Bauhaus, 1920 vintage poster
Ofélia SQ @abstract-mind
It was 2AM, yet i found myself looking at products with discount in the abyss that is online shopping. An addicting desire to find a decoration for our wall, one just for myself. Even if i have to share this wall with four people—this small corner, this painting, is mine.
I found a poster i had not seen in quite some time. The poster did not credit an artist, it only said "Bauhaus 1920 vintage poster". The art was clearly done digitally, to be mass produced and sold online effortlessly.
I found myself...drawn towards those posters. They were pretty, yes—but not in the way a flower is pretty. In the way a siren song is pretty. I was never one to fall for sirens myself, i have few desires to fill me with such carnal instincts to seek for it at all costs once under a spell, the feeling of it being so close you could dig your canines into it's neck is enough to speed any man's heart.
That was not what i felt, no. It was a whisper, almost. I was unsure what had drawn me in. I could see beautiful colors and lines without the desire to buy them, what is different about this one? It was simple enough and i knew enough techniques that i could repaint it myself, but it was not enough, it would have flaws—i needed the one they sold. The one forever frozen in this A3 paper that would either catch dust in my wall or be forever locked inside it's plastic bag, gasping for air as no treasure has ever asked to become a treasure.
I pondered more over my strange feelings, if it could be remade and did not impress me that much, what made me feel this way? Why could no other poster strike my attention like this one? Why did i feel incomplete without it?
A friend of mine, an anarchist at heart, would call it blantant consumerism. A hole barely disguised with a carpet of leaves, only waiting for me to get distracted. Yes, i understood his reasoning, but i was far too inteligent to be compared to such a foolish act! Yet, my brain failed to provide me with any other results,
for such a simple question none the less; "Why do i like this?"
I look at the corner of our room. It has several canvases, some unfinished, some white, some complete. My piece is there, as well. The only piece i had ever produced: A painting inspired by these posters, abstract and with limited colors, though the materials were what shined. A patchwork of handmade canvas fabrics, glued in several spots, barely connecting, over a plane piece of paraná paper. Behind the paper, i had painted and glued some cheap thin foam that was used as a pizza plate under the store bought pizza we cooked. My anarchist friend is the one known for recycling, yet when i broke that foam to throw it out, I found it beautiful.
That was my first and only painting. I struggled to paint since, despite wanting to. When i look at these cheap, consumerist posters, it's my art that i see. Is that what drawns me in?
When my anarchist friend began volunteering in an art gallery, i found that people tended to like art that they could see themselves in. My friend had very intense emotions despite his calm demeanor, his lines were shaken and blurred and sketchy. He refused to draw otherwise. He refused to draw prettier, or more convenient. He enjoyed a canvas that was too small, and other that was taller then him. He enjoyed throwing his ink on the canvas to the point he always had to shower after a painting to get the nankin off of his hands and thighs.
I believe my fascination with him...would be how strongly he carries himself. He is no shadow, the sun competes with him for attention. I do not need such futile things, no. I do not need to be remembered, or known. Yet, when we're in an exposition together, he photographs everything with so much passion, he sees everything with so much beauty, he gives all of his body to his paintings to the point i wouldn't be surprised if he covered himself in paint and rolled over a canvas.
I believe...he is a better poet than me, although visually. He gets a good part of the wall for his art. I only made my only painting, that once it had dried the first thing i did was change completely its color palette and repaint it. When i was in the art gallery with him, all i could find where things i'd do differently, or feel nothing at all. I fear my love of art is not enough to melt my dried heart into proper ink to finish writing this poem.
It is 2:30, and i have yet to find out why i love those cheap Bahaus posters, made specifically to sell. I believe, on one hand, i understand being superficial to better sell yourself. It is all i know how to do. On the other, there's a beauty in the abstract, on not needing to be understood. Perhaps it is just a pretty poster with lines that overlap and find each other, or sharp black and white pinaccles against a burning red sky. Perhaps it is just a red square against a cream colored background. There is no texture and no technique, it is a commercial design over a painting. There are much better abstract paintings over there, with fantastic techniques. Yet—this is the one i'm drawn towards. There is nothing special about it besides it's superficial beauty, but perhaps i can find a beauty on it if i seek hard enough. And perhaps, i will want to seek that beauty on myself, as well.

I want to hear you guy’s opinions on how DELULU I’m planning to become for my canon/OC ship
Okay I know this is very sudden. But while I was walking to the train station while screaming over a commission I got this morning-
(This is the comm btw. Made by @/p0lo09 at twt. PLZ SUPPORT THE ARTIST-)
Tumblr media
(Yes Cappuccino and Caramel got married-)
I had the sudden realization on how “resourceful” japan is when it comes to making things for your favorite characters.
