that way. Teresa's fate, I think, is situational and circumstantial. The reason I think James is the right person for Teresa is because she chooses him.
In the pilot, Güero seems to be right for her because he makes it so that Teresa is no longer a money changer, they have a nice life together, and they're in love. But then we get the switch up. It is because of Güero that Teresa is in danger and has to go on the run and ends up in Dallas. In season 2 we even see Güero make his return, and while it's clear Teresa still loves him, much has changed and he's no longer the right person for her.
I think one of the failures of season 5 (or maybe it's intentional...hard to say with these writers) was giving Teresa her throne but then gridlocking her in and showing that, really, no matter how high she rose to the top, so much was out of her control. Supposedly she was calling the shots and so powerful...but a lot of her decisions were in reaction to what the men were doing. So then who was really calling the shots? Didn't Devon even explicitly say we [the CIA] allow people like you to exist? Did Teresa ever really have control until she was out?
Now. James. Teresa's relationship with James is something Teresa does have complete control over. She always goes back for him. She hallucinates him saying "you're safe" and their first kiss in the jungle, which has implications about her subconscious thoughts and feelings about him (and don't forget when she wakes up, she's in Güero's arms but the first words she says are "where's James?"). She is the one who always initiates with James, save for a few odd times—one of them being that hallucination kiss. She keeps him at arm’s length until nearly the very end. It's up to her to pick James, to love him, to try and get to "some other life" with him. And she does. She does all of that. 💕
That being said...I can give you my exact interpretation of what Jeresa as soulmates would be like, because I'm in the middle of writing a soulmates AU: Ape Dos Mil. Or is that why you asked? Anyway, my take on it is that if they are soulmates, that doesn't necessarily mean everything’s going to fall into place or that they’re fated. Consistent with canon in that regard, Teresa has the choice to choose James or not.
Shit, did I turn my answer into a plug for my story? Lol whoops! I’ll leave this part under a cut.
Thanks for the ask, anon!

I disliked El Guero so I'm still not sold on Jon. Now James. YES PLEASE
Damn, James is like the bad boy fantasy of my dreams.
I still can’t get over how meeting Teresa Mendoza changed the trajectory of his life, and gave him a heart so big, that he was willing to risk his life for her. Ugh. Masterful.
Tumblr media
Guero is like, a skinny, drug mule?
Tumblr media
No thanks.
But, that’s just my two cents.
Also, the CHEMISTRY?!?!?
