I love the story so far (not fully caught up yet), but man, what a missed opportunity to just have the Byouki/Haimaru as the Kiba family pet while Nanoka grew up.

Maybe in just his cat form, he's able to hide his aura, so Uozumi doesn't sense him. This lets Nanoka and Grandpa just pick him up to cuddle him, giving him a loving home again.

It would add a certain level of hilarity to tense moments going forward when things were revealed, like Nanoka asking if he still wants tuna for dinner while he's trying to be ominous and imposing. And it would lead Nanoka to trust him easier because I don't get the feeling he's actually fully up to no good. (But again, not fully caught up yet)

Detective thinking in MAO.

In preparation for craftng the series she stated that she read all of Agatha Christie's works,to better understand how a mystery manga should be structured.One of those is:Who applied the Immortality spell on these disciples in the Gokou mannor?

The Detective's analyzing

At the first chapters it seems that onmyouji Mao is the only Immortal .But as the series unfolds Mao(to his astonishment)encounters fellow disciples from the Gokou clan.Hyakka,Kamon,Shiranui,Hakubi and Natsuno.

In the conversation Hyakka reeals to Mao and Nanoka that the Gokou Master summoned his fellow onmyodo practictioners in the Five Sided Shrine,and tasked them to kill off the unassuming young man. He promises his daughter, Sana, to Mao with the reall intention that Mao will die as a target for the true heir.

So it turns out that the marriage promise was a Ruse.

In chapter 29,with the introduction of Kamon, Mao pointedly asks his former felow onmyouji, "Kamon! How are you still alive?" Kamon turns and says, "I'd like to know the answer to that myself." Just few chapters later the story engulfs the legendary technique of Taizanfukun,named after the Chinese god capable of granting immortality.

Below the historical person Abe No Seimei,during the 10th century (the Heian period)

After the so many fights ,the chilling revelations Mao,in chapter 123,discusses with Nanoka his suspicions about the how his fellow disciples became immortals.

I’m telling you that Abe No Seimei isn’t the very Gokou master. Cause actually the Gokou master stood the opposite to what Seimei believed for. Seimei fought against Evil Yokai,the other one worked hard with his Clan on professional curses

I deduce by whom:

-Who believed he could use people in any way he demanded and that he would be unpunished?

-Who was the only allowed to access the Taizanfukun technique of prolonging lifes of humans?

-Who said ,in the five Sided Shrine ”Mao’s life is a sacrifice for the good of all of us”?

Each one and al these:The Gokou Master.He was the one who secretly applied this technique,having decided to make eternal the clan,so used Mao’s life as exchange.

He planned it nearly perfectly…But with out counting on someone Crucial around there.

It’s true that Mokuzu turned Haimaru into the cat demon, but who orchestrated this plan and why?

I figure that it was the Taizanfukunn God, who likely was enraged with this selfish Gokou Instructor’s decision. So he decided to trigger haimaru becoming into Byoki.Plus it’s why it ate the Taizanfukun scrolls:The God decided:Never again this technique to be used by humans.

And what sort of things will happen?

Maonoka one day will figure the Truth.And(in order to vanquish the Gokou)they have to find how to reverse the technique, to become normal ones.No more the immortality spell.

The three souls that do great deeds! The fierce and beautiful howls that resound throughout the heavens!!

The triplet ninja dogs that reside in the Inuzuka clan. Normally, they are friendly and calm but once the fight begins, their combative spirits flare up like fire and fight the enemy.

Hana fights in collaboration with her beloved dogs, the Three Haimaru Brothers.

We do see Hana with her mother Tsume and their ninken together confronting three Sound ninja during the Invasion who were probably around chūnin level.

And they did seemnigly beat them off-panel.

She was seen tending to Akamaru's injuries after the Sakon/Ukon fight.

She was a member of the Fifth Division in the Fourth Shinobi World War and was seen only once dring the battlefield. Together with Kiba and her three dogs she used Fang Rotating Fang.

Intresting to me because I feel like we needed to see the Konoha 11 family memebers more often then little screen time.

I love your Naruto Fox AU! If you don't mind my asking, why does Hana only have two ninken? Is she getting the third Haimaru brother later?

Haha yes she has the three of them since that was supposed to be a flashback to a point when she only had two.

Just like Akamaru will slowly grow bigger... If I think of a way to explain, imagine Inuzuka kids and teens still developing so their inner dogs also change, or grow, or increase...

With MAO chapter 143 we got New,startling unveilings. I feel Natsuno saw a discrepancy in the Daigo story. So sadly someone noticed his ruse,killed him off. Who could be? Why did Yurako lose her composure? I guess she's hiding something too.

Now the Gokou will see Daigo, with Haimaru. I guess they'll after to get the Cat, for the Taizanfukun technique it has.

What do tell?

Thanks for asking! It's the first week I enable the "Ask" function :D I actually doubt about Natsuno's memory and her "mission" as she is being obviously controlled. And Daigo seems to be nice to Mao but I always think he may not be that simple. When Daigo and Mao were both young, he once tell Mao that he want to "change the world". He is very ambitious and probably the major villain of the story. (Just my guess!) Maybe he used Sana? And even Mao? Yurako is definitely hiding something but I have no idea at all.... I don't know....The latest chapter gave me a lot of bombshells and there are more possibilities now. I think the new Gokou will try to go after Haimaru but I don't think they can catch it lol. and they will possibly have a "civil war" soon as they all have different motions and goals to stay in the Gokou. And I also suspect that Kamon may betray Mao's side if there is chance to make Massago alive again. He is always morally ambiguous.... There are a lot of interesting myths here and there. I really love it!! Live long the queen Rumiko and we're looking forward to it!

In the last arc, with Hyakka and Natsuno,we see Nanoka's good insights regarding the creepy unveilings. Yurako had killed Sana,by Malice, and Intence Jealousy(the same as Naraku).That She's the Real Enemy of Maonoka-not the Byoki. So The Entity guiding Natsuno is Precise on aim:)

So what sort of Entity is it?

Btw what is this fuss guys make, about the so called "Great morals" of Renji? Morals and his Intence Hatred(that contaminates the yueqin) are an oxymoron. I see his Hipocricy.

Secondly, Nanoka is a smart girl who assessed Yurako very well. I was afraid that Haimaru would be seen as an enemy for longer, but Nanoka gave me hope that he is not. She believes Himaru is not … it's a beautiful moment. I personally had a weakness for this kitten when I saw his mini version in Sana's arms then it turned out that he is not enemy of Mao and Nanoka.Good cat,good cute,sweet cat.

Time will tell. I'm curious about it too.

Honestly, I don't really like Renji. I know his past and the council did by killing that bastard and his parents (I might be cruel, but they're not humans, they're monsters),however, I believe he has a different purpose. And as with Mei, I think he is lost and it is possible that he is looking for a way to heal his wounds because what he has done has given him no satisfaction. Personally, I think Rancji is a hypocrite, but at the same time I think he may have a plan. I don't know if you understood my twisted logic. I believe he may be an ignorant hypocrite, but of course I may be wrong.