We can make perfumes, cute handmade ribbons, rossets for our fav characters badge, plushies (mines is ordered and made from China tho), clothes for said plushies, there’s even goods to make ita-bags and to support you on your simping journey.
Oh also not to mention the various ideas people can share online to make your simping life more fun and enjoyable.
Heck I have a SIMPING BANK where everytime I see a new thing of Almond, Margarine, and Cappuccino I put a certain amount into it.
So yeah my favorite characters are also helping me save money. IT ROCKS.
But I’m not here to talk about those things, kinda.
I’m here to tell you how delulu im planning to be just for my canon/oc ship.
Now you see… I plan to order ribbons and characterized perfume for Almond and Marigold.
But not only that.
Oh no…
Did you know…
That there’s a place in Akihabara japan where you can get marriage certificates of your favorite ship???
DO YOU KNOW WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS-
That’s right. I’m gonna be so DAMN FUCKING DELULU-
JUST TO MAKE MYSELF SO FUCKING HAPPY-
And make Almond and Marigold actually wed.
(Not canonically of course but you get the point.)
Just think about it. I bring the two (plushies versions) to the place. I make the papers. I TAKE A PIC OF THEM LOOKING LIKE THEY’RE SIGNING THEM-
I think I won’t be able to live after this if I actually do it/pos
BUT THEN, WHAT IF I ALSO TAKE THEIR WEDDING PHOTOS AT AN ACTUAL WEDDING PLACE?
LIKE HOLY SHIT ILL ACTUALLY CRY IF MY KID WAS GETTING MARRIED-
So yeah. I’m gonna go DELULU just for my otp and I’m probably also gonna make a Cappuccino and Caramel Macchiato plush and also go DELULU for them too.
What do you guys think?

Ueda is unfortunately terrible with gifts. He fretted over it online for ages onto to come to the conclusion as long as it was from the heart, that was all it matters.
Curry roux cubes, the box done up with a bow, complete with a handmade card, he presents it forward.
"Nana-neechan... Merry Christmas..."
Tumblr media
like an older sister, everything ueda does both impress nana and makes her proud. she takes the box and card, opening the latter first before the former. she smiles as she reads it, looking at him lovingly, before opening her gift. how practical! she leans forward to embrace him, holding his head beneath her chin for a moment before she kisses the top of it. what a good boy.
Tumblr media
❝ you didn't think i'd forget about you, did you? ❞ she takes a moment to excuse herself, going to fetch a bag with stuffing paper sticking out that she hands to him. when revealed, it's an oversized sweater of his favorite color. it's thick, soft, and loose at the collar so that he won't feel constrained. ❝ you always underdress for the weather, ❞ she complains in that motherly tone of hers, ❝ so i figured this way i could ensure you'd stay warm this winter. we still have a long way to go before spring, you know? you don't want to freeze before we can see the cherry blossoms, do you?? ❞ // * @bclasaeg !!

Confetti
Well, another week has come and gone, and as the working hours of Friday float away, my mind goes to think of Confetti fluttering on the wind.
The act of throwing confetti comes from Northern Italy in the middle ages, however it was far from pleasant, with anything from old leaves to rotten eggs launched at noble folk as they made their way through town. Over time this changed to the nobles tossing small sweets from their carriages at the common folk, many of which were Sugared Almonds or Coriander Seeds. The almonds are known as ‘Confetti’, and this is how the name came to be. In the late 1800s the first recorded instance of throwing paper confetti came into place in Paris on New Years Eve, and from there the tradition of throwing paper confetti during a celebration stuck.
Confetti is what started it all for Redhill Confetti. Ten years ago when I was planning my own wedding, I knew I wanted a vintage style theme for decor and such, and having seen some mass produced paper confetti online for a considerable price I knew I could not only make it myself, but do it much more economically. So armed with an old romance novel and a heart shaped hole punch, I spent many an evening in the run up to our big day simply punching paper hearts out of the torn sheets of the novel.
With the wedding over and the honeymoon a long and distant memory, we were still left with a large box of confetti, and rather than throw it away I bagged it up and put it on Ebay. Within a couple of days it had all sold, with people messaging me to ask if I had any more. An idea formed in the back of our minds and at that point the starting blocks of Redhill Confetti were set into place.
Our very first made-to-order product was actually Fifty Shades of Grey confetti, with the book series at the height of its popularity, people loved the idea of delicate small paper hearts fluttering down around them, only for Great Aunt Maud to spot a rather salacious word or two as they settle. With all our copies sourced second hand from charity shops or just given to us where people had heard of us through word of mouth, for a good 18 months we were inundated with those books, before expanding into other titles with everything from fairy tales to golf manuals. Sheet music was another very popular design, with this being very easy to get hold of and always looked beautiful with its aged paper.
When the time came to start a family, the business had been quietly ticking by in the background and in the summer of 2014 I quit my full time job as a logistics coordinator and made a go of the business full time. At the same time I discovered I was pregnant, and in a huge leap of faith I stuck to my plans and finished at the shipping company to work full time in the wedding business. This was by far the scariest but also the best decision I have ever made. With the time and clarity that came with that resignation, I was able to source a UK manufacturer for our Seed Paper, and found the oldest mechanised papermill in the world right here in the South of England.
The seed paper confetti was a huge hit. Handmade from recycled paper pulp, with wildflower seeds actually in the fibres of the paper, we soon found this product so popular we were sourcing at wholesale levels, all whilst hand punching every single piece individually. It certainly gives our arms a workout, though we haven’t yet considered any arm wrestling tournaments.
In 2018 we were offered the chance to stock Forget-me-not seed paper in addition to the wildflower, which has become very well known in the Funeral trade, with the idea of planting new life whilst remembering those that have passed being a timely reminder of how much we miss our loved ones. We now supply numerous charities and NHS Trusts with these seed paper shapes so they can include these small tokens in memorial boxes.
Throughout the pandemic with the restrictions in place for gatherings, many people came to us for seed paper memorial pieces, and I can now imagine there is a new crop of flowering blooms that appear in the memory of those no longer with us.
Now with the pandemic a long way behind us (hopefully), I look to the future to where we can develop confetti supply and what we can offer. At the tail end of 2022 I was lucky enough to be contacted by a local family whose music teacher Aunt had passed away after over 70 years of teaching piano to local families, and with that had amassed a huge collection of sheet music. They were going to simply send the whole lot to the recycling centre before someone put them in touch with me, and three full car loads later my workshop is now full floor to ceiling with music books dating back to the 1930s. With this we are looking to ramp up production of sheet music confetti, with new cutting tools arriving this week.
Well that’s it for another week, the new year settles into place with lots of exciting new things in the works for 2023.
Enjoy your weekends!

It's 3. something am but my brain is full of ideas and holidays are closing in by the second maybe on how to gift a journal or some kind of useful stationery for like folks who enjoy this form of art.... cuz let's be honest here this is art and its so damn personal I've never ever seen journals that look alike.
Hello! To do a very specific gift ideas post I would need more time to look for things and more references I think, and I wouldn't have enough time now (I am annotating this on my bujo for next year), but I can write down a few tips on here in case someone needs last minute help!
Gift ideas/tips for people who love journaling:
my top idea is to go in local stores, try to avoid super big chains of stores, this way you might find something unique that the person you are shopping for wouldn't have otherwise found. There's plenty of places with very cool journals, both handmade or just of smaller brands that you don't see everywhere.
if you know well the person you are getting a gift for you can go two ways: either get them something you know they use A LOT, or go the opposite and get them something totally out of their comfort zone. This could be a great challenge for them to try new things, sometimes we need a little push to try new stuff, and that's a gift itself in my opinion.
a personal favourite of mine are highlighters so I could never not recommend getting a nice pack of new highlighters to someone, I am particularly fond of pastel colours because they are amazing both for journaling and for school notes and book annotations.
maybe a nice pencil case could be a nice gift too, there's so many options out there you will surely find something for everyone's taste
a less common thing could also be a journal sleeve, there's book sleeves online that are super cool and protect your book covers from being damaged in your bag/backpack. You could pick one up with the purpuse of protecting the journal of the person you are shopping for.
this is more on the bookish side of things, but it was really appreciated by my best friend last year. I created for her a book annotating starter pack, to go alongside the custom reading journal I made her. I got her a nice pencil, an highlighter, some colorful post it notes and tabs and a tiny additional notebook to write all her favourite quotes on. I got everything in the same colour so it looked really thought out, but it was a quite cheap but effective gift.
going back to journaling, one thing I m considering for this same friend this year is a journaling prompt jar. You could also do this in another format, but it can be nice to just write down very random journaling prompts on pieces of paper for when your friend is out of ideas. You could do a themed thing, like self care prompts with a self care journal maybe.
talking about a self care journal, this is something you could do for a friend with very little effort. You get a pretty journal whatever you prefer, and then you can create different sections for your friend. Write in for them self care ideas, write inspiring quotes in it, create a spread in which they can write down compliments people give them so that they are "forced" to practiced a bit of self worth. When I created one in the past for someone who was really struggling at the time I had also wrote down a very random list of small things to appreaciate in life even in bad days, like the feeling of getting home when it's cold outside, all these little things you tend to forget about when your mental health is not at its best. There's plenty ideas for a self care journal (in the future I could do a specific post, although I don't keep one myself).
one last tip is to just go around stores without a clear idea and see what artistic tools make you think of this person. You see a nice set of pencils in coulours that remind you of them? Get that. Whatever you see that makes you think of this person is probably a good idea, in my opinion some of the best gifts are the most randm. And again always keep in mind that whatevr you get for this person you can probably custum in very easy ways to make it perfect for them. I personally really like to make things as much as I can instead of buying them because I think the time I put into crafting these things for people shows how much I care for them, it does not have to be perfect, in fact it has to be made with love and than believe me it will be perfect.
These are all the ideas that came to my mind right away, I hope it might be helpful for someone. I might do a more researched and structured post next year. If you need help with more specific things send me an ask and I'll do my best to help!

The Power of a Business Logo Stamp
Tumblr media
The Power of a Business Logo Stamp: Branding Beyond the Digital Realm
In the fast-paced, digitally driven world of business, it's easy to overlook the importance of physical branding. We often focus on website design, social media presence, and online marketing strategies to establish and promote our businesses. However, the tangible, real-world elements of branding should not be underestimated. One such element is the business logo stamp, a simple yet effective tool that can leave a lasting impression on your customers and clients.
The Basics of a Business Logo Stamp A business logo stamp is a physical rubber or self-inking stamp that bears your company's logo or emblem. It is typically used to mark documents, packaging, promotional materials, and various surfaces with your brand's visual identity. These stamps can be custom-made to match your logo perfectly, allowing you to replicate your brand image consistently.
Why Use a Business Logo Stamp? Consistency: The use of a logo stamp ensures that your brand identity remains consistent across various physical materials. Whether you're stamping product packaging, official documents, or promotional materials, you're sending a unified and recognizable message to your audience.
Professionalism: A well-designed and cleanly stamped logo can convey a sense of professionalism and attention to detail. This can be especially important when dealing with official documents, contracts, or invoices.
Branding Beyond Screens: While digital branding is essential, it's also important to leave an impression in the real world. A logo stamp can be a subtle yet impactful way to do so. When your clients receive a stamped document or package, it creates a tangible connection to your brand.
Cost-Efficient: Business logo stamps are a cost-effective branding tool. Once you've invested in the stamp, you can use it repeatedly without incurring additional costs, making it a wise long-term investment.
Versatility: Logo stamps can be used on various surfaces, including paper, cardboard, fabric, and more. This versatility allows you to brand a wide range of materials.
Marketing Opportunity: Stamped materials can serve as a form of low-key marketing. When your customers receive documents or packages with your stamped logo, it reinforces your brand in their minds, which can lead to word-of-mouth referrals.
How to Use a Business Logo Stamp Effectively To make the most of your business logo stamp, follow these best practices:
Quality Matters: Invest in a high-quality stamp to ensure that the impressions are clean and consistent.
Positioning: Pay careful attention to the placement of the stamp on your materials. Consistency in placement is key for a professional look.
Ink Selection: If you're using a self-inking stamp, select ink that matches your brand colors. Consistency in color reinforces your brand identity.
Test Before Mass Production: Before stamping a large batch of materials, always test the stamp on a sample to ensure it looks just the way you want it to.
Regular Maintenance: Keep your stamp clean and well-maintained to ensure it continues to produce crisp impressions.
Consider Durability: Depending on the material you're stamping, consider the durability of the ink and the stamp. Some materials may require special inks or a specific stamp type to ensure longevity.
Examples of Logo Stamp Use Product Packaging: Stamp your logo on product packaging to give it a professional and branded touch. This is particularly effective for small businesses and handmade products.
Invoices and Contracts: Use the stamp on official documents to convey professionalism and brand consistency.
Promotional Materials: Stamp your logo on promotional items like notepads, pens, or tote bags to reinforce your brand at events and trade shows.
Thank You Cards: Personalize thank you cards with your logo stamp to show appreciation and brand loyalty.
Retail Bags and Tags: If you have a retail store, use logo stamps on bags and tags to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase brand recognition.
In conclusion, a business logo stamp is a powerful yet often overlooked tool for branding. It provides consistency, professionalism, and a tangible connection to your brand in the physical world. When used effectively, it can be a cost-efficient and versatile addition to your branding strategy, helping your business stand out and leave a memorable impression on your customers.

Expert Advice on How to Handle, Wash, and Prepare Fresh Chopped Green Vegetables
Tumblr media
It is common practise to use a number of pesticides and fertilizers to cultivate your green vegetables, some of which may be harmful if ingested. Therefore, always choose the right online cut vegetable delivery partner which takes care of your health and provides you the right vegetables.
In this article, you will learn some helpful tips for handling, washing and preparing fresh vegetables at your home.
